Following the publication of the “recovered memories of Satanic ritual abuse” book Michelle Remembers in 1980, the United States and other Anglo-American countries went through a decade of “SRA” scares and witch-hunts. After the 1984 McMartin Preschool became internationally publicized in one such scare, day-care facilities generally became targets of “SRA” witch-hunt instigators.

The epidemic extended to U.S. military services as well, including 15 U.S. Army day-care centers and elementary schools by 1987. In late 1986 it was the turn of the Presidio of San Francisco. This $74 million claims attempt targeted one of the day-care teachers on post, but a year later Army Christian chaplain Larry Adams-Thompson and his wife Michele decided to invent allegations about my wife and myself in a $3 million claims scam of their own. That quickly erupted into an international media circus, which involved the FBI, the San Francisco Police, the Army Criminal Investigation Division, the Secretary of the Army, and the U.S. Congress.

The full story of this scam could not be told at the time, as too many government officials in positions of power committed crimes in its furtherance and cover-up. Now it has been, here.

I was just a kid during the satanic panic days. But I do remember all of the local holy roller churches whipping as many people they could up into a frenzy over it. Kids were bringing pamphlets to school listing all of the so called "satanic" bands that were trying to steal our souls.
The point being, anyone with half a brain knew it was bs. The whole thing from the top to the bottom was a scam.
It's hard to believe anyone could still believe that Michelle Remembers crap.

It may appear to be an awkward question but considering "Cat fish" on the internet. It is appropriate to ask. The profile picture of yours, you?

If so, I'd hope people who hold rank in military as you do or have become increasingly communicative with the population. This site demographic is an interesting one and we pose many question that may not be asked by officials or media. So appreciate you being here if it is for positivism.

So are you suggesting that ritualistic satanic abuse just simply doesn't occur? Let alone in the higher echelons of military and government?

I've done a fair share of investigation regarding the topics of SRA victims and TBMC (which almost always goes hand in hand with SRA) and I have, personally, cone to the conclusion that it is rampant in our government and military.

In my opinion, alone perhaps, it seems your book is propaganda.

RA info
more objective RA info

SRA is:

[the preferred term referring to (the) charge that a group of individuals, assumed to be in association with a widespread conspiracy, practice physical, emotional and spiritual abuse on unwilling victim(s) in a ritualistic manner, especially in connection with a commitment to Satanism.

source

I personally believe RA if not SRA is indeed a problem we need to bring attention to. In my opinion it IS happening everyday in many countries around the globe. Sweeping it under the proverbial rug is not helping either. Pretending it isn't even happening is worse.

Like all things speculative, do your own research and draw your own conclusions.

I doubt that someone would be pretending to be Michael Aquino on this website for a decade. Assuming it's him, do you know who he is prior to making this statement of yours?

Just curious, and I mean so respectfully....

It is the one and only Michael Aquino. He was an AMA participant and has shared other curious things within ATS. As for the book, I'm almost curious enough to see if there's anything new regarding this topic and specifically the allegations made against Mr. Aquino and his wife. Mr. Aquino himself has stated that "it was a politically driven, black-bag job perpetrated on him..." Paraphrasing.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Well at least the kindle version is only $10, I don't suppose Mr. Aquino is willing to share any new nuggets of information not already in the public arena that is in his new book?

how can you be so cynical?

i remember seeing mr. aquino on the delightful oprah show with morticia his lovely wife, talking about being a satanist, etc..
they all seemed so happy.
i don't know if a satanist would expose himself like that, or maybe it's just part of the mind#, hiding in the open? but i suppose the logical conclusion is to associate christians with lies & satanists with telling the truth, what's wrong with that?

..and all proceeds from the book go to feeding cancer orphans

Not promoting it; just letting ATSers know it's there. The "Satanic Panic", the Presidio business, and myself have been topics of occasional interest here. If you're not interested, that's perfectly fine with me.

Having now completed the metaphysical books that I wanted to do before I croak, I decided to get this "unpleasant" one out there for the record.

I'm now turning to a bit more fun stuff. My Ph.D. dissertation on tne neutron bomb had to be properly academically dry, but behind the research there was quite a bit of political slapstick, so I'm revising the thing to add all that in. For instance when I visited the PRC embassy, the official who discussed things with me was a Red Army brigadier general, female, who was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. Think the Dragon Lady from Terry and the Pirates. She served me tea and not only talked about neutron bombs but the Soviet strategy for hitting NATO through the Fulda Gap, etc. Both the US and the USSR officials in Washington had been very tight-assed about their neutron dialogue; General W. snapped her fingers and there were all the intercepted transcripts! You can't make this stuff up. Of course I had to leave all of this out of the dissertation or I'd have been vaporized.

So are you suggesting that ritualistic satanic abuse just simply doesn't occur? Let alone in the higher echelons of military and government?

It took law enforcement and qualified research institutions about a decade to really get a grip on the 1980s' "Satanic Panic". Their consensus was that "Satanic Ritual Abuse":

• - does not exist in the United States, as reported by the FBI’s National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime in 1992, after an 11-year study. “There are many children in the United States who, starting early in their lives, are severely psychologically, physically, and sexually traumatized by angry, sadistic parents or other adults. Such abuse, however, is not perpetrated only or primarily by satanists. The statistical odds are that such abusers are members of mainstream religions ... For the last eight years American law enforcement has been aggressively investigating the allegations of victims of ritual abuse. There is little or no evidence for the portion of their allegations that deals with large-scale baby-breeding, human sacrifice, and organized satanic conspiracies.” (Investigator’s Guide to Allegations of “Ritual” Child Abuse, January 1992)

• - does not exist in the United States, as concluded by an exhaustive national study for the National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect: “In a survey of more than 11,000 psychiatric and police workers throughout the country, conducted for the National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect, researchers found more than 12,000 accusations of group cult sexual abuse based on Satanic ritual, but not one that investigators had been able to substantiate. ‘After scouring the country, we found no evidence for large-scale cults that sexually abuse children,’ said Dr. Gail Goodman, a psychologist at the University of California at Davis, who directed the survey. The survey included 6,910 psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical social workers; and 4,655 district attorneys, police departments, and social service agencies. They reported 12,264 accusations of ritual abuse that they had investigated. The survey found that there was not a single case among them where there was clear corroborating evidence for the most common accusation, that there was “a well-organized, intergenerational Satanic cult who sexually molested and tortured children in their homes or schools for years and committed a series of murders,” said Goodman. (Daniel Goleman, New York Times, reprinted San Francisco Chronicle 11/1/94)

• - does not exist in the United Kingdom, as reported by the British Government’s Department of Health in 1994, after a three-year investigation. “There is no evidence that these [“Satanic ritual abuse”] have taken place in any of the 84 cases studied ... The study of cases in detail showed that the Evangelical Christian campaign against new religious movements has been a powerful influence encouraging the identification of satanic abuse. Equally important in spreading the idea of satanic abuse in Britain are the professional ‘specialists’, American and British. Their claims or qualifications are rarely checked. Much of their information, particularly about cases in the United States, is unreliable.” (The Extent and Nature of Organised and Ritual Abuse, HMSO, 1994)

In my opinion, alone perhaps, it seems your book is propaganda.

I don't think it will come across that way to those who read it. It's a very flat, unemotional recitation of events, all meticulously sourced. And 76 Appendices as detailed documentation. This is a text-intensive book, with every page packed to the margins and 11-point Times type throughout. It's not entertainment, and of course it also includes all the efforts to attack Lilith and myself, most of which is extremely vicious. I think it will tell the entire story, whereupon readers can decide for themselves.

A bit off-thread here ... You might want to read through some of my "long interview" on ATS, which I think is here:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

and we were also talking about UFOs here:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

and we also bounced around "some of that" here:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

My good friend Col. John Alexander, who also gave a long ATS interview:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

has written what I consider to be the best unclassified book on UFOs; you can find it on Amazon. I think my review of it is somewhere on ATS, but not sure where. [I reviewed it for the national journal of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers.]

John has one advantage over me. Unlike him, I spent years in Space Intelligence, with a [literal] "above TS" compartmented clearance. Which still means that I have to be extremely careful about anything I say in this area, unless I want MIBs knocking on my door.

Also see the Franklin Scandal documentary which was pulled from TV just days before it was to air.

"Paul Bonacci and other child victims have given evidence in great depth on the central role of Lt. Col. Michael Aquino in this depravity. Aquinio, alleged to have recently retired from an active military role, was long the leader of an Army psychological warfare section which drew on his 'expertise' and personal practices in brainwashing, Satanism, Nazism, homosexual pedophilia and murder." - The Franklin Cover-up, page 328

It's no wonder the video never aired and there appears to be a common theme regarding the FBI. It also reminds me of the DC Madam Jeane Palfrey and her "suicide".

Watching the video I thought to myself how can one do such a thing? Then I remembered a comment from Aquino's AMA thread regarding 911 and how it could tie in here:

What we're dealing with here is the phenomenon of popular belief systems. Every society has its own fetishes and taboos, and the USA is no different. Within a given society, a F or T is never defined as such; rather it's a reality which everyone takes for granted. It can be something like "only women wear dresses" [although here in San Francisco don't be too sure]. Indeed some taboos are so essential to the national consciousness that it's heresy to even acknowledge their existence or call them "taboos".

(injecting a different taboo here)

The "big" one here of course is we could never molest and abuse our children in sadistic ways.....

How can people do such a thing?? Well....

In the field of PSYOP such things are not analyzed or judged morally, just cause-and-effectly. Once of the consequences of being a PSYOP officer is that you wind up seeing the whole damn world this way, with all of the moral, patriotic, religious, etc. overlays (fetishes, sacred cows, taboos) as "just part of the show". It doesn't even make you cynical, because cynicism requires something to be outraged against. Instead you become numb. That's the real, the serious danger, because the thing that is divine in the human soul is the ability to apprehend, and to desire, and to affirm, the Good. If we lose this, we are nothing.

Utter nonsense, and about par for the course for the sort of people who still try to push their "SRA" sex fantasies on others.

Concerning the Franklin "SRA" scam, I never looked into it, but a Grand Jury did:

GRAND JURY SAYS ABUSE STORIES WERE A "CAREFULLY CRAFTED HOAX".
Many Rumors Are Debunked In Report; Three Are Indicted
- by Robert Dorr and Gabriella Stern
World-Herald Staff Writers

Omaha World-Herald
Omaha, Nebraska
Wednesday, July 25, 1990, Edition 6, Page #1

A Douglas County grand jury Tuesday called the Franklin Community Federal Credit Union child sexual-abuse allegations a "carefully-crafted hoax".

The grand jury's report said the hoax was "scripted by a person or persons with considerable knowledge of the people and institutions of Omaha ..."

While not specifically saying who planned the hoax, the report was critical of some state officials and others who made or supported the child sexual-abuse accusations.

The grand jury said blame must fall on three young people who accused prominent Omahans of sexual misconduct. Two have recanted their original stories, and the third was indicted Tuesday on charges of lying to the grand jury.

The grand jury said "rumormongers" spread much gossip and misinformation.

It said "many in the community both spread and received the gossip" and named three people in particular - part-time Omahan and fired Boys Town employee Michael Casey, Kirsten Hallberg, and Bonnie Cosentino, who were active in the Concerned Parents group.

The grand jury criticized Gary Caradori, the Franklin legislative committee investigator killed in a plane crash July 11, saying he was "duped into working with Casey".

The grand jury said the three young adults who alleged they had been sexually abused as minors were motivated by the prospect of selling their story.

One of the three, James Daniel "Danny" King, 20, became involved in the Caradori interviews at the suggestion of Troy Boner, 23, the other man who claimed at first he had been sexually abused, the grand jury said.

"It is the grand jury's finding that Danny King became involved in the video story at the suggestion of Boner solely for the purpose of corroboration of allegations made by [Alisha] Owen.

"After repeatedly telling Caradori that the events did not take place, Danny King was still persuaded to corroborate [Miss] Owen's story," the grand jury said.

Later, when Boner and King testified before the grand jury, they recanted the stories they had told Caradori, the report said.

Miss Owen, 21, an inmate at the Nebraska Center for Women at York, had accused former Omaha Police Chief Robert Wadman of sexual misconduct with her when she was a teenager. The grand jury indicted her on eight counts of lying to the grand jury.

Wadman, now police chief in Aurora, Illinois, was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Another person indicted was Alan Baer, 67, former owner of the J.A. Brandeis and Sons department store chain. He was charged with two felony counts of paying or compensating men to perform sexual acts.

The grand jury said, however, that it found "no direct connection" between Baer and Lawrence E. King, Jr. or the Franklin Credit Union, other than limited social and business dealings. King was the credit union's top executive.

The third indictment charged Paul A. Bonacci, 22, an inmate at the Lincoln Correctional Center, with three counts of lying to the grand jury.

VOTES NOT GIVEN

Miss Owen's "motivation was to obtain a reduced prison sentence, or more comfortable conditions, and to collect money for her story or from civil litigation," the report said.

The grand jury added: "We think that [Miss] Owen might have been sexually abused during her early years, but not by the people and in the way she has alleged."

The grand jury didn't say how many of its members had voted to indict. Each of the three indictments required at least 12 votes among the 16 grand jurors. The grand jury's proceedings were secret.

The grand jury said the legislature's Franklin committee had "hidden agendas" in pursuing the sexual-abuse allegations. Committee Chairman Loran Schmit has been "politically irresponsible" in some of his statements, the grand jury said.

Former State Sen. John DeCamp's memorandum naming five people who, he said, were central figures in the investigation amounted to a "smear campaign" and further spread the rumors, the grand jury said.

"NO CREDIBLE EVIDENCE"

The grand jury cleared a number of prominent Omahans of sexual wrongdoing. It debunked many of the rumors that have surrounded the 1988 failure of the credit union.

"We found no credible evidence of child sexual abuse, interstate transportation of minors, drug trafficking, or participation in a pornography ring," the grand jury said.

"To the extent that homosexual relations occurred involving such employees or officials, the evidence we were able to uncover showed these exchanges to be voluntary acts of persons above the age of consent," the grand jury said.

The 42-page report containing 12,000 words and the three indictments complete the grand jury's work, which began March 19 and took place in the Douglas County Courthouse in downtown Omaha.

The grand jury also said it found "no evidence of a cover-up", saying: "There are citizens who believe that prominent individuals, allegedly associated with this case, are automatically guilty because of their public stature. They also believe that the public stature of these individuals allows automatic protection and the power to cover up situations. While we agreed that this was a possibility, our investigation found nothing to substantiate any of these allegations."

The entire article and its follow-up are too extensive to reprint here; anyone who'd like .pdfs of them is welcome to email me.

As for Mr. Bonacci, I know nothing about him, but apparently the Grand Jury did; see the mention of him in the article.

Nor have I spent any time on the Gosch business, but everything I've heard about it suggests just one more of the same kind of scam. Anyone else who wants to discuss it is welcome to, but I'm not interested.
