Arrested for Speaking Out at School Board Meeting.
A New Hampshire parent was arrested at a Monday night school board meeting after he voiced outrage his ninth grade daughter was assigned a book that
contains a page detailing a graphic sexual encounter.
A police officer then arrived at the scene, instructing Baer to leave with him.
“You are going to arrest me because I violated the two-minute rule?” the father said. “I guess you are going to have to arrest me.”
Moments later, Baer was escorted outside and placed in handcuffs. According to WMUR-TV, he was charged with disorderly conduct because he did not
immediately leave when asked by an officer.
I would like to know what people think about this.
Should people that speak out of turn at a school board meeting be arrested?
Is this an infringement of the 1st amendment?
At this point I am not sure what to think when US citizens are getting arrested for trying to protect their children, and speaking out of turn at an
informal school meeting.
Please send me a PM so I know that I am not living in the twilight zone. What is going on?
