Humanists & atheists lack empathy, sympathy, & morals in general. Helping others isn't even in their nature.

Look, I can spew senseless drivel also!

that's nice and all... they just don't seem to remember where they got this decency humm.

The Ten Commandments of Solon (founder of Athenian democracy) 636 BC
1. Trust good character more than promises.
2. Do not speak falsely.
3. Do good things.
4. Do not be hasty in making friends, but do not abandon them once made.
5. Learn to obey before you command.
6. When giving advice, do not recommend what is most pleasing, but what is most useful.
7. Make reason your supreme commander.
8. Do not associate with people who do bad things.
9. Honor the gods.
10. Have regard for your parents.

religion is NOT necessary for morality. Unless, of course, you're religious, then I guess you all would go on murderous rages, raping and pillaging and all, without some sort of god telling you not to.

It's funny you think that info matters or has anything to do with anything. Humanity is corrupt & broken, & I blame humans.

well that's just the problem see...

you are going to have a very hard time propagating any other system or what will be perceived as a religion (eg; Humanist) in any of those light blue areas.

like China for instance... China executes over 5000 dissidents a year.

good luck

huh?

I live in a civil environment... I am quite content with my political structure and I have faith in democracy.

nothing is broken, all is as it should be, it is designed to keep going and going and going,

like the energizer bunny.

Jesus said it best "Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and it is outside you."
-Gospel of Thomas

Atheists agree with Jesus more than they like or know.

no I do not agree...

there are 'Just' (I always seem to be using that word) organized religions worldwide, the ones whose common cause has deep philosophical value of truth, justice and equality can coexist with no problems. It also provides diversity.

I believe religious institutions should not be heads of state for any nation.

My forefathers religion and ideology founded my nation, and I know we all think our nation is the best (patriotism)

I know I can go to any nation that is secular and look to the government in hopes of unbiased judgement.

We in my nation allow all religions equally, but if one raises it ugly head in unjust actions it must be adjusted or eliminated (banned)

I support freedom of religion as long as it does not infringe on others rights.

I don't know what nation you claim is your's, but here in the USA Christianity, nor any Abrahamic religion has anything to do with the way our constitution was written or our the way our laws are enforced. In fact our secular government is antithetical to any religious philosophy. We area democratic republic which religion is definitely not. Religion has no place in our government, never has and never will.

Our laws allow us to break the laws of religion with impunity. This is not so in countries where religion and government aren't separate. If we want to move forward, and be a "progressive" society, we'll drop the superstitions of religions that are keeping us down and backwards.

Most people are sheep and will be led; they want to be led. If organized religion goes, something will step in to take its place. That said, i'm not a fan of organized religion.

Don't be too sure. Heaven and Earth pass away at the end of every astrological age, and are born again into a new age. Some astrologers say we passed from Pisces to Aquarius in 2012. I say we passed in 2010, during the winter solstice lunar eclipse.

Hmmmm.

If I remember correctly, Aleister Crowley said that "The Age" began in 1917. He also claimed that this age, this New Age of Aquarius, would herald the reign of the "One Eyed God" and that gender models and sexual identity would harmonize and blend together.
