They should just play the roar of jets over the loudspeakers, with no planes flying over.
Then tell everyone that we have invisible planes.

And JIMC5499.... Troll level God Mode! So cruel. Because I would know better. Yet I would salivate at the thought.... and race to ATS, just to see the thread possibilities.

Cruel cruel cruel... 😈😠😲😆😆😆😆😆!

Tears from my eyes like the old littering public service announcement of the Indian Chief.... 😓

Someday though it may happen . . . maybe even some day very soon. Here's hoping that it will be some day versus someday. or should that be reversed?

My eye might leak a bit if I got to see the CAF`s B-29 do a heritage flight with a B-1 or B-52.

I`ve never known Fifi to do a flight other than with the squadrons` B-24 though.

I heard the YF23 was faster than the raptor. Is that true? Also, that should be the 2 black widows side by side in your picture.

I was literally just looking at a similar pic of another P-38 with F-22 heritage flight and remembered a time in the early 90`s when I knew the YF-22 as the "Lightning", its still up in Internet Explorer lol.

They were pretty close speed wise. The F-22A was slightly faster, and faster in supercruise. The -23 beat it out in other fields though.

So could it be argued that Lockheed won the ATF more or less for industrial base reasons, since Northrop had just won the ATB and the plan at the time was for that to still lead to 100+ airframes?

Now that I think of it, ALL of the recent procurement awards have a strong element of "industrial base preservation" to them. Even the JSF could be argued to have been a Lockheed win because at the time Boeing/McD had just been awarded or were busy working on the C-17 and Rhino contracts while the F-22 was still in development and the C-130 line was winding down...

As to the super bowl, it's a shame it won't be related to the LRS-B...

It's nothing if not a very handsome bird.

But then again, so was the F-111

LMAO better yet , have them play the roar of jets over the loudspeakers and then generate some serious wind over the stadium. I give it 5 seconds top before it gets posted as something strange in ATS and infrared analysed.

I would go with Super Hornets out of Lemoore NAS which can stage out of Moffett in Mountain View. We did hear some rumblings about several F-22's spotted at Travis AFB last week but those could be just as easily being transited to Alaska to replace the Raptors that the 525th sent to Japan.

On a side note, I wont be flying in the chopper on Sunday but we are expecting the same kind of airspace restrictions that we have in place during a presidential visit.

Edit to add: The stadium is smack dab in an tech area/residential zone so the jets will no doubt be taking it easy on the pass.

If I had my way it would be a B-2 escorted by a few Raptors or better yet a 'Stealth" Heritage flight by adding in an F-117

It would be cool to see the F-35's do a flyover for the Super Bowl, but I doubt that will happen.

In the place that I live I get to see them flyover when they are doing exercises. They are louder than the F-18's, but look cooler. IMO, at least.

I don't watch that game. So I wouldn't know.

They are loud though, you can hear the difference in the engine noise between the F-18's and the F-35's. I saw two flying overhead the other day. I'm not an aviation expert, but it sounded like they were testing stall speeds.
