Is this for real? It has to be a hoax. I would think this would be all over the main stream media. If it is a hoax, it's a darn good one! The elephant's look of concentration and dexterity as he maneuvers the brush is amazing!

It's very real but I was told by a lady that ran a proper elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai that these elephants are tortured into learning to paint

That elephant could end up doing one in style of Jackson Pollock with his handler as a medium.
They do have impressive intelligence and dexterity, though.

Sorry. Its very sad but is seen as a means to an end in Thailand. Poor elephants. The tourists have no idea unfortunately.

Seen it live in Chang Mai Thailand, all the animals seemed content but who knows what goes on behind closed doors

Well if this elephant can do all that,then lets elect it for president for '16! I mean I don't care what its political leanings are,it has more brains than the bunch we have running now.
