Isnt Russia's PM in North Korea today?

"The 39th Army, a major Chinese military unit that would be deployed to the Korean Peninsula in a war, carried out an emergency mobilization drill near the North Korean border recently, the official CCTV reported on Saturday.

The drill comes amid signs that the North is preparing for a fourth nuclear test, and pundits speculated that it was a warning to the North and other neighboring countries to tread carefully."

Not implying that what you are saying is correct or incorrect, but is there a link/links you could provide so that the rest of us can read up on this?

I see a BIG game of RISK unfolding.

The resurgence of Russia in Eurasia. The Chinese Pacific Theatre. The Iranian's Arabian/Persian goals. North Korean madness aimed at South Korea and Japan.

America and her Allies are spread across the board, yet only America's homeland is safe from foreign invasion that could be sustained.

Yeah, the sabres are rattling, the industrial gears are cranking, and the nukes are almost ready hot.

China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea will attempt to turn the table on America. NK will invade SK and fire on Japan, China will back NK and invade the Phillipines/Malaysia. Russia will regain former Soviet States. Iran will take Iraq and attack Israel.

America will either nuke and be nuked defending her allies, or pull back in submission and watch the world fall. Nuclear attacks will happen in this century, but on what scale? Deals have and will be made. America will be allowed to exist, but only if she gives up her interests and foreign posts. The world will treat America like post war Germany. Sanctions, no military building. Forfeiture of assets, lands. A shell of her former self. That is their united plan.

There wont be time for any invasions. If one North Korean soldier's toe steps over the boarder is will be boom boom time. No more North Korea. As to Iran, Israel will unleash the Sampson option and nuke Iran back to the Stone Age and probably much of the Middle East with it. Regarding Russia, well it is a foregone conclusion that a NATO- Russian exchange will occur. Moscow will be obliterated as would Washington DC. No invasions, just plumes of smoke.

Well, there is undeniably a lot going on with "America's enemies'.

But it is so hard to tell what is just the truth is with so many moving parts and intertwined country alliances...

..Aside from obvious examples of Syria (seems like the world has just become numb to the conflict there these days and it's mentioned rarely and then as an afterthought) and Russia and the Ukraine.

Russia's blame-placing on the West and in particular the USA bodes ill.

The China and Japan dispute over those small islands rich in resources has already prompted the USA to say they will stand with Japan even in battle if it would come to that.

The Chinese exercises off N.K.'s border doesn't seem too worrying to me though.
China has kind of been keeping N.K. under its thumb, so I can't see any military dust-up between them--or with S. Korea because the North has been all bluster for many years.

Only time will tell how this world drama will play out.

North Korean and Chinese relations have dipped to an all time low. This is no doubt why Russia is reaching out to NK as they have also done recently with India. While Russia is looking to secure a buffer zone in the West they clearly are focusing on what they see as their biggest threat, China. The growing rivaly between China and Russia will be very interesting to wacth and perhaps dangerous as well.

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman last Thursday said, "China will never allow a war or chaos to occur on its doorstep."

About time they asserted themselves.

If they annexed NK, I, for one, wouldn't object.

Haha yeah and what fairy tale world do you live in. NK would exact devastating damage to SK within minutes. They might be destroyed but not after killing millions. Why the hell do you think we haven't done anything to NK. They are a real problem with a very real ability to wreak havoc on their neighbors. They do have Nukes remember?

And Russia? LOL you think an exchange with Russia would leave just DC and Moscow in flames and smoke? LOL….wow. The entire coast both West and East with a few cities in the middle of the country two would probably be uninhabitable for 100+ years after a nuclear exchange with Russia.

And you are sure China is an enemy of the west why?

Sure China isn't thrilled with America's meddling but.... China needs room to grow and if your neighbor happens to be a lunatic dictator and America will be doing the strategic bombing anyway and then your other neighbor has only 7 Million people living in an energy rich region the size of Canada (siberia) and the US will also be strategic bombing those areas and it's troops will be occupied 5,000 miles away in Ukraine and you happen to have 1.5 Billion people to occupy said territory.... and the other guy is across an ocean and a land invasion isn't even possible at this time... well, me thinks the enemy of my enemy is my friend

America has something China would like to have. Tested experienced soldiers. Equipment used in the field, experienced military leaders.

China would prefer to have the same before entering a war with any "powerful" enemy

It's also going to want a decisive victory in any first action, to be seen as "a hero" not invader on the global scene.

Japan and the Prize of Taiwan and going up against the "west" offers none of that, it also means going up against other Asians which pretty much puts any chance of a "cultural victory" in the region out of the picture for them...

North Korea however... your walking into a battlefield where America has already hit any nuke sites via stealth, Dear leader is probably already dead and none of the missiles are even aimed at you and when you drop 500,000 or 1,000,000 men in your keeping the the place. Then your army gets that battlefield and door to door training in basically a "safe" environment (certainly not for the troops per say) but there aren't going to be any "surprises" your working with American Intel, 90% of the world has given you approval just like the first gulf war for us, The South Koreans are going to be your buddies afterwards, maybe even the Japanese, even the US kind of owes you one...

I see invading NK for China as a total win.

After reading the article the following can be stated:

The USA and other western powers are not the only one to hold military drills. And normally one holds said drills as a message, and one that should show and prove to all that a country is more than willing and capable of launching a military force. When it comes to China, is it sending a message both publically and through diplomatic channels what it considers a line in the sand.

The last time that China did such where the west was engaged in a military conflict was during the Korean conflict. It drew a line in the sand, said if you cross it, then it will launch a counter attack and through its full weight against those doing the attacking.

China does not want North Korea having nuclear weapons, it is not happy about such. Nor can it afford a mass influx of refugees coming from North Korea up into its country. It would be similar to if say Mexico was involved in war with say its neighbors to the south. The first response of the civilian population would be to head north, and the USA is not prepared for an influx of refugees or causalties, from the people running up into the country.

China ultimately is still pulling some of the strings of the North Korea. North Korea can not afford to lose its alliance with China, as it would cost deeply, in the loss of vital supplies that it needs and requires to function. So it is going to threaten and do military exercises, and the military drills that the Chinese are doing is a sign to both, South Korea, the USA and its allies in the area, along with the North Korea.
