I'd like to see the bankers reeled in...while the US bankers are part of this mess, they are (in my opinion) not the master puppeteers....they are the puppets of someone else.

Hey mb,

I am pretty sure that even with the covered up deaths ( hidden from their own people rather than from the us during the cold war) they lost half as many in actual launch/training and space related accidents... I would not even say that proves anything ( you could kill many more and people would still sign up to do it) but those are the 'facts' insofar as we know them!

They arnt so bad now, but in the past, wow, shockingly bad.

Considering where they started from after the war and the fact that the US grabbed most of the German rocket scientist whereas the Russians got some rocket engineers the conventional wisdom is that they did better under the circumstances than the US did as proven by their initial successes in space and rocket launches which they pretty much kept up for the duration of the cold war....

They definitely got the hang of it now.

Yes and so much so that despite the country being essentially financially ruined they grabbed the vast majority of commercial space launches from the US after the end of the cold war.... I really do not understand where you are coming from or what could motivate your post other than total ignorance. I am however willing to listen.....
