this is by far my favorite candy

those are off the chain.
i am not big on candy/sweets, etc but when i do munch out i am particular.
im not into your typical candy bar crap. snickers and butterfinger....
not big on ice creams but i do eat gelatto here and there.

anyway, what are your favorites?
my wife always rags on me for my old man choices.

along with the chick o stick, i like necco wafers. worthers original(as in the original original...none of that chewy crap)
i like mary jane's and bit o honey.
basically the old timey types

i like rock candy.. i will make an exception for some swedish fish

Generally, Hershey Special Dark. Otherwise, anything with chocolate AND NO PEANUTS.

BTW, I've never even heard of "Chick-O-Stick" before.

I can't really think of any candy that I eat that would be considered "old man candy". Although my father eats these disgusting, revolting, black licorice things. Make's me gag almost looking at them.

They are FAR FAR worse than they look. IT'S A TRAP!

We call them sweets in the UK not candy, generally nicer candy and chocolate in the UK, in my travelling experience.

I generally go for Haribo, which I think originate from Germany couple of big bags gets you through a night. Either those or a bag of marks and Spencer's sour fruit pastils

Chick-o-sticks - when I was a kid in 1969 1970, those were my favorite by far, as well. I had one maybe 10 years ago and it was good although not the same.... Those were the good ole days. Thanks for the memory jog. a reply to: Mugly

I enjoy a Snickers or Hershey Bar with almonds now and then, but the ones I'll eat myself sick on are Circus Peanuts or Orange Slices. Out of those two, I'd say Orange Slices are my most favorite.

When I was young we used to eat the Charleston Chew straight out of the freezer! Loved them
Not too keen on sweets now but, if I were to indulge today it would be a 3 musketeers. The S.O is partial to peanut M&Ms.
Oh and he loves chocolate covered cherries. They can't have the white syrup, it must be clear.
I made some one year for Christmas but, no one would wait the appropriate amount of time before eating them so I didn't think they were that good...

My husband just bought some necco wafers the other day, I was surprised they still made those miserable excuses for candy.

He's 67, so yeah it's "old man candy" he also likes burnt peanuts/candy peanuts whateverthehell they are. Oh and Crackerjacks, you get maybe 2 peanuts in the box now, if they are being generous that day!

Chick o sticks are good but where never a favorite.
All time favorite has to be "spree"
I loved runts until they changed the flavors recently.
Charleston chews cold are great but only chocolate ones.

I liked a bunch of stuff
Blow pops
Tootsie pops
Jolly ranchers
Gummy worms
Nerds
I wonder why I have so many fillings? Lol

The guy who invented these used to drink in my pub.
I used to like them better when they had all the e numbers in which gave you cancer, they did taste better.

This is what I call old man candy or at least old lady candy since my grandma always liked this.

I like pretty much any candy, but i never can decide if reese's cups or kit-kats are the best.

I love chicko sticks! I wonder if I could make something like it somehow. I stopped eating the actual chicko sticks because I try not to eat something with that many ingredients.
