For one...102 meters does not equal 400 feet, it equals 335.
Asteroids have passed and will continue to pass the planet .

My concern is that an Asteroid is flying by Earth and it wasn't even discovered until Dec. 23rd. If it were going to hit, we'd have no time to react.

And were we told about it on the news or in the papers before it passed by? If it was that close and they thought there was a possibility of impact, then I guess they would not want to cause a panic (over nothing)?
At sometime durring the 2000's a large asteroid was spotted last minute that went between the Earth and Moon, less than 1 LD. The initial observations gave it a high probability of hitting Earth, so high that President Bush was notified. It missed but the threat is very real.
it happens all the time so no point worrying about it cause even if the armagedon one comes we,r never getting told about it so just get on with life,if it comes then who cares,ur life ends anyway so to me going out in a bang would be a little more fun.

That is very far away. It needs to be less than 0.1 LDs to have a chance of hitting Earth.
