Fukushima is a terrorist dream come true.......

Think about it.... how hard would it be to fly a small to medium size plane in the #4 building and cause it to collapse.... my guess is it wouldn't be that difficult to pull off..... hell I bet they could drive a good size truck bomb right next to the building and detonate...

It may not kill a lot of people quickly, but it has the potential to kill a heck of a lot of people slowly.... plus it would pretty much collapse the world economy.


Let's just hope that they have really good security, although it would be next to impossible to stop a medium size plane.

The only terrorists are government leaders. terrorist events happen because shepards need to lead the sheep in a particular direction. They pay really crazy people butt loads of money to do it.

I sincerely hope that even the Islamic Radicals agree the poor people of Japan have had enough and deserve no more. They didn't deserve this. Whatever the sins of their ancestors and elders in another time, place and era? They didn't deserve anything like this has been from day 1.

If terrorists did that, I'd be all for a full, 100% and NEVER ENDING quest to Out-Israel the Israelis on what they did in the hunt for Black September. We can do better if we try ...and to the last man. However long or far it would take. Whatever means it would require. Wherever they ran.

If they did what you suggest, the world may well applaud for each one we got, too. That goes beyond even the concept of Total War.

To what end?? Terrorist don't mind killing a few of their own or everybody for that matter. This represents the easiest chance a terrorist group will probably ever have the affect the entire US main land with so little effort put forth.

Its not fearmongering in the least....its already known that terrorists have been looking at flying planes in nuclear reactors...... the thought has crossed their minds a few times..... Fukushima takes the unknown equation of flying a plane into a normal working reactor as opposed to flying a plane into a already severely crippled 3 reactors....

Maybe those laser enhanced DARPA drones & craft are available for security to prevent such self inflicted species ignorance...

There would be no reason for terrorists, specifically Islamic terrorists from the Middle East, to target Japan, as they don't hold any qualms with the Japanese. Japan isn't bombing them at their weddings and funerals.

Islamic terrorists attacking Japan would be the equivalent of China attacking Iceland. It just doesn't really make any sense.

I suppose the propaganda machines really do work.

You are forgetting the big picture because you are too focused on the little picture...... the big picture is a release of enough radiation that would cause the evacuation of the US West coast or in the very least sending waves of radioactive particles across the US mainland. The little picture is Japan itself.... they are pretty much already screwed.

Yes, I am very well aware of what would occur if they were to bomb the Fukushima plant. What doesn't make sense, however, is what their motive would be. Fukushima will impact the entire northern hemisphere, not just the west coast of the United States. If you have a grudge against your neighbor, do you blow up the entire neighborhood in hopes of destroying his or her house?

Furthermore, from a strategic standpoint it makes little to no sense. Fukushima is like the epitome of M.A.D. If they deliberately sabotage Fukushima, you can bet your ass they are going to get glassed. You don't use nuclear weapons against countries with nuclear weapons, especially not America.

Now, you are probably conditioned to think that Islamic terrorists have a deathwish and would gladly jump on the opportunity to die in return for harming their enemy. This is where you are wrong. Those in power want to stay in power more than they want to end the world, and this is especially true in the Middle East. Most terrorist attacks in the region are aimed at people of different faith; it's all about religious control. They could really give a s*** less about attacking the United States, otherwise they would have done so at some point in the last decade.

The terms "terrorist," "rebel," and "freedom fighter" are interchangeable depending on whose side you're on. Al Qaeda mercenaries in Syria? Oh, they are rebels, let's fund and arm them like we did a few decades ago! Al Qaeda in Iraq? Why, they must be terrorists! All the while Bashar al Assad is claiming that most of the Syrian opposition is made up of foreign mercenaries and terrorist factions, not Syrians. It's all a game of semantics. As long as the warfare remains local and tribal, you and I have little to fear from the boogie men.

Terrorism almost always has a cause. To what cause would terrorists want to destroy the whole #ing world slowly. The most common are religious extremists, and they want to destroy those not of their religion or those they deem unholy. Causing fukushima's spent fuels to melt down as well would potentially cause them undue suffering as well. It just wouldn't make any sense to harm themselves/their cause carrying out said attack.

No matter how the media tries to spin there are no Dr.Evil/ super villain type terrorists out to destroy the whole world, aside from Murikah, and Iz Real.

I have to disagree... The fanatics, in plenty of cases, don't mind killing themselves for an objective. Of course, our media doesn't mention what the families of those guys sometimes get, depending on which campaign they're a suicide bomber in. Some families are compensated pretty well, which can't be underestimated in the poverty and rough conditions of some nations.

That being said, the true fanatics who WOULD suicide bomb, IMO, are into killing themselves and 'the enemy'. Some even twist that to justify kids who happen to be in the area. The fanatics are the ones who BELIEVE they are about to meet Allah though, and get Paradise for dying in battle for the advancement of Islam. (How far off base they are, is another matter)

They aren't nation killers. They aren't monsters. It would take a stone cold psychotic monster to conceive of bombing the fuel rod storage areas at Fukushima.
