What's your dream in life???

Do you just watch youtube videos and then come up with ideas to make threads about?
My goal in life would be to see homelessness a thing of the past.
Not many youtube vids about that tho.

Learning everything there is to know about wilderness survival and then just going off into the wild and living off of nature with no contact with society or civilization.
Or at least having a house somewhere in the mountains.
I agree. Anywhere on the fringe of society is fine with me. More isolated the better. Just biding my time till the universe makes it a reality. As for going nuts,my god, being a hamster on one of societies wheels is far crazier than going it alone,IMHO. I'd rather be the crazy cat lady in the woods, than the one under a bridge who dumpster dives for dinner. As for wishes, I just wanna live. I want to enjoy every day I wake up still breathing. When my time comes,I want to slide into home plate, covered in dust, out of breath, and screaming..."Woohoo! What a game!"

Even if you could do it, which might be kinda fun to try, wouldn't you go nuts eventually from the isolation? That's what some say.

You do not neccessarily have to build your own yurt, you could get something flatpack. In the link below are some 'play sheds that could be used (in conjuction with the correct treatments). I would recommend something round so you could put your fire in the middle. There are a few round ideas on the page although some would require you to put in your own panels.

Some of the structures are on raised platforms too which might be useful in some areas. Others have raised areas inside to sleep on or store foods and skins. Either way, whatever sort of shed you went for would have to have a chimney put in. It's awkward when the structure is wood lol. A lot to consider.
I would recommend buying two of these structures. One to put together as a home and one as parts. The base of the spare could be used to cover the hole in the ground you dig to store food. Any sort of felt for roofing, hinges and panels could be stored for repairs or used to make a coal/log shed adjacent to your main structure.
