Obamacare is more then likely a symptom of the virus so I doubt they'd be able to treat it

A candidate for the biblical plagues and no one panicking about it? How are the immune/uninfected going to explain this to the infected: "Hey we did a research the other day, nothing big but there was a minor part about a virus which lowers one's IQ, nothing to worry about. What do you think?".

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Just a side note; "Algae Virus" is a great name for a band.

Seriously, though...since the virus has always been present in humans...and only the genes which make us susceptible to it switch on at various times to certain people...this could account for periods in human history where mankind has seemed to regress in achievement, enlightenment and intelligence...such as 'The Dark Ages'...or The Obama Administration.

I often tell people, even a couple times here at ATS, that idiocy is the vasted disease known to man...
& the most under-treated.

A healthy dose of encyclopaedia, scripture, & scholarly works should be prescribed!

Scripture probably isn't the best idea for ones without their wits about them. Probably how we end up with so much misinterpretation and misunderstandings.

I'm wondering if all the talk about chlorinated and fluoridated water that we drink might have a connection here. Maybe this virus is immune to such chemicals and is the actual cause of the "dumbing down" of people in the "Modern" world.

Or maybe they increase its effects.

I knew a bit about this algae before, having read about it not long ago.

I immediately go to two films when I hear about this stuff: Idiocracy and The Stupids.

Oh Idiocracy. You're a cautionary tale for consumerist culture.

Like I have said before, politicians have a disability. Now we have evidence it may be created by a virus.
