In generalization, yes there are similarities, but the devil is in the details!

The hypocrisy is in your mind.

No Republican ever said wage inequality is 'good' or that it made them rich.

Just you.

Job creation lessens that inequality. Supply and demand kicks in and wages go up. Obama is giving millions a free ticket to work in this country-a fact you and your ilk ignore- and is actually offering 3,000 dollars per 'illegal' (Obama made legal) immigrants hired to employers. This ensures those that ARE legal or born in the U.S. are now relegated to 2nd class/priority for employment.

They might even fire hired workers to hire these 'new' workers to collect that money!

This isn't merely hypocrisy, it's psychotic.

Yep the devil sure is in the details.

I have had enough of the richaphobes arguing over fiat currency.

Something the government created.

As Voltaire said.

Absurd.

Maybe, just maybe
the GOP are finally getting their head's outta their ass. They don't have the luxury of writing off and discriminating whole sections of Americans any more (minorities, the elderly, women, gays, the poor etc...).

It's nice to see some 21st century Republican politicians with compassion, better known from their contemporaries as "RINOs".

Income inequality eh.

I wonder what Voltaire has to say on this.

After all he was one of the founders of 'liberalism'.

In general, the art of government consists of taking as much money as possible from one class of citizens to give to another. Voltaire

Voltaire

The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal. Aristotle

Aristotle

Funny thing there.

There has always been 'inequality' between jobs. Thus income will always be different.

Different work. Different pay.

Throw in fiat currency for the fait du accompli

Which brings us back to Voltaire.

Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Voltaire

There is no greater absurdity than American politics.

I truly dislike when people excuse things because "it's always been this way".

It's so unimaginative and defeatist that it makes me fear for the future.

Which is weird because they really need that silent majority vote in 2 years. Politicians make me sick, Democrats included.

Two party system in the biggest democracy in the world

You sound like a guy desperate to protect his wallet while the less fortunate suffer.

Most people who are too wealthy inherit their wealth. Dig deep enough into their family tree, and you will find a thief.

I see no problem with the Republican party (or even just individuals within the party) taking reasonable positions on issues, I suspect most people don't.

That is what 'income inequality' is.

Unimaginative, and defeatist.

Really hiding behind government, and just voting themselves money, and things.

I weep for the future.

The future of mediocrity.

And to repeat over something GOVERNMENT created in the first place.

FIAT CURRENCY.

Bull snip

The US government could give every man, woman, and child 1 million bucks.

Within 1 week to 1 month 99% would be broke again.

Trying to protect that thing called LIBERTY.

Not selectively enforce it over fiat currency.

Dunno why some people are IGNORING that.

Guess their BIGOTRY of the rich just' blinds them too much.

This is funny.

Dems pissed off they can't continue to play the class warfare card.

That pretty much leaves them with no card to play.

Ya, those Republicans are such a breath of fresh air.

Income 'inequality' is the deception.

Because it does NOT factor in ss,medicare, unemployment, and worksmans comp.

That is ALL employee compensation.

Also called INCOME.

Modern employees have more benefits than EVER.

Those benefits are $$.

Modern employees....nearly half mind you....can't even earn enough in a 40 hour work week to feed themselves.

Income inequality isn't about everyone making the same.

It is about some having millions of times more than the workers that are producing all the profits and not benefiting.

Nobody thinks Walmart workers should make as much as the Walton family......the Walton family makes more than enough to pay their employees way better and still make plenty of profits though.

That is the problem.

Tax payers have to feed their workers because they ate so unimaginably greedy they wont do the right thing and pay their workers enough to live on.

Notice I didn't say live in luxury, I said live.

Without welfare an average Walmart employee would be homeless and starve to death.

This is a reality.

All the while the Walton's keep stacking billions more they can't even use and obviously don't need.

Don't give me the they can get another job be.....there agent other jobs....most jobs are in this pay scale.

I suppose half the work force can stop working and starve until wages rise.....oh thats right, they would just bring in even more illegals.

So they could just starve then.

Something is better than nothing, even if it is not enough, it is better than nothing....so they work for starvation wages, and can't even be consumers in a consumer economy.

These folks are in limbo....they can't even participate.

They can barely even survive.

Sadly I see this as pandering for votes and not because they have been a major part in creating a problem that needs to be dealt with.

I think your user name and the avatar's you have used gave away the fact you are a Neo Conservative, but the when one reads your comments there is little room for doubt.

That was GD hilarious.

Care to stick to the topic instead of posters ?

Thought it was damn clear I don't believe in the bullsnip of 'income inequality'.

Same GD snip out of the communist manifesto just repackaged for the 'new' generation.

The reason they are noticing is because the super rich are taking their money out of the country creating a problem. The Republicans finally wised up and are seeing reality. They aren't getting any tax money from the major part of the money out there, it is not creating many jobs here anymore.

It might be a little late but it is better late than never.

You're giving them far too much credit. They are not the least bit concerned with income inequality, in fact, it is an essential element of their agenda. They are simply doing what they do best, lying to gain political advantage.

Neo, both parties are a part of the problem and I see no hope that they will suddenly try to fix it. The corps have spent a long time and lots on money making our political system work for their interests and will not stand for changes that will help the average citizen of the US of A.
