The Palestinians are always accused of firing rockets into Israel.

Why does israel claim the Palestinians are firing rockets into israel but they never say what sort of rockets they are?

Why does the media never ask what sort of rockets they are?

Why does the media never interview weapons experts who can identify and discuss the capability of these rockets? ie their range and explosive power?

Why does israel never explain where the Palestinians get the rockets from? who supplies them?

According to israel, these rocket attacks have been going on for decades so why has israel never found out who supplies them and organised sanctions against them? '

Why has the Mossad been so unsuccessful in discovering who is supplying the Palestinians with these rockets and how? Surely if these rockets are such a menace and dangerous to israel they would give this top priority ?

why does the media never ask israel what they have done to cut of the supply of rockets to the palistinians so they dont need t bomb them?

Because if they started asking those questions the whole house of cards would come crashing down.

For what it's worth

Qassam rocket

The Qassam rocket (Arabic: صاروخ القسام‎ Ṣārūkh al-Qassām; also Kassam) is a simple, steel artillery rocket developed and deployed by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas. Three models have been produced and used, with the first introduced in 2001.

More generally, all types of Palestinian rockets fired into southern Israel, for example the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Al Quds rockets, are called Qassams by the Israeli media, and often by foreign media. The Qassam gained notoriety as the best-known type of rocket deployed by Palestinian militants mainly against Israeli civilians, but also some military targets during the Second Intifada of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. These rockets cannot be fired to target specific military objectives in or near civilian areas.

With little help from Iran, Hamas fights Israel with homemade rockets

Unlike the previous war in Gaza in 2012, Iran has not declared the same level of support for Hamas in its current fight against Israel. Also unlike the previous war, it has not taken credit for the rockets owned by Hamas and launched on Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa and Gush Dan....

A senior official in Hamas from abroad confirmed to Al-Monitor by phone that “al-Qassam Brigades took a decision to develop their locally produced rocket arsenal in light of the apathetic relations with Iran, which were not entirely cut. However, the deterioration became apparent in the financial and military fields, prompting al-Qassam Brigades to initiate a campaign that is well underway of local production to make up for the shortage caused by this deterioration.”

Why do we need to know?

If someone is going to stab me, I don't discuss the tensile strength of the blade.

I simply try to avoid getting stabbed.

I think it's because the media always tends to overemphasise the term rockets, how many and so on. But in their eagerness they don't bring in all the facts, just those that are enough to paint a dark picture of the acts of Hamas.

Qasam rockets aren't exactly rocket science (pun intended), sure, they cause immediate damage, but compared to bombing buildings with Paveways or tank barrages.....................

Or perhaps, why, when faced with such a high death toll on it's civilians- would it continue with such a strategy?

Doing something that directly causes more civilian deaths amongst your own people than deaths in your enemy seems to suggest that whoever procures and fires the rockets, has a completely different agenda to the average Palestinian.

Voila!
The perfect ATS thread in three posts.

(1) OP asks some interesting questions. Enticing people in to find out more.

(2) 2nd post. Answers cryptically implying in few words that investigation could get murky. Enticing people to dig more.

(3) Someone answers the OP's questions factually with references and enticing people to search /learn more.

Its a 3 step thing of beauty!

Uhm, have you not seen this THREAD?

Wrabbit did an excellent job answering almost every single one of your question...

As we can see, these rockets aren't exactly just a little fireworks like many people here are trying to present them...

It is clear that Hamas' objective is to create "martyrs" in order to influence public opinion. It is starting to backfire. Even in Europe, the veneer of sympathy for Palestinians is starting to peel off, revealing the Anti-Semitism underneath.

I watched a report I had recorded several days ago during which Matin Fleatcher reported that Hamas "was firing almost 600 Scud missles a day into Israel".
If we are to believe this, we would naturally remember the Scuds which were used by Iraq during the first Gulf War.
I see this as the MSM doing a little "seed-planting" and "message-creep" to alter the true perceptions of this conflict.
This does more to obviscate and hinder any real meaninful discussion on the conflict. A kind of "divide and conquer" stratagy by the media, but in whose favor?

Wrabbit2000 has made a very detailed thread about it about a week ago. You can read all about it here.

The information is always present, the question is why haven't you bothered looking?

I agree, it's a stupid and cruel strategy that is failing miserably.

Aha, But would they have even less land had they not resisted ????.......A look at the more peaceful West Bank would suggest yes.

What I find more dishonest than the media reporting is the Hamas apologists unwillingness to accept the facts.

So far, this little part of the world has been monumental train-wreck of a big fat fail. Blink and you'll miss it.

Out of all the trouble plaguing the planet, including the continued destructive exploitation of her resources and the great number of starving children, why is there an intense amount of media focus on what happens in that small part of the world?

Why are we being collectively drenched in the Israel/Palestine information blame-game which consequently forms opposed opinions among normally like-minded people?

The official term is "Qassam/Kasam Rocket." Hamas manufactures them, hence why Israel can't really blame any specific supplier. Alternatively, Hamas can buy rockets and arms from the black market, but these can be expensive and difficult to smuggle into Gaza.

Ultimately, the rockets are very primitive in design, lacking accuracy and not doing much damage.

A little bit of research would have answered all of your questions instead of making you seem ignorant. I guess bias paired with agenda will do that to people. Always do your research.

They do. Hamas is bankrolled by Iran, there are some other minor benefactors as well, including private ones. (Rich oil sheiks.)

According to israel, these rocket attacks have been going on for decades so why has israel never found out who supplies them and organised sanctions against them? '

What do you think goes on in the ME. There are sanctions and political push/pull charades every month. The US is Israel's main ally when it comes to these games.

Why has the Mossad been so unsuccessful in discovering who is supplying the Palestinians with these rockets and how? Surely if these rockets are such a menace and dangerous to israel they would give this top priority ?

It's hard to go after nations. One thing when it's some backwater group. Quite another when it's the top brass of an entire country that has trade deals going on (even if they are restricted or under major scrutiny.)

They installed the Iron Dome which has cut casualties down by a magnitude. Problem being that it only takes one rocket to instigate a reaction (can you blame them?).

Why not stop for a second and perhaps ponder laying blame to the ones firing the rockets and then hiding with children or at hospitals because they either want to remain hidden and operational, or (b) when that fails get as much collateral damage as possible from your own people to make Israel look bad...

Gee whiz.

FEAR

Whether justified or not people fear an expansion/escalation of conflict over finite resources, territory and of course greed which might someday lead to war at their own doorsteps.

Not to mention all the various Religious sects, denominations that have a hard on for the end times.
