He's plotting to see how much more he can suck the souls out of the American taxpayers.

Or the security detail requirements were too high and the Secret Service nixed the idea. Like it or not, there is a large radical Islam component active in France that isn't present in other European nations like Germany or England. Maybe the police and security forces in France doubled down to protect all the visiting heads of states, and maybe there wasn't enough time to coordinate with them for a feel-good rally. Washington is hosting a summit in the next month of terrorism that will provide far more effective then this.

He felt that he would be viewed as being anti-Muslim if he went. He wants to be known as a friend to all Muslims, even the extreme fundamentalists.

Vote of no confidence in the security detail of France, it has to be unsettling that terrorists actually escaped after murdering so many in broad daylight, you have to believe they were still trying to figure that one out and whether or not there might be another attack laying in wait.

The question more fitting is did he get an invitation to begin with ? no high level statesmen even went, so you have to think it has to do with the skepticism of the security climate and unknowns.

That's all I think!

And maybe, just maybe the threat is way overblown.

I don't go for that at all...

Obama has no passion for fighting these barbarians.

He's a lame duck and now only does things he likes and believes in.

Its not a fun thing to do fighting a band of zombie religious nuts

Obama should have never run for president he doesnt have the intestinal fortitude.

He worries about the safety of his cherry marines not the country

Obama is in a giant quagmire filled with cognitive dissonance.

His advisory staff can't react this fast (although I think Susan Rice will make a statement Monday).

The Administration has painted themselves into a corner.

Now they have to watch it dry.
