Hey guys, so I'm looking for some advice. This morning a friend dumped this in my lap. I promised him I would try and find some information on it for him. A little background my friend is 26 yrs old and has attempted suicide 4 times. The other night was the fourth time. This morning he showed up at my house and woke me up to talk to me about this. He has had a lot of bad things happen in his life. Things that have turned it upside down. He told me for the last couple of years he has constantly seen a shapeless blackmass always following him at a distance. He said in the last couple of months it has gotten progressively closer to him, to the point in the last couple of weeks it has been right next to him and the other night he had taken a pistol and put it to his temple and he said has soon as he did this "thing" was right there in his face.

I asked him what it looked like and he showed me a tattoo of the grim reaper and told me it looked exactly like that. It hung there in his face sneering at him. Aside from the obvious need for medical help I'm not sure where to go with this?? I don't discount what he is seeing because of my own interactions with from the other side of the veil that I've written about on these very forums. So any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I am not trying to put down your friend but it sounds like he is looking for attention or he has a plan that involves YOU!. 4 suicide attempts? If someone wants to commit suicide they will do it and it does not take 4 times. If I was you I would be VERY cautious with your friend. STOP letting this person in your home. For 2 reasons: (1) That evil entity could become attached to you or your home. Meet your friend downtown not in your home. (2) Depending on the state you live in - if your friend kills himself in your home - you could be charged by the local police.

Also STAY OUT OF HIS HOUSE!! Do not go inside this man's house.

My son's ex-girlfriend (she was 25) had this same problem. She had been practicing (one of many) the art of the occult. She attempted to "look into the future" and find answers to her questions instead a large black blob appeared and hung out in her room - in the corner. My son and I have seen this thing. She was near her wits end and then she came to me and asked for helped because she knew I was a Christian who had studied the black arts and demonology.

After explaining to the gf that practicing magik or any occult practices attracts negative (dark) forces and is dangerous, she decided to immediately stop. She repented and together we sent that negative energy back from where it came.

FYI: Practicing the occult is a calling card to the other side. Doors open and things walk into your life, things wanting to kill and trick you.

It is a shame how easily it is to get inside one's home by simply knocking on the door and ask to come in etc... to use the phone or the bathroom. PEOPLE please use more discretion and discernment before allowing anyone inside your home, including children!

Don't you think it is time to contact someone from the mental health dept before this gets out of control and he does kill himself? Since you are aware of his problem and he dies - do you think maybe there is a small chance that you are too at fault for his death?

That description is of a psychotic episode, (as part of a chronic mental illness), and he should seek the advice of physician, rather than a exorcist, ASAP.

"mind.org.uk"
Psychosis (also called a psychotic experience or episode) is when you perceive or interpret events differently from people around you. This could include experiencing hallucinations, delusions or flight of ideas. Hallucinations Hallucinations include: Seeing things that other people don’t – such as people’s faces, or other images or visions, like animals or religious figures ...

If he's attempting to self-medicate with 'street' drugs , advise him to stop as they can make any psychosis worse.

I don't believe its a hallucination. Like I wrote in my initial post I've had enough of my own experiences to be able to tell when someone is telling the truth.

S & F for having the heart to help a friend. Im sure a lot of his "friends" either neglected him or he alienated them. What drugs has he done/doing? A few possible tips come to mind. What are your friends interests?
I have heard cats get rid of some spirits as well. Maybe get him a cat idk.
Help him in any way you can man, even if this involves taking a random couple days, throwing him in the car and go do something/ go somewhere that interests him. Last, here is my post I wrote earlier about overcoming my drug addictions, which lead me to suicidal thoughts and my own demon experience. Thoughts and prayers to your friend and you.

Well said also op don't feed his delusions it does more harm than good.
Get him help and use logic when talking to him.
Question him when he talks about it..he needs to lnow himself he is not well and that is the first step of grtting mentally well.

I would not do that if it was me. Provoking any negative spirit is not smart. I have seen people who curse and attempt to "bully" the spirit and this gives it a reason to respond.

Do NOT think a spirit can NOT manifest itself IF all the requirements are met. They can grab you and do awful things to you and some can make you hurt yourself.

If you mean by attention, help then yes I agree, he is looking for any port in the storm so to speak. Honestly he came to me with this because he knows of my past and the experiences I've had. I don't believe it would attach to me as I am strong in my faith and believe. As far as any occult, this guy is a logger and for lack of a better word a hic. He wouldn't be into any of that stuff. He is going to the doctors. As far as past suicide attempts he was legally dead on one of the previous occasions. He put a shotgun to his thigh and pulled the trigger.

I don't believe its a hallucination...

Supporting him in his delusional belief that a terrifying unstoppable supernatural-being is stalking him isn't going to help, quite the reverse.

... able to tell when someone is telling the truth.

As far as he is concerned he is telling the truth , but he's hallucinating.
[ The line "I believe that you believe" may come in handy. ]

You should put him in contact with a mental health professional, or mental health internet-forum, or similar website, (like the "mind.org" I suggested above), it want to reduce the chance he'll kill himself.

I'm going to assume you've never had any experience that is supernatural in nature? Whether you want to believe it or not there is an entire world out there that most people cannot see and are not privy too. However, by that same token there are those of us who've seen the other side of the veil and are well aware of what's out there. I'm not looking for advice dealing with the mental health aspects of the situation. As I stated above that part of it is being addressed.

Again well said.
I have seen the harm feeding delusions can have when I worked in mental health
. One guy saw demons and we used to have the clergy come in until the vicar started feeding his delusions which we had tried so hard for a long time to suppress.
The vicar told him to accept jesus and je would be cured
..
That made him worse and put his treatment back many many months.
Was funny when I yook him to church on a Sunday and he stood up shouting "yes yes I am jesus behold my power" with a massive erection.
I had to get back ip to escort him back to the unit.

Explain to me how listening to him and talking about his experience is going to make the situation worse? I'm not sure what world you live in but generally that's what friends do for each other.

I was raised in Oklahoma - deep wooded area amongst the Choctaws and Cherokees. BUT got smart and left.

After living in a deep forest area, I can tell you there are a lot of things wandering around in the woods. As soon as you said "HIC" a family curse popped into my mind.

Just curious if his mother or father had any mental health issues?

Was your friend an abused child?

If you feed his delusions with demon talk it will make him worse . Listen to him and use reason and logic to dshow him it is not demons but his mental health.

If a person is delusional, he is going to believe what he wants to believe. There is not much you can do to convince him otherwise, because these "delusions" have already taken hold. It is going to be difficult, to make him believe otherwise.

I believe that he has come to grasp his own belief, and what he thinks is reality (delusion).

Although I cannot say without more information, that it is not what he believes to be reality. There is much more information needed to help clarify this individuals state of mind. This is more of a psychological matter, which needs a better mind than mine!

Sorry for wasting time here.
