The bolt hole (Replacing the Morning coffee thread)

Hi Guys

I was saddened to see The morning coffee thread get closed, but these things happen if ATS is to run smoothly and not put too much strain on the servers.

So I'm starting a replacement thread.

There are rules

1: T&C's MUST be complied with at all times, no if's, but's or what's.

2: ALL members, staff and lurkers are welcome to come in and share life's troubles, laughs and make new friends or meet up with old ones,

Regardless of race, creed, colour, sexual orientation, or preferred animal avatar.

3: Respect MUST be given to all that enter the thread, any arguments...Take it outside please.

4: Please read this note from Springer

Our beloved volunteer staff shouldn't have to spend inordinate amounts of time moderating what should be fun and engaging off topic social content. We understand the enjoyment some of our members derive from these social threads and that's why we're trying to accommodate them, but this is fair warning that we won't tolerate any sexual innuendo, cleverly (or not so cleverly) disguised discussion about the use of drugs, or anything else that is in direct violation of our TAC.

So please, if you enjoy these threads, show some respect for the venue that makes it possible for them to be so busy by virtue of a huge and active membership and abide by the rules. Please don't think that because a thread is super busy and moving fast that you "slip one in" and none of the staff will notice, this announcement should suffice to prove that idea totally wrong. We know who has been "naughty" and we're letting it go this one time, but, now that everyone has been infromed about what's expected we won't be giving Mulligans going forward.

All that being said lets all get on with having a laugh, meeting new friends and helping each other out.

So when you get tired of all the doom porn and religious arguments, feel free to drop by with a beverage of your choosing and join us on the lighter side of ATS.

What a great idea!

I agree, let's keep everything civil, and polite.
I sometimes am happy to have a place to vent after teaching all day, and cooking one of hubby's favorite -but too long to prepare -dishes, and these excellent threads here, that are great and mind opening, but at the same time are slowly making me a member of the
'Tinfoil Hat Club'.

I am so happy for the weekend, and glad to be here.
Am going shopping with the girls tomorrow, while hubby goes to play soccer.

Ps: Just today, my 'Offering Daily Tarot Card Read' thread has been restarted, I can't believe that thread of mine has been going on for nearly a year!

I was kind of sad to see my coffee thread go, however I fully understand the reasons behind the ATS house cleaning.
Gotta keep that database running smooth!
And I was starting to feel bad for not being able to have the time to stop in and keep my thread going.

I'm just chillin' today, being as I've not been to bed since I got home. At this hour, I thought I'd just stay up and get the laundry done.
At least, the machine does most the work.

Yes, I know the laundry calls, ... I will have to give in and do it tomorrow, unless I can bribe my husband to do it, or find a magic spell for it... the latter is more likely to happen in my case.

I'm happy to say that after months of searching, my husband has finally found a job, and is starting this Tuesday. He's been looking for over half a year , so I am overjoyed!!!

I start my new job on Monday. Ive had the past two weeks off due to being in-between jobs and Ive been drinking two pots of coffee some days. Some may think two pots is just right, some may think its excessive. For me, its a bit excessive for 1. Because it drastically reduces my H2O intake. Anywho, just wanted to drop in about talk about myself without really contributing anything at all. Lmfao.

Yes, the last 8-9 months have been hard but finally we can breathe up again.
Mr.Rainbow has even promised to take me out to dinner this month, he is just like his old self again.

So now I can focus all my energy on baking and creating new avatars for the Avatars Creations thread.
If I'm not mistaken St.Patrick's Day is coming up soon.

That's an easy one for me, my favorite color is green. I wear something green almost every day.
Even my grade 1 students will go:
" Miss, I wrote using orange, pink , your green, and blue."
It's a little embarrassing, but also very funny at the same time. All my students' parents know what my favorite color is, and about my Irish background. They always buy me something green for teacher's day.
