Sorry for the language, it's in the article.

This is a Satire site someone sent to me and I died laughing.

What a[..]hole doctors and nurses don’t know is that the rest of us don’t give a s[..] about their science. We don’t even want you creating a the appearance of Ebola, or the panic and social cost that surrounds it. It’s not irrational to overreact to a virus that makes you shoot diarrhea out of your eye sockets until you die. It is completely selfish not to accept a 21-day quarantine after sticking your hands into Ebola patients in West Africa. Buy some Harry Potter books, get a decent cable package, and shut the f[..] up for three weeks. A[..]hole.

The rest of the site isn't very interesting.

No kidding.

Personally, if I was made aware that a medical professional had a history of not abiding quarantines, I certainly wouldn't trust that medical professional to treat me or my family, and I would hold the establishment that would keep such people under their employ suspect.

I was wondering what could explain their seeming uncaring behavior of flying around and going on cruise lines. The one nurse said she "wasn't going to follow the guidelines".

How caring is that?

She went to fight the epidemic you're all terrified of. Punish her!!!

She's more caring than average Joe the Plumber American. Keep begging for the police state.

"Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

That's a stretch. It's actually an embarrassing reach.

A month of home isolation is now comparable to being killed by Nazis?

That doesn't seem at all disingenuous to you?

Lol. It's a piece of the puzzle. Nazi's didn't take power overnight. Patriot act was the start. Now police brutality and blatant disregard for the constitution are incredibly common. We are propagandized and surveiled constantly. Sorry if you can't see the big picture.

We are practically fascist already. The average American will only defend themselves and their group. We throw everyone else under the bus. So no, I'm not being disingenuous.

My sentiments exactly. It's like they feel as though they are superior because they are "saving lives" and sh*t. Just because my job doesn't involve people who are bleeding make me as a human being any less important.

I wonder how many of her friends have distanced themselves from her. She's not getting too much support from across the country for being so careless and uncooperative. I don't wish that she should come down with the virus, but if she does before the quarantine is up, there's going to be a lot of anger directed at her the CDC and the president.

Quarantine isn't "punishment", its a safety measure. I wonder how many people she denied movement over there? Then she comes back and insists she's clean. Maybe she is. Okay. We'll see.

Does she even adhere to her own principles or is she above them somehow?

I can tell you from personal experience that most people in the medical field are not qualified mentally to perform the task.

Many of them are easily flustered and quick to anger against patients they view as undesirable or stupid.

Over there has thousands of cases and a nation lacking in infrastructure and surveillance.

I thought America could handle it?

If she gets Ebola she's a problem. Until then let her enjoy the sweet air of freedom. Or is America not about freedom anymore?

21 days is all too much to ask of one person, to guarantee everyones safety?

I would submit if I came from there. Why the hell wouldn't I?

Like, if your kids have colds do you send them to school anyway?

Why wouldn't you? Because you just came back from doing your nations dirty work and you get ambushed upon your return and treated like a terrorist.

If I had a kid I would. A cold is pathetic. Kids need to build up their immune systems. Security at the cost of freedom should be unacceptable IMO. In actual situations that warrant it sure but again she doesn't have Ebola. She isn't covered in west African vomit or blood. Just leave her be. When she or the guy in NYC are shown to have infected other random people then crackdown on it as hard as you want. So far the only person infected in America was a nurse treating a patient in America.

It's just like the TSA. They have done nothing but make regular people's lives harder with no real increase in safety. It's all about the appearance of safety. So if you think she should be locked up for 21 days just to make people feel safe and sound go for it. I would sure be mad if it was me.

"terrorists' get droned with hell fire missiles.

Calm down this is not a terror alert.

The war on terror is contrived. Ebola isn't.

Because Ebola is ravaging America? It's totally real. A whopping one American has died. Guess we should mandate quarantines for people with the flu. The flu is far more deadly than Ebola in America.

She came off as really obnoxious to me too. When she took her bike ride you could tell she was loving the attention but still came out snide. Shes not a freedom fighter, 21 days in front of a tv or on an exercise bike whichever - its not the brazen bull.

Nurses these days don't nurse because they care. They nurse because it's a good paycheck. Open your eyes.

Man is not an inherently benevolent creature.

Actually altruism is inherent. We wouldn't cooperate if it wasn't viable from an evolutionary standpoint. Don't buy into the humans are inherently selfish propaganda.

It's not propaganda. I spent my career observing human beings. We are NOT benevolent creatures.

Really? So we built our society through selfishness alone and have never worked together?
