I'm not taking any side, just saying that you need to realise London and Kent are not the only places in the UK.

I live in Leeds, Beeston, the most populated area for Muslims in Leeds and I see no "Muslim England"

All I see is a Corrupted, Propaganda driven Britain, hell bent on destroying the image of Muslims to justify their atrocities in other countries and keep the dumb subdued and distracted from the real issues.

I have mates in Bradford and have lived there for a short while due to work and would honestly say more than 80% of the none Muslim population would tell you that it isn't how the media are portraying them areas. I'm guessing the % obviously, but it's not like I talk about football or porn, in person i speak about this # constantly. For an example of how much Bradford is untied just look at the recent polls there with the Respect party that George Galloway is fronting, the proofs in the pudding mate.

On a slightly off topic subject it annoys me how Halal meat has randomly become a subject of conversation lately, people popping out of the woodwork with their racist opinions. But they only have opinions because the media are giving them one. An example would be the recent story about Subway who stopped selling bacon and started serving Halal meat. What Subway did was integrate their business model to suit the consumer basis, nothing more & nothing less. Yet the media are saying that "Muslims make Subway take bacon off the shelves" - So due to the majority of the public's blind faith in our media outlets, they have taken it as gospel and started to boycott Subway. . . Sorry but this is just #ing insane. Rational thinking has been replaced with "THIS IS WHAT YOU THINK"

Like anything, come to the place before coming to the complete acceptance to what the high paid, agenda driven, white collared, higher class, probably an ass hole journal who is only pen pushing what their companies sponsors are telling them to.

I wont deny that some parts of Islam law is #ed up, but when people are saying that Muslims are enforcing their ways upon us and then been a total hypocrite and saying that halal meat and the Burka, as an example, should be banned, that's just absolute hypocrisy at its finest. We keep our laws, they keep their culture, if they can not adapt then leave - Everybody is happy. The recent media attention to halal meat, burkas, sharia law or what ever is just a distraction and people are lapping it up, it's not a real #ing matter.

On a final note, I feel safer walking near woman in a Burka, eating a Kebab, than walking near a Police Officer.

Halal meat, the animals are not stunned before their throats are cut, also the butcher (literally) prays to 'allah' before doing the deed, muslim butchery is actually against old English law.

I lived in Britain, and did stay in some areas that reminded me of Saudi Arabia. There are some small communities that do live in their own Sharia laden worlds, and really do not care about or acknowledge British law or culture. Namely, the places where I saw this were in Cardiff, Bradford, Halifax, and Birmingham. However, these were communities within cities. Leave these communities, and you find a country whose national pastimes are binge drinking and gorging on pork pies and Scotch eggs, so it is safe to assume that Britian isn't going to become a Sharia country anytime soon.

Anyone on this site read about the Christians being murdered in Syria? Boko Harem kidnapping girls for sale in the slave markets? there are many more instances, if you dig a little. I notice the British BBC television news took three weeks to air the news about the kidnapped girls.

"Stunned" or not, it don't really matter. Within a few seconds, the blood and oxygen is drained from the brain, dead. The main arteries going to the brain are not resupplying it because they are severed clear through. It's like people that freak out when a chicken is beheaded in one clean chop and start flopping all over the place.

I have to say i agree with the general premise of your argument that the far right propagate a myth that the UK is overrun by Muslims, this is entirely true. Many Americans (especially on this website) seem to be largely ignorant of the world outside of America, I am not trying to incite hatred (though I no doubt will) and I know this is a generalization but it is true to some extent, (I have family in the US and have visited a number of times to different states, CA, VT, HI, DC-not a state & MA) at least from my personal experience.

However I do disagree with the idea that Deptford and Hackney are no go areas, far from it!
I am a Londoner born and raised within the city limits, and have worked in jobs taking me all over this wonderful and amazing city. In fact Hackney is now one of the most up and coming areas of London and a highly expensive area indeed! However Deptford is very deprived, but very far from a no go area.

Also just because somebody has Islamic heritage (Nigerian, Somalian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Iraqi, Indian, Malaysian, etc) it does not mean they consider themselves a religious Muslim, much the same as an English or German person being only nominally christian.

However there are areas within London and many other cities which are almost 100% Islamic, this means that people whom are indigenous and live in these areas have a skewed vision of reality & hence propagate the myth that the UK is becoming Islamized. There are still many areas (not including London) where Islam is an extreme minority & will continue to be so. The nature of expatriate communities is that they grow around a 1st generation base, and hence some areas develop majority minority populations, this is then used as a basis by extremist far right individuals/groups to argue the UK is becoming Islamic. No doubt Islamic communities have fast growth rates, but that is because they have a low base, so any growth equates to a large percentage.

I went to university in Plymouth in Devon, a city of 250,000 + people and the regional hub. It is 98% white British, the largest minorities are the Polish & Chinese/Korean students. Islam is ax extreme minority, we're talking 30-40%, so there is a huge variation within the country which many fail to take into account when forming a view.

To all of the Americans out there or people ignorant of the situation, in 2011 the Islamic population of the UK was 4.8%, as a comparison the Islamic population of France is estimated at between 8 & 10%.

As a comparison, the non-hispanic US population in 2010 was 4.8% (see page 4 of report for data), this is the same percentage of british people who are Islamic.

So unless any one you Americans or anyone else for that matter want to claim that Asian people (Chinese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Korean, etc) are taking over the USA then you cannot seriously claim Islam is taking over the UK considering they represent the same percentage of their respective total populations.

The UK is not becoming "Islamized", and the US is not becoming "Asianized". Unless of course you choose to believe 4.8% of a total population equates to "taking over"...........

There is no 'Muslim Britain'. I used to live in Preston, which has a couple of Muslim communities, but I never had any problems. Like any community there were good and bad areas. People need to stop buying into fear and propaganda, it just shows they have no critical thinking ability and just garner their attitudes from newspapers. To me that is something far more scary than a community with different beliefs living nearby.

In recent years the media has bombarded the sheeple with a plethora of shock headlines.. "Council bans Christmas in fear of offending muslims"... and such tripe, where there may be a kernal of truth I came to this conclusion...

Over the years social engineering has slowly eroded the country's backbone, the main agenda being the fear of offending people and the stigma of being accused of being a racist. This has become such a sore issue that people in high places who are worried about their image either give in as to not draw unwanted attention to themselves, or just blatant butt kissing for votes.
Whilst the majority of the Muslim community just happily get on with their lives there are the chosen few who deliberately create trouble just because they can... why? human nature, every community has them, and the idiots fall for it every time.

I admit I have felt that the UK was becoming a muslim nation. I hear about the muslim extremist and semi extremist. you don't read about about the Muslims that are just good people.

While I feel the muslim agenda is to rule the world with a caliphate and put everybody under sharia law I don't think it will happen.

That is the exact same percentage of Asians in the US, and do you think that Asian Americans are taking over the states?

People with an agenda (usually ignorant people) present the UK as Islamic, but this is simply not true.

They show pics and videos of Asian neighborhoods in the UK and portray that as the macro picture when it definitely isn't, If I showed you pictures and videos of Korea town in LA and told you ALL AMERICA was like that would you believe me?

That is the same as believing people who show pictures of Bradford and claim all of the UK is like that.

I went to school my whole life in a London borough (yes it was an upper middle class area, but a selective school) but there were only 7 South Asians in my year, and most were not Islamic but Hindu. There were a lot of NOMINALLY Muslim Turks, but believe me, THEY ARE NOT MUSLIMS. Drinking, smoking, gang culture, sounds SO Islamic.

Believe me, the UK is not being overrun by Muslims, it is PURE PROPAGANDA.

Officially Iam a Jedi I put it on my cencus in 2001 and in 2011

I live in West Yorkshire near Bradford and there are many Muslims about but they are as British as you or me, many are Muslim because of parents etc and the younger lot are not hard line muslin heck I know many that love a bacon butty and a pint lol.
I always laugh when some american says "you will be taken over soon by Muslims" how? they are 4% in the UK...4%.

I live in the North West of England.....there a few estates that spring to mind that I would choose to avoid, funnily enough they are made up of White British communities.

In the past where I live there has been confrontations when Christian celebrations such as Christmas have been turned into something else so as to include other faiths. But this was decisions made by local councils and not by request of Muslims etc. Local government is quite good at creating tensions where there are none or exacerbating them.

If it makes the muslims or jews happy, and don't effect me negatively, what do I care? Eating hallal food isn't gonna effect me negatively, eating kosher food isn't going to effect me negatively. So I really don't care. Why should anyone care?
