The Federal judge involved in the case about the Administration's plan to issue work permits to illegal aliens has threatened to hold the DHS Secretary and others in Contempt because the Administration has failed to correct "mistakes" made after the Judge issued an order not to do that last February.

Seems the DHS is defying the order.

The problem is because of an Executive Order from President Obama.

Looks like more arrogance from a renegade Administration.

They can't beat the Court, so they simply ignore everything.

Federal Judge threatens to hold DHS Secretary in contempt

The presiding federal Judge in Texas vs. United States Andrew Hanen is not playing around. Wednesday, Judge Hanen threatened to hold Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson in contempt of court.

Under Johnson’s watch, and after Judge Hanen blocked President Obama’s immigration overreach, approximately 2,000 individuals “erroneously” received work permits. To date, Johnson has yet to correct the mistake to Judge Hanen’s satisfaction.

Don't you know the IRS is tearing his tax returns upside down looking for 'errors'.....

If I were in his shoes, I'd be hiring body guards forthwith....

Well Lois Lerner and Eric Holder can give some first hand advice.

They're both in Contempt of Congress as it stands.

Certain politicians need to go to prison over all these immigration issues. I think there's going to be quite the conservative backlash after obama's out of office and the sleeping majority of Americans who've been quietly biting their tongues are going swing back in full force.

I can't understand the over-reaction on this. Obama runs the executive branch which includes all agencies that deal with immigration, in case you didn't know. If he chooses to prioritize deporting certain groups over others how is that a crime? Isn't issuing visas and the like also under his command?

And the same people mad about this always turn around and claim that they love immigration, it just makes no sense.

I wish I could believe that will be the case. Too many slime bags in the Republican Establishment for that to be likely...

Executive Orders can't be the problem. Until recently, Obama had issued the least amount of executive orders since Grover Cleveland. He is about neck and neck with Bush now. When conservatives don't like something, they mention calling for a constitutional convention.

What do any other EOs have to do with this case that is in Court?

Deflections are not the issue.

Might want to read about the background.

Then make rebuttals based on all that.

What's not to understand ?

First it use to be NO ONE. or group of people is above the law.

The current administration, and it's lackeys at the DHS, and other government agencies are picking and choosing when the law matters (ACA,Gun regulation for example.

Then turn a willful blind eye to millions of people from South of the Border because for no other reason they wanted to fatten their voter base.

Something very wrong with that picture.

If x doesn't have to follow the law, Then YZ, through A-V doesn't have to either.

There is a little system called checks and balances...which has been systematically eroded or bypassed now a days. They should all be impeached and tried for their crimes!

That's what the Executive branch does. They make priorities of which laws to focus on. When Bush was President he and his AG said they were focusing on pornography. Totally stupid, but every government gets to set their priorities, it's nothing new.

Immigration changes by EO and pornography are two different things.

This EO by Obama may actually be illegal.
