This website gives you 10TB of cloud storage for free.
And the best thing is single file sizes can be upto 32GB.
There are a couple of hoops to jump through but well worth it in my opinion.

Weiyun

The hosting is provided by the Chinese company Tencent.

Hmmm. Why isn't this showing in recent posts?
Have I put it in the wrong forum?

No problem.
And hopefully with it being a Chinese company the NSA won't have a chance to pillage your data.

Similair to Dropbox, your data is stored in the cloud (off your computer/server).
The advantage of this is with most services your file size is limited.
With this site individual files can be 32gb giving you the chance to upload virtually any file. e.g 3d renders, home movies and suchlike

Not really , I prefer to keep my personal documents and stuff on my personal storage that way I know exactly who has access to them.

The hosting is provided by the Chinese company Tencent.

No worries about security there then

There is no way that the cloud is going to store what I want it to. How am I going to get my planers and shopsmiths to stay up there. How about the 67 buick or the fourty seven dodge truck. That is why material things can't be taken with you to heaven when you die.

Smart move

I'm sure they're a reputable company and there is nothing to fear but I'm always wary of companies offering stuff for free , if it's free there's normally a catch somewhere in my experience as companies don't really do free it's a loosing business model.

Click on the main link in 1st post, follow the steps and keep that main tab open, then click english version under the big blue button.
The link would be:-
www.weiyun.com...

For the mobile app top box is username/qq id no. Second is password.
I've not used the mobile app as I use whatsapp anyway so delete it if you only want the storage and download the desktop app. Also the mobile app asks for too many permissions for my liking too.

I dont trust cloud storage.

I will never use any service like that except for single files for a friend or such. I like drop box. I uninstall it as soon as I am done and get rid of every trace of it on my computer.

Nothing stored on another server is secure. I try to store 1 TB of downloaded movies, or hundreds of gigs of music or software and then one day I get a knock on my door.

No thanks. I will just buy another hard drive.

Thanks anyways OP.

To be honest I wouldn't put that kind of stuff in the cloud either.
But for work projects and to save space on my NAS it's well worth it. Especially if zipped or encrypted.
