No, but attacking them is done via the Dark Web in an attempt to hide who they are, what they were doing and how they did it.

Most of the time a major event, noticed by tons of people, is just a distraction for something more serious.

Such as last Xmas, during the PSN DDOS, was a mask for getting to actual Sony networks.

Actually, now that I think of it, it would not surprise me if banks did operate in the dark web, as a means of hiding their wealth etc.

They've threatened to ddos PSN and Xbox during christmas months prior and kept bringing it up.

I wouldn't be surprised if banks have their own separate internet that we don't know about. Maybe branches of the Federal Reserve and World Banks have private networks between them?

They probably hacked some gov server and we won't hear about it for ten years.

The time-frame for their attack ends in about 26 minutes.
It's 2:34 EST at the moment and nothing special yet.

It's over now...but the map totally lit up with attacks 100's of more attacks than normal for about 30 seconds.

Probably someone on their network. Some of these might not even be attacks. It's only a portion of all the cyber attacks happening at the moment as well.

So does anyone know what happened?

Whelp we are winding down the 2 o clock hour and still no one is running around panicking in the streets. ISIS has 10 minutes or they have just committed the 17th Greater Sin of lying and therefore must behead themselves.

Definitely makes me sleepy and want to take a nap.
