ATS i have read the entire article and even though I have shouted
down the other side.. This article is making me take a rethink of the entire Ukraine question.

What is the point of aggravating Russia to this extent (if true).

Guardian

Why do we tolerate the threat of another world war in our name? Why do we allow lies that justify this risk? The scale of our indoctrination, wrote Harold Pinter, is a "brilliant, even witty, highly successful act of hypnosis", as if the truth "never happened even while it was happening".

Every year the American historian William Blum publishes his "updated summary of the record of US foreign policy" which shows that, since 1945, the US has tried to overthrow more than 50 governments, many of them democratically elected; grossly interfered in elections in 30 countries; bombed the civilian populations of 30 countries; used chemical and biological weapons; and attempted to assassinate foreign leaders.

In many cases Britain has been a collaborator. The degree of human suffering, let alone criminality, is little acknowledged in the west, despite the presence of the world's most advanced communications and nominally most free journalism. That the most numerous victims of terrorism – "our" terrorism – are Muslims, is unsayable. That extreme jihadism, which led to 9/11, was nurtured as a weapon of Anglo-American policy (Operation Cyclone in Afghanistan) is suppressed. In April the US state department noted that, following Nato's campaign in 2011, "Libya has become a terrorist safe haven".

the US is controlled by this other entity that doesn't have the average Americans best interests in mind. SO, the only way for them to continue their campaign is to get us fighting someone else before we start fighting THEM.

For America to win = TPTB win
wanting TPTB to win = more misery for everyone, Americans included.
Wanting TPTB to lose = being "un-American" in the sheeple's eyes
The only proper thing to do is for TPTB to LOSE.

but how?

After reading the latest headline article Son of U.S. Vice President Biden Joins Ukraine Gas Company in Wrabbit's thread, I'm starting to re-think my position as well. This is only provoking the situation and I have to wonder if it's on purpose.

There is so much propaganda from both sides that it's hard to sift through the madness.. I've been watching since Crimea and the situation seems to never cease becoming more and more of a cluster # in Ukraine. Neither side has a good case or excuse for why and how this all came about, and both sides are guilty. The only ones who aren't are the Ukrainian people themselves, they don't need either side injecting their BS into their sovereign nation.

As the article states, it does seem recently, as though the U.S. may be looking to start a fight. There's a million and one reasons we could talk about as to why, but I guarantee it doesn't involve you and me or the Ukrainian peoples' interests.

So the US who has said over and over it would not go to war for Ukraine has secrely created this entire scenerio to go to war with Russia? Is this the same US who so far has launched some minor santions and suggested talking the issue out? And I guess we have to assume that the US made Russia take Crimea, threaten Moldova and fly bombers at the UK, Sweden, US etc. This very well could be one of the dumbest theories ever put forth on ATS.

Hi Rigel, you and I have locked horns a few times over Ukraine.Twice now, you have written this way.It is a interesting change for someone who was calling for Putin's head on a platter. It seemed hard core indoctrinated. It is warming to see your own research is opening your eye's to many possibilities.Nothing is ever as it first seems, once you start digging.Good for you.Even if you swing back the other way, you have my respect for at least exploring the possibilities.

I agree... so much propaganda is very hard to sift through but Biden's son on the board of directors really starts to gel things in my mind.

Rigel14 was was more a hardcore West supporter than you, and with some maturity has reached his own conclusions. It not hard to come to the same conclusions once you get red dawn out of your system.Gulliable much?

What if the good guys created a worldwide(language) website to collect signatures in the name of ''overthrowing the corrupt groups of people that supports an agenda which is not in our interest''. Maybe it could make a difference

here's how i see it: humanity as a whole are violent savages who wish it were otherwise and refuse to face the truth of themselves so they put the blame on whoever has the most power and prosperity so they can feel better about themselves and what they have done wrong, so they can say it's all this or that peoples fault instead of them.

oh need a pipeline and some seaports here? lets invade it then blame america, it's easy just pay off a corrupt leader about to fall from his post because his abuse and corruption, when he falls he will run to us then viola we can just claim he was "forced" out to "install" whoever the people legitimately elected and whatever we do becomes justified and hey lets stir the population a bit to make our actions seem even more justified. it'll work easy and hey at the same time it will make our rival look like a bad guy because of the past.

so many here claim to be "awake" but that's just arrogance based on the fact they see a set of different but similarly biased and manipulated "information" and "facts" that others do not, only those who see beyond both realities in multicolor can claim to be even slightly awake, the world is way too amorphous to pin the blame on america for every negative thing that happens just because we happen to interact with other groups or nations.
that's like saying a mountain god caused a drought because he wants a sacrifice of a virgin female or a child instead of it just being a hotter than average year or due to a massive volcanic eruption, causation by association is rarely the reality of things even if people usually fall for it all the time.

Well, I'm not fighting. I surrender the leaders, only the leaders, Harper and Obama to them and they can all fight it out in a little room with pen knives and do some fencing, and flush each others heads down the toilet. Putin can opt out if he wishes and just leave the 2 having at it, but we're not joining in one bit. Disgusting show of criminal abuse of power, and if any of them come near me, Im performing citizens arrest on them for high treason.

I'm not sure if the OP is true or not.. and I'm not bothered about the food wrapper
that indeed could be a plant or just simply bought from anywhere.

I'm more concerned with Bidens son .. stuff like that.
And the "# the EU" statement

And the evidence that Russia is encircled and that any obstacles for NATO expansion are now Removed.
Also.. there can be no evidence of the intention to have Russia lose their warm water port in the Crimea, with out
seeing US policy docs and that won't happen, but you can see it as a logical progression of the situation in the beginning
of the crisis.

I'm still not sure who the bad guy is.. Truth is a rare commodity

As much as I can't stand Mr Spad or what he is trying to imply by twisting half truths. Unlike him, I am objective and unbiased. In this example yes Mr Spad is correct.Russia did Buzz Sweden. They share a small part of border.Russian subs have regulary popped up along the Swedish coastline. It is common, it is not threatening.Swedes laugh at this and make jokes, it is that common and meaningless.Only now are a small minority of Swedes buying the Western hype and are becoming nervous. Most couldn't care less.

So yes Russia has buzzed Sweden, they have not been aggressive and no they ain't going to invade as Mr Spaz implies. My Wife is Swedish and I was in Sweden at the time.So first hand account.

Prove it MrSpad. Demand this whole situation be brought to the UN Security council for peaceful resolution. Otherwise, all you offer us is empty words, and empty promises.

Thanks for this article and a Star and a Flag.

This answer from other thread.

Many important things to undertake for the good of the human race:

a) keep the oppressive and opportunist AngloAmerican aka AngloSaxon nose out of other countries affairs

b) keep Islamic fanaticism under the boot and well contained

c) clean up the corruption culture from the non western world and economies

d) keep the NAZI and similar extremist ideologies including communism and hard flavored socialism well sealed and airtight

Rest will be............progress at One Day at a Time..............
