My spring feeds stream that runs in bottom of valley. The stream falls about 3' to 6' feet in some areas. Also not hard to make 4' dam in narrows. The
spring flow even in drought.
I am considering installing ram pump to feed pond 110' up on top of Ridgeline near house.
The ram pump does about 4 gpm 24/7/365 using hydraulic pressure of upstream water.
That's 2.1 million gallons a year.
I want to take same 4 gpm and send back down steepest part of slope and spin 1 KW generator using high head pressure stream produced and charge a
battery bank, then convert to A/C and feed house.
Not very hard project to do with equipment I have available.
What do you all think? Anyone done anything similar?
