That's "the progressive movement for you". Progressives are people from many political parties who essentially are working for the goal of a One World Government. Since the start of the Progressive movement there have been people who were "supposed" to be from both sides of the main political parties in the U.S. but all share the same vision for a One World Government in which they want to control every aspect of people's lives. Taxes is a good way to control people, and of course make the rich globalists even richer, and more and more taxes are being introduced as these globalists are working hard to redistribute the wealth of Americans and convert the U.S. into a third world nation with the excuse that "it will help 3rd world nations" and "to combat climate change", when in fact the only ones that these policies helps are the globalists themselves.

I have been saying for a while that "cap and trade" is nothing more than an inverse energy market.

price of oil goes down, cap and trade fee goes up
oil goes up, cap and trade fee goes down.

If this goes nationwide and its gets coupled with energy derivatives, consumer will be screwed.

You only have to look at the ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) that trades energy in a black box and look at what these people own.prices. en.wikipedia.org... As you can see in the link, the bankster and big energy own the unregulated Atlanta based ICE market that trades energy and they own the climate exchange. These people are going to play both sides to our demise and all of these markets that they own will work in unison to ratchet (or racket) up prices.

California, it seems did not learn anything from the ENRON energy scam and basically bankrupted the state. I'd watch for a push from the progressives in congress who will push through cap and trade to line their pockets and the pockets of their benefactors.

As soon as the Saudi's cut production, and that will happen the prices are going to go back up. The fact of the matter is that due to fuel prices we've had a freeze on the gas tax for a decade or more all while inflation has devalued those taxes and MPG has decreased the amount of fuel we're purchasing. Increasing the tax needs to happen, and now is a good time to do it.

Most people don't like taxes, but I think we would like to have proper roads and that's what the gas tax provides.

And to think your country was founded over a war because my country taxed you abit
