If the radiation from alien technology does cause such a thing, well a lot of ATS member would be in trouble...If they were truly genuine, but I'm no medical expert.

I've seen enough freaky deeky crap in my quater of a life time to get where your coming from though, especially if the words came from someone close to you.

Although I've heard of tumors causing hallucinations before, although I've never really looked into it.

My condolences though.

I'd like to believe that aliens who have the technology to visit our planet and are careful enough to abduct and return people in ways so as to be undetectable and hide their presence would be aware of human sensitivity to radiation and have the technology to run their tests without damaging the subjects. It seems a logical conclusion that they wouldn't bother returning the subjects if they weren't concerned with their continued survival. So I find it hard to believe that your brothers possible abduction would be related to his tumor.

And having said that, my mother died of cancer and it had invaded her brain. Her memory was affected and she hallucinated. Her cancer was relatively fast once it reached her brain, but I've read of brain cancers that can take many years to become problematic and can have impact before they are known.

I've lost 8 people in my family in the past 6 years - 5 to cancer, 1 to alzheimers, 1 to an aneurysm, and another to heart disease. I know how the years after a death can feel. I have 3 other members of my family in critical condition right now. I'm only in my early 40s, so its not like this is expected at my age, but being the youngest in the family has its burdens. So I probably know the sting of your loss all too well and truly sympathize for you. Please know that you're not alone is your sadness on this anniversary of your brother's death. Hopefully you've remembered some of the good times and tried not to focus on the tragedy. I find that helps...

I really hate to be thar guy, and I'd be looking for a reason for this horrible event as well. However, there's nothing that can't be easily explained. First off, while at the camp you knew your brother had a brain tumor, right? Stress can cause every symptom you experienced. The reason, possibly, it seemed like you "knew," could be one of several. Confirmation bias is likely, today I actually had a period of dread where my girlfriend didn't text me all day long. It's not like her, and we've been going through a pretty serious medical situation. I felt a gut wrenching feeling in my stomach that something had happened. That is until she called me to bitch about how her boss didn't let her have her break until 3 hours late because work was so busy. Instant relief, I'll probably never think about the dread I felt again. However, had something happened, I would have "known". Maybe your mother didn't contact you, maybe you heard it in a family member's voice and your subconscious picked up on what happened/was happening. It's not at all improbable.
As for the UFO, or ship, your brother had a brain tumor that cracked his school. You don't need me to tell you this can cause delusions, paranoia, and personality changes. I'm sorry, but it's not suprising he was acting like this given his condition.
I don't draw the same conclusions you do, in fact it seems fairly clear to me what happened. However, I would need to rationalize this as well, how can something so horrible happen to a good person out of the blue? I get it. Hopefully I don't upset you eith my opinion, maybe it even helps you find peace. Above all, I'm sorry for your loss.

I am very sorry for the loss of your brother. Although my story does not deal with aliens I would like to recount it for you. I was ten years old and in the fourth grade. My brother (a musician who's band just got signed to Atlantic Records) and mother had a horrible argument which I witnessed; he stormed out of the house promising never to return again. I was upset. My father realized I was upset and said, "if it is a nice day tomorrow I will take you out of school early and we will go fishing". I was so excited. The next day came and I sat in school just waiting anxiously because it was a beautiful day. My father arrived, late, but he arrived. I was so excited I grabbed my book bag and bragged one last time to my friends. I ran down the halls and my father greeted me at the entrance of the school. My big smile turned to sadness when my father told me he wasnt there for the fishing trip, instead he came to get me because my brother died. Earlier that morning my brother succumbed to a heroin overdose. Again, I'm sorry for your loss. Also, I'm a new member to ATS , so hello to all!

Hey there,

I have information you may find interesting. Oddly enough, this connection has also been on my mind.

Last year, my sister had a benign (thank God) glioma tumor removed from her brain. She used to have seizures as a baby. She also has memories of being abducted. Only pleasant experiences, with good food and friendly beings. We joke about it now, the tumor. We say it was her 'upgrade chip,' so she could talk to the aliens. I've never considered the possibility that it gave her the tumor, though.

But we both think they're connected.

I'm sorry for the loss of brother, may you keep him with you wherever you go

I would like to first applaud you for your willingness to share this story and events with the ATS community. Secondly, let me offer my sincere condolences with what happened in the passing of your Brother.

In my amateurish pursuit into trying to understand better the UFO phenomena, I hear and read many an interesting story. In many of these, there is a profound effect on the (supposed) abductees and generally it is not a positive one. Medical complications of ones body and health seems to be a reoccurring theme in many of these. There have been a number of 'reports' of all types of maladies associated with an abduction experience and Cancer is one of them.

One of the more famous reports was the "Cash-Landrum incident" which was a reported Unidentified Flying Object sighting from the United States in 1980, which witnesses insist was responsible for damage to their health. It is one of very few UFO cases to result in civil court proceedings. It can be classified as a Close Encounter of the Second Kind, due to its reported physical effects on the witnesses and their automobile.

The Cash-Landrum incident occurred only one day after the Rendlesham Forest Incident was said to have happened in the UK. Because of that very close time-frame, I always thought that made both of those events more interesting (than others).

There also is a book entitled; "Taken: Inside the Alien-Human Abduction Agenda by Dr. Karla Turner PHD". It claims to be one of the most powerful and explosive exposes ever released. Dr. Turner died mysteriously of cancer in 1996, and it is speculated that she was silenced for coming to close to the truth. Available for free in full online. It is also available as a downloadable PDF here. If I recall correctly, the original publishing of the book was back in the early 90's.

I have not read the above book yet and am only passing it along as it was refereed to me a while back by a fellow researcher from MUFON. But if your interested in continuing your quest for answers I'd google Abductions (and/or abductees) and Cancer (and/or ailments).

JESUS CHRIST! ALMIGHTY! Do you guys take forever to research anything to find the Truth. All of ATS is drowning in information and theory and concepts. Hyron, I am replying to you to help you gain an understanding because I used to live in Long Beach off Xemino and your story contains LBC so you must have been my neighbor at one point so I want to help you. I currently reside in Newport Beach. I want you to investigate why your brother died and find out the way I found out.

#1 read Behold a Pale Horse in that book there are many clues to even greater mysteries the one you have to hone in on that relates to cancer and why the Gray race offered us Tech is that thier race is going extinct and they are losing their immune system. This is again verified by delving deep into the mystery of the other race that was mentioned in Behold a Pale Horse.# The Angelic Race. Jesus died in Japan and there were two of them one named Xiontin who was born to the Virgin and Arrioc from The Planet Thiaoouba (A Level 9 Planet there only 3 in the entire cosmos, our Milky Way has one of them) . The covenant that God has with mankind is The Thiaoouba Prophecy. But most of ATS can't find the truth or accept it even when it is their own being and this play of consciousness is not real. #2 read the Thiaoouba Prophecy #3 read I am That. Why because you need to understand Kharma. even hunger is a slake of bad Kharma. And you have to understand finally that you are fully God and Fully Human. Full Stop.

Nicely written.

However, being a pharmacy student, I would like to point out a couple of things:

Cancer/tumor is usually caused by combination of many factors, including hereditary predisposition, the surrounding environment, the state of mind, metabolism, eating habits and ultimately, stress.

You simply CANNOT say that the cancer is either hereditary or caused by electromagnetic radiation.

We think we know a lot about medicine. Frankly, we ain't know that much ... and lots of times, the actual mechanism and factors which trigger the cancer process or "abnormal cell growth" is not fully understood.

Another thing is that genes are pretty tricky as well, some of them stay "silent" for generations.
We usually study up to 4 generations, including the subject.
As we accept the fact that we know very little or nothing about advanced genetics, then we have to assume there could be (and probably are) diseases or defects within our DNA that show up later on... say in every 10th generation or so.
To study that far in history of your family would be technically and practically - impossible.
I hope you got my point.

I am not saying you are not telling the truth. Your story seems legit and interesting. What I am saying is that tumors can show up unprecedentedly, all of sudden and without any reasonable cause (because we don't really - or actually - know what causes them, we are merely taking a guess)..... as well as they can show up to a very reasonable and specific things, such as a very strong and direct radiation of almost any kind.
Whether he was exposed to such radiation, we will never know.
It certainly is possible though.

Can you ask your grandma about more details on that night he was screaming... or maybe she can elaborate on further strange events that might have happened prior to this event, but she simply hadn't payed attention to it until the day she found him in the "maniacal state".

The last thing that went through my mind was that a tumor that large would require a decent (meaning long) time to grow. I mean fracturing the damn skull is not that easy.
Technically, as some #ing nasty tumors can grow relatively fast, it's possible, but my personal guess would be that the tumor has been growing for years and years.
Or he has encountered a type of extra-terrestrial "medicine" and "techniques" we do not possess.

If such diseases can be imposed by "the Greys" or whatever we call them?
I say - yes.

Cheers
NecRose.

Loosing a sibling is bad enough. With such circumstances as yours, the confusion, uncertainty and anxiety for the details leading up to your brothers passing obviously has left deep open wounds. Such emotional events may never close the hole in your heart, but I hope you and your family have help in dealing with the anxiety so it does not effect your ability to be happy.

Because, by account, there are so many species interacting besides the standard and historically present species, such events your brother went through can happen and not be out of the realm of the believable. People whom have encountered "non standard" beings have been injured or killed many times, and likely the numbers are an order of magnitude from what we have gathered in the many years since we started paying attention to the phenomena.

Many have gone missing but reports not recorded, killed or mutilated humans also have been recorded but not publicly announced for the fear it would bring to thousands that would be unwarranted, but many "encounters" with entities and their technology has resulted in injuries, including exposure to different forms of radiation resulting in burns and subsequent cancers, allergenic reactions that are so severe as to sometimes kill as well. So as far as I know, nothing in your story is out of range of what we know now, that is really not much. I'm sure some "agencies" of deep or branched government and corporate military have much more, if not direct information they will never bring public.

Many of the interacting species are exploring our biology and genome as well as behavior, but their agenda is on a wider or alternative spectra than our own. Ourselves being like small insects wondering at the nature of a big eye behind a magnifying glass. Some times a "death ray comes from the glass when a younger observer uses the magnifying glass to experiment with sunlight. But it is less common, and small insects have a vastly different if not simpler awareness and little ability to ask questions and wonder as we do. Likewise as above, so below.

If any description of your brothers experienced encounter is in the record, it might corroborate his experience with other such similar experiences on record. And also if no such similar record exists, placing that record and it's details with researchers whom apply to databases might find a match later. So any information, and it need not be public, will advance our understanding.

If a similar unfortunate occurrence and encounter happens in the future, we might have more information on the species and their technology that is involved. They may be a new group who's methods have yet to adjust for our biology. Or, they have no concern for the lifeforms they are looking at and find it easy to use their methods of research and technology despite short or long term effects to their subjects. But if we don't record the resulting information brought back for these people, whether an artifact of a psychosis or actual encounter, we will have nothing to go on at all. Each tragedy merely a story with no answers or conclusions.

Thank you for saying what you did. If you do have more information, I know where that would be valuable to record, and less public. What you don't need are more poking and prodding of your families lives, keeping the wound open and at least letting it be healed to a point you can go on with your lives and enjoy a future without the stress.

You just cleared away some of the darker areas of your memories by speaking about it, so you can forget it a bit, loosening your grip and not worry for the loss of your brothers and your families memories.

On another note, it has been a couple years since I was active on ATS. I am impressed at the lack of trolling this has attracted. I left for the unceasing badgering and complaining, debunk-bunk that ended up forcing admins to shut or close discussion. We lost some very important stories over the few years I was active for abductees and experiencers who had important information for the record. So it looks like ATS is evolving and effectively filtering out those who defend their disbelief with inappropriate interactions here. Kudos to the staff and admins for their diligence I seem to see the results from.

Once more thank you for the courage and conviction to help us understand and know about this.

You painted a picture. A Sad and upsetting picture. I hope you have healed, but the scars will forever be there. Keep that story in mind when you remember your brother. Remember him how you knew him - A sound, normal, guy. Your best friend.

As someone who deals with hypochondria on the regular, your story has freaked me out on various levels....

I'm sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing. It can't be easy revisiting such a traumatic time.

Thank you for sharing with us a very personal, tragic, heart-wrenching story. It took a lot of courage. Along with most of your readers, I have no reason to doubt you, and instead, offer my sincere condolences to you and your family.

I hope you are able to some day come to terms with your loss, and get some more definitive answers to the confirmations you seek. You certainly deserve such answers.

I applaud your bravery and your sensitivity. Yes, I agree there are unambiguous connections to the series of events that you describe and such connections are disturbing for their implications. I am very sad for you that you and your family were forced to endure such pain and anguish through no fault of your own.

An infinitesimal benefit, if I may be permitted to say so, is that your shedding light on the circumstances surrounding this depressing event may perhaps enlighten a few others that may have experienced something similar in the past, undergoing it in the present, or may be confronted with it in the future.

For that I thank you...

And I am very sorry for your loss...

Just throwing this out there... could his UFO story been a hallucination brought on by the illness?.. before it had been detected? Tumors can definitely cause vivid hallucinations depending on where they are located.

Hm, how about, If this cancer is only caused by radiation or hereditary, perhaps it's the abductions that run in the family giving rise to the appearence of a hereditary disease ?

You are the bravest soul I have come acrossed since I joined ATS this February. There are no words I can say or offer to you that will provide comfort to your pain. As stated repetitively and sincerely by those who have replied thus far, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I also know the very last thing you want is to relive that moment of awareness of your loss. I have experienced such loss and, many years later, still feel it hit me on the anniversary of my last living parent's death...my father. My father passed away 9 years ago April 11th at 12:16am of a heart attack. He died in Riverside, Ca...while in his sleep. He went quickly and peacefully, I was told. Why I mention this is not to shed light on myself and deflect from your very moving story, it is to pass along to you (with my deepest sympathies) that, if you are on Pacific time, you posted this story of love and loss on the anniversary of my father's passing and at the exact time he was... pronounced. I still can't even say the word.

I wish you find whatever it is you are searching for and hope you find comfort in the love your brother had for you and your love for him. It clearly and eloquently came shining through your sad, true story.

Blessings.

Hello Hyron. Im very sorry for your loss. Ive lost my mom recently and my two best friends as well, and understand your pain.

I see no mention of your dad. Was there a divorce just previous to your brother moving in with your grandmother? Was that your dads mom? Did your brother choose to live with her , due to a divorce that did not sit well with him, and he was granted that because of his age? Im asking for a specific reason. Something happened in my family and there were multiple witnesses to ......... visits by those who do not belong here. I suspect that uncle is your moms brother?
I hope my questions do not appear insensitive and nosey to you.
Best regards,
V

I've read all the posts and my question are..
1) if your brother believed in aliens before the age of 15.... Seen anything.. Influenced by a "crazy" uncle or.. In this case grandma?

2) Were there any blockbuster movies around prior to the age .. Like ET?..

Just trying to connect a possible reason that sort of specific hallucination may have occured in earlier times of the cancer.

I do believe in the abduction phenomena and there is a particular video I would dig up if you're interested.

Synopsis: A woman researched it for years and eventually dissapeared without a trace years later. Lotsa cases with some strong things to swallow but eye opening.

I couldn't imagine losing my brother in this way. I hope you are surrounded by the ones you love and are still here on the 30th.

It's come to my attention that a very high amount of questions regarding familial ties/relations are coming up in this thread. As much as I personally encourage curiosity and the will to dig deeper and explore, I'm afraid I won't be giving a response out to such things. I'm not taking offense by the curiosity that you share among each other, I just don't see it as necessary to answer them. Whether or not things had worked out between my father and the mother of my fallen brother is irrelevant. It wouldn't change anything. Being his brother, if it was never any of my business, I don't see why it should become any of yours.

Again, I'm not offended or angry with you. I simply fail to see a logical reason for revealing anything of that nature to you all. The habits/natures/beliefs/behaviors of my kin shouldn't be a concern. If you feel that it's absolutely essential to assisting me in finding the truth, then you should be more discreet about such a thing. If you feel that it could possibly change the future or have a large impact on my current investigation into this personal matter, drop me a private message.

---

On the subject of hallucinations, I firmly believe that a hallucination so vivid, so strong, wouldn't occur at such an early point of time. It doesn't seem feasible. Having had this theory for the last three years, I've looked deeply into such possibilities. If a hallucination was even feasibly possible at that point, then it would be considered. The reason that I don't find a hallucination to be feasible or possible is because they don't come instantly. We're talking about a catalyst. Not the level of exposure that would be provided by an atomic bomb. My brother didn't instantly have incredibly large, rare-form tumors in his brain immediately after this event. That wouldn't be physically possible. If there was enough radiation in the area to bring about such a strong form of cancer immediately (with tumors large enough to crack a skull, mind you), my brother would've died a long time ago, perhaps even a moment later. Actually, with that being said, the other members of my grandmother's household would have also contracted some radiation-based illness to that very same degree. If that was the case, they'd all be dead. Along with that, I would think that someone, if not multiple people, would have noticed bizarre, erratic behavior associated with hallucinations and other schizotypal disorders. Things like that are obvious.
