Beards are seen as a sign of manhood in many Middle Eastern countries, and the Wahhabi see trimming it or maintaining it in any way a sin. It's not the same everywhere though, and from what I've read some don't put any importance on beards.

Liberals are what is happening to our liberal society - liberal and progressive intolerance

Since liberals, socialists and progressives have started the crusade against "politically incorrect" speech and started forcing people out of jobs, etc for saying certain words or expressing certain thoughts
intolerance has been growing and growing

The more you say
"you can't say ........." or else
the more other people join in on the intolerance

Our current liberal/progressive insistence on not saying anything to offend anyone at any time or doing anything to offend anyone at anytime has led to the deepest and ugliest sort of intolerance since the dark ages.

For heavens sake we are now trying to put bakers in jail for not wanting to bake certain types of cake, all in the name of tolerance
How intolerant is that, especially when there are other options
like going to another baker
or even protesting
rather than taking them to court

The new liberalism/progressiveism espoused by the Democratic party in particular
is starting to look like a new form of inquisition
Believe as we do .... or else.... suffer the consequences...which become more dire by the day

That sort of rhetoric around the media and around the world
has led to everyone hunkering down and being more intolerant than ever.
All because the liberals and progressives insist that being offended be turned into a crime,
and be viewed as not acceptable and punishable.

The new liberal society has taught it's members to be easily offended
and to take action when offended,
and people who are offended are doing just that
in more and more ludicrous ways

Tolerance is not a one way street, you're either tolerant, or you are not. That means you not only have to listen to, but accept anybody's differing point of view as being THEIRS. It in no way means you must silence anyone who speaks their mind. Yes, this means bigots, and idiots too. You have to take the bad with the good.

It's called people of certain faiths with no prospects of life (which can be equated to chavs in the UK) tend to take a separatist approach to society. Living in a multi-national country promoting integration, when certain splinter groups of people want to create their own society within that.. and this does not ring any alarm bells for separatists working against society?

Why would he refuse to identify his assailants, claiming it would only add fuel to the fire? What fire to you suppose he was referring to? I suspect it to be the raging fire of anti-Islamic sentiment which is growing daily. If these sensationalist news outlets are trying to fuel these flames, they're definitely succeeding. I won't call you anything...but I will explain something. Any anti-muslim sentiments that exist are based upon and rooted in their actions. Not their free speech, not their religious beliefs, but their actions. Their actions often if not always are violent. Stone a woman, behead a man, bomb a bus. They are intolerant people who demand not only tolerance for themselves but want ONLY tolerance for themselves. No other person or religion has any value to them.

This is much like the race issues in the US. When people treat black people as a potential danger, it is not because of how they were raised...it is not because they had racist parents or teachers, it is because they have life experience and the fact is, the black community commits more violent crime than the white community based upon percentage of people. These are FACTS and this applies to the muslims also. When a FACT is stated...it is not racism. When any group, race, religion, etc. is violent or dangerous...they WILL be pointed out and avoided.

In my opinion, the muslim kids who assaulted this man committed an act of terrorism. Why? The man is afraid to state who they are because he doesn't want to be attacked again. Violence to shut someone up is terrorism.

Mind you I am a Christian, so I am not gonna play the part of a Muslim Apologist, but what would everyone say if they found out the wall he painted all that on was on the side of a Mosque?
