Clown are creepy, I think, because they're fake and essentially masked: they put on the happy colorful air, but we don't know what they're really about. Can't trust a clown.

I know if I saw a clown running at me in the dead of night in or from a cemetery, I'd probably be pretty freaked out.

Hell, any clown in the middle of the night, unless it was a nighttime festival or something.

Id prolly had shot a clown running towards me. "it" and pennywise creeped me out. Then theres the violator from SPAWN. Clowns are scary for the reason they can look happy and hide evil intent.

This story is funny.. in a creepy sort of way.

It reminds me of a society that would go out of their way to do really odd things.. like hosting a ball at a laundry mat at night, with lights, dancing, food etc... they were chased out of there.

They also dressed up as clowns, and over many miles, stood at bus stops along a route. One clown at each stop got onto the bus. I think the driver kicked all the clowns out after the 6th one tried to get on.

Did you read the entire OP? It states that weird clowns have been seen surprising people in California, and states that streets and cemeteries are the locations for the sightings, and the video at the top of the news page shows some of them as well.

Not really from what I gather. I saw a documentary on them and noticed a few people of other races at a huge festival they had going on.

They're....sort of like white people gangster rap? Maybe? But with more of a freedom and be yourself/individualist twist?

My first thought is that it's a combination of pennywise (there's a scene in It with the clown in the cemetery) and just stupid kids looking to get in on the scare prank craze. But what doesn't add up is why the clown would be there late at night when you might not expect other people there to film you - I'd think you're doing it for the shock and want it on video, but creeping around at night in a cemetery - that IS just weird.

Lol, yes, because nothing say "individuality" like joining a gang and conforming to the herd mentality.

But yeah, just a stupid mostly white based-on-a-white-"rap"-group's persona that is supposed to embody...white rap gangsterism? White trash wanna be gangsters is what i've seen.

I fancied a few ICP songs back in the day but never really considered myself a Juggalo or Juggalette for that matter though. No offense to Juggalo's either by the way they are usually very misunderstood by most folks because of their often outlandish appearance. As for clowns, I heard they were invented during the Black Plague/Bubonic Plague as a way to cheer up sick children. The method seems a bit odd to me. The big red lips, pale skin, swollen feet, and big balls for buttons, are all meant to mimic the symptoms of bubonic plague. Not sure if true but I read it somewhere.
