I changed it. You were fly fishing. (man I need to get it together)

Obviously you can't put a hook through something that small.

Really? How big is that dam pixie ?
If i can't hook it I'll tie it ! :-P

I looked these over for a few minutes and all I can say is they look like a highly detailed fake.

I wish photos like these would actually say these things existed or not instead of just clouding it up.

I believe they are just mayflies. Sorry folks

Your bugs look nothing like the the bugs that look like fairies.

Try looking around the picture. If you don't see it, sorry. Didn't say it was identical. I feel pretty safe in saying that those aren't fairies. Just bugs most likely.

I know, I'm sorry, I was just pointing out that they weren't identical.

Which you just mentioned

Here's a picture of common May Flies. They're an abomination during the months of April through June, here in Southern Texas.

Nice one, I just love these.

One question I have here, why would they all have the same posture. i.e. legs and arms are all evenly and same spaced, surely they would have an elbow or knee bent somewhere.

Unless of course they are performing some sort air stage act.

At a glance they look like small mayflies. Probably just hatched.

That is exactly what I was gonna say. They ruin the fun of being on the water when they hatch too :-(

Because they are insects and all share the same morphological characteristics...

How does this get so many flags and stars? Everyone is ready to burn the christians out of their huts with the whole "flying spaghetti monster" thing, and yet somehow the photographed fairies crowd gets a free pass?

There isn't a facepalm meme on the internet sufficient to express this thread.

Well according to my 6 year old daughter they are fairies for sure! Haha, S&F this is cool even if they aren't real fairies its still a cool thought and some cool looking insects if that is what they are (im leaning towards that!).

Can we get a pic of the guy that took these pics. I think you might see a very real fairy if we look at him. Because what kind of grown man wastes 2 years of his life looking for stuff like this. Would love to know. The easter bunny is next just wait.

Think the only way to be sure is to pull their wings off and see if they can walk on two legs- are they tasty? Can 1000 of them clean my house?

I know Rossendale Valley a bit; never seen any fairies.

Hampstead Heath, on the other hand...
