I am going nuts trying to read all these pages to see if this question was already brought up- please forgive me if it has.

Why do some of my posts not have the possibility to star them? I do not mean in forums such as this where it is the same for everyone, but in other forums, in the same thread, I can have posts with the possibility to star them, and others that do not have it. The ones without might be ones I made from my phone... could that be the reason? Is there a setting to change or something?

I am just curious. Thanx.

Are there any ANY moderators or Site owners that are reading this thread?

There seem to be a number of people having various problems all posting their questions here and no-one is responding?

Are we just being ignored or is there a reason?

When those huge announcement bars come up at the bottom of the screen, how do you make them go away?

They go away on their own.

So we're no longer sending announcements via private messages, and using the bottom-of-page announcement banner instead.

They go away, sure.
But then as you browse around the site, THEY COME BACK
AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN

Ok, I've freaking read the popup message about the avatar competiotion a whole bunch of times now, so HOW DO I MAKE IT GO AWAY????

Edit - and of course as soon as I post this message, it FFFFing pops up yet again!

Edit2 - and of course as soon as I edit my message, it bloody well pops up yet again!

Before you had to go to your private messages page and click replies in order to view replies that anyone made to any of your specific posts.

Took me awhile to figure that one out. You can still view them that way now, but yeah it's so much easier having the ability to just click it on the menu bar with this new set up. ~$heopleNation

....I didn't know you could do it that way.....

Well, since the new way seems to be missing, at least for me right now, will give that one a shot! My method was to look on the "my ATS" page, and check the subscribed threads, going to the end, and using "ctrl=f" to locate anything with my screen name. Very tedious!

No idea what's up with the new feature. Instead of replies now, I have the old "five new threads" thing again. No amount of clicking the various options gives me the replies, either. Ah, well, maybe just a bug. Did post it in the thread for that, so hoping! Will try your old method for now, thanks!

Interesting look - haven't been here in a couple of months.

I like the idea of using the newer technologies. The responsiveness of the site seems better, but the UI seems too "Big" ... if that makes sense. The font, icons, etc. are just too big .. is there a way to make it smaller?

Then again, I would always sacrifice looks for speed.

Thanks.

I get my replies to my threads by going to my mail and clicking on the "replies" icon at the top.

There's a glitch with the U2Us, Admin is aware of it. You have to have 20 posts to start a new thread.

If you take a look at the top right of the page, or the bottom right of the page after this post, you'll notice a series of buttons.

One of them says new thread. This will create a thread within THIS forum, the Board And Business. If you wanted to create a new thread in another forum, you would go to the forums page, select the appropriate forum and the circle with the plus sign in it on the next page, on the right is the button you press.

You need to be in the sub-forum where you want to start the thread- whether it be "Philosophy", "Political madness" or whatever.
You can get there either through the "forums" link at the top, or just by clicking on a thread which is on the right forum (as identified under the thread name).
Either way, you will then see a button which says "New thread" or "New topic" linked to +, and you click on that, which will give you a box to type in.

Hi,

Sorry if this isnt the correct place to ask this, but i didnt want to start a thread over one simple question.

Is it possible to have the ATS search engine organize results by date (most recent). I sometimes search for threads that are up to date but my only results are from years back. How to i find up to date info on ATS?

Thank You

This is very intriguing as I have been wondering for a while if an ATS app would become available, I am strictly using my phone to venture the library of enlightenment that is ATS...
but I do have a question if you aren't too busy pal!

I have an iPhone 4 and would very much like to emulate your idea!
This led me to wonder if you meant the HomeScreen of your internet browser or the actual HomeScreen of the phone itself which displays the Apps???

Thanks SO! & no rush sir, I know it must be a demanding job moderating such a popular site!

Peace.

What happened to the "View all posts by this poster in this thread" option?

I believe it used to be in the little sub-menu of the users profile in a thread, or it was at the bottom of each post (can't remember specifically) but either way it seems to have vanished since the update.

It was a convenient tool for being able to skip through a large thread if you were looking for specific replies.

ETA: Nevermind, I found it when you click on the little green guy in the mini profile

Dear SkepticOverlord,

I'm new to ATP, and have been having great success with my first two threads. One question. How do I flag a thread? Will the button appear after some threshold has been reached for me personally?
