I grew up in the Mormon Church as a kid and got out as an adult, but I don't recall the doctrine of blood atonement.

"The doctrine of Blood Atonement states that there are sins that the Atonement of Jesus Christ does not cover."

Interesting concept though, think I'll look in to that one.

Always keep in mind that cults ALWAYS have to keep things secret...

This is the only way they can keep the facade in place and prevent the people from learning the truth about what is really going on.

Cults always have a hidden agenda.

A little creative searching will help you get some answers...

The author of this exceptionally clear & thoroughly documented book is an active, fourth-generation Mormon, a 34-year professional historian and Mormon-studies director at college-level religious institutes."

"The foundation events were rewritten by Joseph [Smith] and Oliver [Cowdery] and other early church officials .... This reworking made the stories more useful for missionary work and fellowshipping purposes. ... Is it right to tell religious allegories to adults as if they were literal history?" In short, this book recommends that practicing Mormons regard their foundation stories as inspirational fictions rather than as truthful history.

Interesting.. wonder if one of the parents prepared a meal with something extra intending a murder suicide?
Someone else pipe gas into the room? I don't know.. just bizarre.

You should make a new thread on that jumping jack jack hypothesis. One of the most realistic plausible and frightening pieces of doom porn I've ever read, especially since I remember numerous stories of sudden mysteries mass die offs of fish in the last year or two.

Dollars to donuts that the real cause of death never sees the light of day...

From an earlier post on page 1:

Evidence that Hofmann had killed two people was overwhelming, but the entire legal system began rapidly to lose interest in prosecuting him when it became known that the Mormon Church wanted no part of the publicity that would be generated by all of the disclosures coming out in a trial. Gordon B. Hinckley, then not yet the head of the Mormon Church, simply told the lead detective he was not interested in testifying about his involvement in purchasing documents from Mark Hofmann, and he eventually got away with it! As intriguing as Mark Hofmann's tortured plots are, the glimpses into the Mormon Church and its influence over the media and the legal system in Salt Lake City are equally fascinating.

yeah, certainly sounds like a family suicide of some sort.

Maybe it was consensual, or considering the movie watching aspect, an act of one family member who wanted to commit to suicide and take his or her family with him or her.

sad sad times.

Bottom line, I don't think this was any accident. Someone used something to kill them.
by god you're right, sherlock. we should investigate - in 6-8 weeks when toxicology comes in.

LOL why does toxicology take so long? seems archaic.

There's more about the family here

Couldn't the get text to copy, the page was acting up.

Said they hsd money problems, the dad hadn't shown up for work in two weeks. The couple had some forgery charges in 2008. Seems they have trouble paying their rent.

I concur with you on your points Murgatroid.

I knew that there were temple level rituals that were related to Masonic ones as well as special garments, handshakes, etc., a bunch of different traditions blended together, essentially the typical M.O. of any false prophet creating a cult.

Finally got out of it after getting old enough to research and question it all. I did like their family orientation and prepper attitude I must admit.

Okay, so was the TV on when the Matriarch and Older son came back? What type of Large Screen TV was it, and did they have Cats that may have peed on the TV. Can Ammonia Gas from cat pee kill? Just shooting from the hip here.

Also, as other mentioned it could be poison from the drinks. Or, it could be electromagnetic sensitivity from the power meter by the window/wall/close to the master bedroom.
I don't think it was a murder suicide or they would have encouraged the Oldest Son to stay, unless he is the killer.

How old is the Home? Could there be some old asbestos, lead, or other dangerous chemical used in the house construction that, on this night, ramped up contamination? Perhaps the son subconsciously detected something out of the norm and got away to find normality?

Questions questions, many unanswered questions.

Oh what a load of absolute TRIPE.

Sorry...but ridiculous, really. Why, when there's a hint of "Mormon" do people lose all objectivity??

Don't know these folks...my heart aches for them...but there's a good possibility they are LDS. But they might as well be Baptists or Methodists or Episcopalians.......their religious beliefs have nothing whatsoever to do with this. Believe it or not, Mormons are people - some are ordinary, some are extraordinary...all of them trying to live their lives the best they can, just like the rest of society - but they're people not freaks. Please put your lunatic fringe assumptions back in your ditty bag.

“Hypocrites get offended by the truth.” ~ Jess C. Scott

A tell-tale sign that something may not be right...

Wherever Jesus went, he offended the religious people.

Jesus may have actually offended more people than any man who ever lived on the face of the earth.

Why?

Because of religious lies.

Countless families and lives have been destroyed by the Mormon 'Church'.

Saying that their religious beliefs have nothing to do with this only confirms that the vast majority are in a state of perpetual denial and cognitive dissonance.

The Stracks and three of their children are now dead possibly because of a pseudo-Christian religion masquerading as the truth.

Denial and hate isn't going to change reality, only truth and love can do that.

Joseph Smith was one of the best con man that ever lived.

Please show me where you're getting your evidence that these poor people are dead because of their religion.

And you're talking to one of "them" so you're offending the heck out of me with your whacko accusations. What's interesting is that former members of the LDS Church are almost rabid in their hatred of the church. I never get that from former members of other faiths who have decamped. I wonder why that is? What evilness is stirring them up to such hatred? I just don't get it.

If you find you no longer agree with the tenets of a particular faith, then by all means leave. Why the obsessive need to persecute those who remain? The fact is that Mormons, on the whole, are thirfty, hard-working, compassionate members of society who believe in family and service to others. They are good neighbors, they contribute to their communities, they perform world-wide humanitarian service and they love God. Please explain how a religion that promotes family and wholesome values has "destroyed" so many people.

Like I said......absolute TRIPE.

The LDS church is not a cult.

There are not murders like your videos suggest, due to LDS members committing certain sins.

There is no secret conspiracy, there is no evil boss behind a curtain.

It was either a murder suicide, or due to gases being released in the home.

You know what they say about if the shoe fits...

If I were trying to persecute someone, I would be calling YOU a lunatic and calling YOUR beliefs fringe assumptions.

WHO is the one using the derogatory language here (lunatic, fringe assumptions, TRIPE, whacko accusations)...

Do you honestly believe that I would post all this stuff if I didn't actually believe it 100%?

Here is the bottom line: I hate lies, but I LOVE people...

When you love someone, you share the TRUTH with them whether they want to hear it or not.

Religion IS lies, PERIOD...

The fruit that it bears is hate, death, and lies.

If you need evidence of this, check your mirror.

There are only TWO religious systems in the world.

Satan controls one.

The other owes its allegiance only to the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Every major religion in the world has been manufactured or infiltrated by the Illuminati to enslave and brainwash society. In essence, religion was the first form of mind control. The indoctrination of the masses by a "Trojan Horse" false religion has allowed the Illuminati to take control and work in secret for many, many years." Link

"Today the religions of the world remain a major tool of the Illuminati agenda. Link

What if I were to tell you, that there is a vast Satanic conspiracy to deceive the masses of every society on earth? What if I were to tell you that the top leaders of the world’s religions were in league with the Devil? Would you think I’m crazy? I would! Yet, the truth is stranger than fiction! You have been lied to my friend. Few people in the world today are aware of just how much Satan has infiltrated organized religion. Link

Oh I believe you believe it 100%. And I'm so sad for you.

Since I did label your post "whacko accusations," I do most sincerely apologize. Let me re-phrase...

You are offending the heck out of ME with your cherished beliefs and baseless accusations. Is that better??

And I did NOT label YOU a persecutor...I was making a generalization toward certain individuals who seem bent on persecuting their former co-members.

And I stand by my assertion that speculating that the deaths of these poor people are because of their religion is beyond the pale (is that better, also, than lunatic?). Tripe is tripe...you don't have to smell it to recognize it. (And I don't apologize for that.)

The controllers use religion like they use everything else I agree. But I can imagine there is still true, pure spiritual information to be found. We just have to pick through the distorted beliefs and the disinfo.

As a Christian (and I use that in a loose, liberal, personal experience religious way) I realize how the Vatican is run by what it claims to oppose. If it was truly representing beliefs of love and acceptance, it would never have allowed genocide, murder, child abuse, corruption, etc.

And every religion is "infiltrated", it's all a big deception. And I think the concept of the Illuminati (the ultra rich, Rockefellers, etc) is a distraction. I doubt they'd let their names be revealed because they don't care about fame and acknowledgement. I believe they use the rich and public figures to carry out their agendas, to use as fall guys, distractions, etc.

Agree, I see religion as the most powerful form of mind control in the world.

The reason I believe it is so effective is because of the powerful 'hook' that lures people in.

I came across a video a few days ago that mentions this (@ 3 min.):

He will disguise himself as an angel of light and in every false religion the name of Jesus is there as the hook that makes them believe that something is real there. ~ Ana Mendez Ferrell
