Ok so here is a good thread to post up pictures of your gourmet meals for dinner or just describe it....

What are you having for dinner?

(I'll post up mine when it comes out of the oven!)

First I sauteed up a full chicken breast and cut it into small pieces.
Then I mixed the chicken into a box of au-gratin potatoes and cooked them.
Halfway through I topped the au-gratin chicken mix with frozen broccoli .

Voila - Chicken and Potatoes au Gratin with Roasted Broccoli.

Um...

What am I eating for dinner?

I eat only once in a day - I certainly eat no "dinners"...

But yours looks amazing nonetheless! Good job mate.

Tomorrow we're making Ina Garten's Sphaghetti and meatballs. Instead of ground lamb, we use ground pork, but that's about the only change. Oh, we do add a big container of fresh baby ports.

Actually I have no idea. Company holiday party (we always do it after the holidays) is tonight and I don't have a clue as to what is on the menu.

Last night I made fried cod with hushpuppies and French fries. My nephew caught the cod. The kids loved it.

That looks yummy, though I'm not a huge fan of broccoli. I would either use less broccoli or choose another veggie to add. Good idea though!

Not quite "gourmet" but grilled ham does wonders on a cold winter night

I know y'all are going to think me evil, but here goes. I fried up some potatoes that I had cut up earlier in the month and put in my freezer. Added some onions from the freezer batch as well. Added leftover diced roast chicken, to make a country hash, if you will, and for dessert, Peanut Butter Pop Tarts. It tastes like a giant peanut butter cookie when warmed in the Microwave for 15 seconds, or toaster on low. Normally I eat better, but it was left over night. Tomorrow I finish up my chicken shrimp parmesan I ordered the other night. I put that place on speed dial on my phone! Good stuff!

Tomorrow we're having brisket burgers......ground at out butcher from a beef brisket.
They are the best kind of burgers around.

Done in a frying pan, with salt and pepper.
Top with your favorite cheese.
And sliced green olives before serving....or sauteed onions.
No bun for these.....we make more of a Patty Melt and use rye bread instead of boring buns.

I'll be making breakfast for dinner tonight...

Bacon, fried deer sausage, pan fried spuds, eggs over easy, rye bread toast, sliced tomatoes, and a dollop of baked beans on the side (leftover from last night's din din).

Tonight, cold as it was, was a good time to put something in the oven.
So, Classic Meatloaf, with ketchup, of course......with buttered broccoli and "everything" bread-sticks.
