When the officer asked Yates if she had any money to pay, Yates said she did not. The officer then asked Yates what she planned to do with the bill came, and Yates explained that “Jesus” was going to pay her tab.

What makes people say things this asinine? Was this woman legitimately expecting the Good Lord to swoop down and make her tab whole with the restaurant, in which case she apparently suffers from some significant mental issues, or did she believe this lie would somehow abdicate her responsibility to pay for the food she just ate, which makes her pretty damn stupid.

Regardless, this is what happens when the standard entitlement attitude meets crazy. I'm sure we'll see more of this in the coming years.

I have no doubt He provides, but you have to take matters into your own hands at the same time. Simply going to restaurant and trying to dine and dash isn't what He meant. This is what food pantries and other assistance orgs are for.

having worked in a mental hospital for some number of years in the past, i can say that delusions like this are not unheard of. I have had millions of dollars given to me. One lady was having an invisible house built for me.

The Judge who hears her case should give her a probationary sentence to pay off her tab and jailing fees, et cetera, by having her work community service at a Soup Kitchen for the homeless. Make her serve The Lord to earn any blessings she feels should be bestowed upon her. Here is your Reality Check ma'am.

Because Jesus did not pay the tab and he has diplomatic immunity. That only leaves her to pay or be prosecuted for not doing so.

Jesus doesn't manifest at will to take care of anybodies dirty work or loose ends.

In fact, he manifests never.

Because she didn't pay, the restaurant won't be able to effectively pay their cooks.

Jesus can't pay a bill for a restaurant that eventually won't exist if this irresponsible behavior catches on.
