Interesting spin since Obama has stated multiple times now that Al Qaeda has been defeated.

Besides what's going on inside Iraq is not linked to Al Qaeda.. Apparently an Islamic film released on youtube is to blame.

It is not spin. It is fact. Not to mention that whether the group has been defeated or not has nothing to do with the argument the OP is making, simply because the point was that these groups did not exist on such a scale before the invasion of Iraq. There are people on this site, and I have a relatively good memory when it comes to things people say or in this instance write, who I specifically remember standing up for just about everything, if not everything, the Bush administration had done. Some of these same people are criticizing everything done by this administration. Now anyone who understands just why this is a problem is on the right track.

"ISIS Threatens to Invade Jordan, 'Slaughter' King Abdullah"

guess i was wrong,,

www.gatestoneinstitute.org...

quote " The recent victories in Iraq and Syria by the terrorists of ISIS -- said to be an offshoot of al-Qaeda -- have emboldened the group and its followers throughout the Middle East. Now the terrorists are planning to move their jihad not only to Jordan, but also to the Gaza Strip, Sinai and Lebanon.

Failure to act will result in the establishment in the Middle East of a dangerous extremist Islamic empire that will pose a threat to American and Western interests.

ok so now Jordan is involved,, along with Turkey.

All going as planned. Just need to rebuild the Temple Mount and we can get on with it.

Bush and crew were just pawns. So is Obama he's doing his part. Add that for a second line. We all know the Muslim world will not just let them tear down their holy sites.. come on. The Muslim world will have to be on their heels for that to happen.

Jeb will save us or will it be Hillary.. Lol

You forgot about Hillary and all the other left wing nut jobs who voted for the war in Iraq. You know the democrats who sat on intelligence committees and armed forces committees and got up behind the microphones everyday calling for war in Iraq.

Why did these very very smart democrats vote for war, when they had all the intell the world had to offer?

Why do democrats start wars they can't finish.

Oh never mind, I can't expect drones to comprehend such complicated things as a congressional declaration of war.

The fact that bush is a moron doesn't cancel out the fact that nearly all democrats voted in lockstep with bush. Then turned their backs on the men and woman of the military.

Can everyone take a quick look at a map of the region?
Now imagine a continuation of the course which these guys seem to be taking.
If they gained a substancial number of like minded fighters as they move along this path; where could be their ultimate target?

Should of just left the country alone...atleast Saddam Hussein had CONTROL over the country. It's not al_quada or whatever taking the country over...it's the countries militia taking it back, I think MSM calls them the taliban.

Is that suppose to be some kind of GD joke ?

IS IT ?

Iraq was looted by their own people.
The US pumped trillions of dollars there right along with Russia, and China, and other countries.

The simple fact the people who brought AQ in to Iraq was Saudi Arabia.

The simple fact that for a over a decade Saudi Arabia has been arming them, and funding them.

But hey blame Bush.

I blame Charlie Wilson, and Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan and it's ISI for AQ.

That’s because your partial political bend is making you delusional.

Bush opened up the padoras box. Sure other people were complicit with the decent of Iraq, after the invasion.
And sure Iraq was no paradise but your hero Bush made it sure hell on earth

And for you to deny that makes you delusional.

YOU ARE COVERING UP THE TRUTH WITH FALSEHOOD!

A sure way of NOT denying ignorance

Yeah some people are delusional

Charlie Wilson's War is a 2007 American biographical-drama film, recounting the true story of U.S. Congressman Charlie Wilson who partnered with CIA operative Gust Avrakotos to launch Operation Cyclone, a program to organize and support the Afghan mujahideen during the Soviet war in Afghanistan

en.wikipedia.org...

Bush never opened 'Pandora's box'.

It was opened up long before he ever got in to office.

That is denying ignorance there.

Sure other people were complicit with the decent of Iraq, after the invasion.

Sure was.

It's time to get out of the way and let these rival Islamic groups have their battles.

No non-Islamic countries should either get involved, or intervene.

You can be too effective with fire prevention... Sometimes it is better to let it burn.

Bush and his fellows COMMITED THE ORIGINAL SIN OF THE WAR ON A COUNTRY THAT HAD NADA TO DO WITH 911 AND CONCOCTED BLATANT LIES TO GET US IN THE WAR.

That is the etiology of the Iraq decent into at least a million dead and almost 5 thousand US troops dead and today’s disaster of ISIS.

You’re muddying the waters with: the democrats were the guilty ones actually.

Your ACT is to ALWAYS “democrats are really the guilty ones” As if I never lay it on dems or was dealing with partisan politics as you always do.

A one eyed vision of reality backed up by your partisan obsession thereby

diverting people from the truth by ALWAYS throwing in partisan bickering,..

I have condemned Biden, Brzezinski, Hillary, Bill Clinton, Carter, and Obama as hard as even the knave Bush.

Ignore this too!

What’s your point?
Every one knows this.
The fact remains the congress didn’t do the war, Bush and his henchmen did.

If you’re point is that the dems are just as responsible as Bush, then you don’t understand politics since it is the presidential leadership that takes the initiative in a war like this such as the first Bush in the first gulf war.

All but 6 GOP members voted for the war and actually more Dems voted against the war than for it.

Out of 270 GOP senators and congressmen ONLY 7 voted against it.

Out of 258 DEM senators and congressmen 147 voted against it.

Your evidence bolsters the point that the GOP was the culprits in this much more than the Dems.

Something that I wasn’t peddling

Your own evidence condems your own case!

The Iraq Resolution or the Iraq War Resolution (formally the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002,[1] Pub.L. 107–243, 116 Stat. 1498, enacted October 16, 2002, H.J.Res. 114) is a joint resolution passed by the United States Congress in October 2002 as Public Law No: 107-243, authorizing military action against Iraq.

Introduced in Congress on October 2, 2002, in conjunction with the Administration's proposals,[2][7] H.J.Res. 114 passed the House of Representatives on Thursday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. EDT on October 10, 2002, by a vote of 296-133,[8] and passed the Senate after midnight early Friday morning, at 12:50 a.m. EDT on October 11, 2002, by a vote of 77-23.[9] It was signed into law as Pub.L. 107–243 by President Bush on October 16, 2002.

This evidence 'condems'.

Geez.

Any action or series of actions often have myriad components that make up the action or actions.

Though these factors contribute to the operand in question, there is nevertheless always an overriding element that remains the chief factor in the action.

So the fact that Bush had many, particularly GOP co-conspirators, means exactly what?

Hitler also had many co-conspirators as well as the Reichstag where he rammed down laws and legislation that the German people ended up very sorry for.

One can draw only one conclusion therefore from the preceding data points, philosophical, logical, and mathematical determinants:

Bush+Cheney=War/Iraq
