KAsvetli (3rd video) sounds so much like Joy Division/early New Order. The bass & vocals, great sound!

Freaky weather! A super cold spell. A tonne of snow. Another cold spell then more snow (.75 m in 24 hours!). Now they are saying it is supposed to rain tomorrow!and be 4.5 C! What? It has been the strangest 2 weeks ever!

Baddogma, LOL! Yeah, it can be read that way (p-a) but I was chuckling as I wrote it so I think I was going for a gentle rib poke and not a full on kidney punch! Sorry!

Speaking of 90s bands... my iPod's hard drive magically fixed itself (that or draining all the battery might have fixed it) so I have been listening to The Vault (my ipod's name). And being so creative, I started alphabetically. I am in the 'C's right now (Cult, Cure, Cranberry's, Concrete Blonde, etc). And here is one I kind of have nae heard in a while...

CIV - Can't Wait One Minute More

The rest of the album is pretty enjoyable too! They came out the Gorilla Biscuits and Youth of Today. Funny that people call them "hard core" which is what they called the DKs. I just call it music and get on with my day.

PS - Love the witty repartee with music!! And a big, "hell's ya!" to Veruca Salt (and L7)! I might have to start skipping around in The Vault now... (oohhh! Good bad name! "Skipping Around in The Vault" prolly more shoe gazer emo than hardcore)

edit on 25-1-2017 by TEOTWAWKIAIFF because: wrong song name, d'oh!

The old series Boon is being repeated on TV over here and this is the theme song.

Circa 1986. Catchy.

The C's from the 90's ... pretty good letter.. .add Camper Van Beethoven as another "c" word.

And no worries TEOT, our love is eternal ; )

90's girly pop is always welcome.

Have you seen Trainspotting 2 yet? Jeezo, it makes you feel old. The nostalgia is excruciating, but it's pretty funny too.
This song shouldn't rightly be here, since I reckon everyone knows and loves it, but one more play won't hurt.

That and the English Beat I just love.

Even Pete Townsend's version of "Save it for later" kills! If you have not heard it check it out! And it is this decade!!

Pearl Jam - The Kids Are Alright

And their version of Baba O'Riley is pretty good too! From the same show. The had just gotten of tour with The Who and did a mini tribute thing.

Didn't know it. Didn't love it. Now I do. ;o) wonderfully gritty, like stubbing out a burning ember with your bare feet . Good stuff.

I dunno ... PJ always struck me as a mash up ... like Chrissie Hine gets slipped pixie dust and acid and listens to the sounds of a growing ectopic fetus in an easy bake oven... not that that's a bad thing.

Another crappy Valentines' Day wish to all the usual detritus... I'm gonna get my traditional Swanson Fried Chicken TV dinner out to celebrate.

Can one try to be a curmudgeon and actually BE a curmudgeon?

This is likely a repeat, too ... but it's been awhile... BHS- K wordz
