Guerilla tactics always work against a force controlled by politics and whose populace doesn't have the stomach for war.

Our military is always forced to fight with one hand tied behind their backs. The military didn't fail in those conflicts, the rules of engagement made it impossible to win.

That is a very good point.
But as TPTB sucessfully implemented a private central banking system in Iraq (and Afghanistan) after such invasions, they have little need to join this war, their mission has been completed.
