What would a modern vampire be like?

A modern vampire just like the ancient vampire hates light, it will destroy him or her, a vampire has no self reflection, a vampire feeds himself with blood (energy) of others.
They live in towers of their own making, their realm is darkness.
But don't worry, a vampire does not bite you like you see in the movies.
But yes, their immense power can be irresistible, so be wary.
They have the power to transform others who are weak into vampires, sometime even strong persons, but those who cast light are avoided because they will surely kill him or her.

Their are "vampire" cults that are really just blood fetishists. The leaders will lace their blood with heroin so the new recruits think they are getting the power from the more senior "vampires". If you have come in contact with a group like this, you should leave ASAP.

Real vampires, the ones that are meant to be immortal appear in most cultures folklore, but does this actually mean they exist?? Personally I have doubts they do.

If you have been exchanging blood or blood products with someone, then you should immediately go and get a test for any blood borne diseases. HIV, the Hepititis family, all that. Living forever might seem like a good idea, but living forever with Hep C is going to be no fun at all.

Could you elaborate rather heavily?

I don't believe in the existance of vampires, but I believe in the archetype and I imagine that some type of entity could very well either behave or choose to behave like a classical fictional vampire.

What in particular is it that makes you think he may be a vampire? He bit you, did he draw blood?

Was there anything peculiar about him? Did he seem supernatural in any way or did something supernatural happen?

Do you practice magic? Magic can have all sorts of effects. You do look like a witchy woman.

He's not a vampire, he's a complete bastard and a total arse.
Get yourself to the doctors and ask for your tetanus and hepatitis boosters. In fact, let the doctor make that call, but let him/her know that this cretin bit you.

And agreed, what Night Star said. Report this to the police.
Hope you're doing ok, TBS x

I'm so sorry... Nobody should have to experience that. If you know the person, I would notify the police immediately and give them his name/address/anything you can. If you don't know him, still notify the police and try to give the best physical description you can remember. Where you were when you were drugged, etc.

Most of all, remember that it's not your fault this happened. Stay warm and safe, seek out family or friends for support. I'll be thinking of you. Best wishes.

You could ask the mods to remove the thread if you feel its compromising to you, they can be quite helpful sometimes.

Sending some positive energy your way.

How do I know if I've been bitten by a someone who might be a real vampire?
What are the symptoms of being a vampire?
How do I know if they were a vampire?

I'm scared #less.

They don't exist, so you don't have to worry about that.

However, If you were bitten by a person who likes to bite people, you may want to be tested for hepatitis, HIV, etc.

Well some people are into feeding on each other literaly, I think the vampire craze is becoming popular in come communities. In the video we see a couple who take joy in drinking each others blood, which I think may be kinf of a vampire trait. So I am wondering if the OP is having cravings for drinking human blood?
