Well Gordi, You have me stumped????
What do you mean your new Hooley?
Like this?
www.chancershooley.com...
Heck, I had to look it up, I thought it was a new name of a guitar. LOL!!

Well, THAT was very good detective work kat! and VERY close to the mark.... but Jessie was right!

MY wee (duet) band is called BlonnaHooley, and I had to sack the other half of the duo a few months ago.
A "Hooley" is a big Celtic Party, so loud it makes the room shake! (Or it can also be used as a short-form of "Hooligan")
and we often refer to the weather here as "Blawin' a Hooley!" which loosely translates as Blowing up a storm.
(I thought that the metaphor of a huge storm rocking up like a big Celtic party fitted the style of music I was after)
And I used to joke that, because I was full of hot air, I was Blawin' (or Blowing) so the other half must be the "Hooley".

I just recruited a new "Hooley" to replace the old one, and rehearsals have been going well, so we should be gigging again early in the new year (all being well).

That sounds much more complicated when I try to explain it!!! LOL

HAPPY TUESDAY!

(and YES Jessie..... you Found Me!!! LOL)

I'm a bit better now - Yesterday seemed to be the high point of all the mess, and it's slowly receding. Today was suspiciously quiet, but compared to the last couple days this was paradise.

Part of what made yesterday so unbearable was that I wasn't running on my usual amount of sleep - 2.5 hours is not enough to function on, and all it does is magnify the emotions from the previous couple days.

Can't say I'll be 100% back to normal, but blanking out my memory of the last few days helps.

Hey there Sweetie! Yeah, lack of sleep can be a real bummer. I have insomnia and could easily be an owl. Lucky for me that I'm disabled and don't have to work so I can sleep during the day to catch up if needed. My sleeping schedule is all over the place. Hang in there James! I have the pixies and faeries looking out for a nice young lady for you. They won't accept just anyone, so she will be someone very special.

Ok,
a) I have ALL my bits thankyou!! LOL
b) NOTHING is WORN under the Kilt!

(__I__)

I haven't got any recent recordings or videos of the band... I spent a YEAR getting the last Hooley up to speed and had just started gigging with him (we did about 6 I think??) when he had to go!

I will try and record something with the New Hooley soon!

You guys are cracking me up with the Kilt questions. Poor Gordi had no idea he would be risking his manly parts! LOL

Night – My last entry was on Page 135. We are getting ready to save the ghost.

Foss – Make sure you are taking care of you!!! If you let yourself get run down it’s really easy to stumble. Get some rest! We are all here thinking of you!!! Does getting lost in the music help?

Gordi - BlonnaHooligans! That even sounds fun!!!

I’m working hard at not working today. HAHAHA Nah, I’m doing windows updates on all of my servers and terrorizing the hospital. Everyone keeps calling asking why they are so slow. Sorry my hamsters can’t run any faster! HAHAHA

I thought the "Joline" was a bust. That song should be sung by a woman. Just my opinion. I still enjoyed your rendition.

How about giving this one a try...

www.youtube.com...

If you can get this one right, or something similar, it will be a legacy for your kids. You have very beautiful eye's (the picture's I have seen).

I am sure your wife and kid's look into those eye's of yours and see hope, and their future. Give em something to remember you by.

I tell that to Jim all the time. Give us something to remember you by. His Dad wrote a song (not copied) He actually wrote it. And it is a song that would make him and his son rich, if he would just get his Sh#t together.

Thanks kat!

hmmm, sorry I'm not too keen on the Eric Clapton song, it's just not my style!
(But THANKS! for the compliment!!)

I've actually written LOADS of songs. Probably in the hundreds by now.
Problem is... none of the local pubs/clubs are interested in paying for original stuff that their customers don't know.
That's why my current band is doing covers of other songs, so we can get paid to gig!

I have written songs for the Shed and Shedmates before though!

PS - If you liked my eyes... Check out my eldest son's baby pic!
(It always gets Cody's missus "in the mood" apparently!!! ROFL)

You are very blessed.

Please I hope no one takes my thoughts in a bad way. I'm just being a little sentimental today. And feeling melencoly.

I do remember your shed song. Loved it.

I need to get off the kleenex.. This is what happens when I have too much time off work.
