Ok....lets start the fun.
Leviticus...if anyone has ever read Leviticus other than the famous quote.
11'(S)He shall slay it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD, and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle its blood around on the
12'He shall then cut it into its pieces with its head and its (T)suet, and the priest shall arrange them on the wood which is on the fire that is
on the altar.
I see nowhere any church doing this?
14'Also if you bring a grain offering of early ripened things to the LORD, you shall bring (O)fresh heads of grain roasted in the fire, grits of new
growth, for the grain offering of your early ripened things.
15'You shall then put oil on it and lay incense on it; it is a grain offering.
16'The priest shall offer up in smoke (P)its memorial portion, part of its grits and its oil with all its incense as an offering by fire to the
15and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he shall remove (S)with the kidneys.
16'The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as food, an offering by fire for a soothing aroma; (T)all fat is the LORD'S.
17'It is a (U)perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you shall not eat any fat (V)or any blood.'"
same here, you get the point about offerings.....so many different offerings with so many different ways of doing it. Oh no....I may have burnt my
lamb to the east instead of the north or ate some fat (easy to do)....now God must kill me like Nadab and Abihu.
'Nevertheless, (B)you are not to eat of these, among those which chew the cud, or among those which divide the hoof: the camel, for though it chews
cud, it does not divide the hoof, it is unclean to you.
5'Likewise, the shaphan, for though it chews cud, it does not divide the hoof, it is unclean to you;
6the rabbit also, for though it chews cud, it does not divide the hoof, it is unclean to you;
7and the pig, for though it divides the hoof, thus making a split hoof, it does not chew cud, it is unclean to you.
8'You shall not eat of their flesh nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you.
Hmm...anyone up for a game of pigskin...err I mean football?
10'(D)But whatever is in the seas and in the rivers that does not have fins and scales among all the teeming life of the water, and among all the
living creatures that are in the water, they are detestable things to you,
11and they shall be [a]abhorrent to you; you may not eat of their flesh, and their carcasses you shall detest.
Some bibles say abomination just as the same as gay sex is an abomination. Filthy shellfish eaters!!!! I won't go into more (there's alot) but you
get the idea.
1Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2"Speak to the sons of Israel, saying: 'When a woman gives birth and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean for seven days, (A)as in the
days of her menstruation she shall be unclean.
3'On (B)the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
4'Then she shall remain in the blood of her purification for thirty-three days; she shall not touch any consecrated thing, nor enter the sanctuary
until the days of her purification are completed.
5'But if she bears a female child, then she shall be unclean for two weeks, as in her menstruation; and she shall remain in the blood of her
purification for sixty-six days.
Hmm....if you're a woman and have given birth.....better wait the right amount of days to go to church.
ok...I could go on and on but I will hear the same things from the same people. "That doesn't count". Well if you take the bible as the litteral
word of God then YES IT DOES!!!!! Over and out for now.....still looking at scripture.
