When my sources are telling me the things that they're telling me today, I sit up and take notice. I hope that they're wrong, but with their sources, and information, I tend to believe them over any other source out there.

My sources tell me this will all blow over with a bunch of statements but no attacks of any kind.

Agreed, I'm trying to find military people on youtube talking about movement but, I suck at it.

Theres not much to move...my sources tell me everything that is needed for the cruise missile strike is already in place. The only thing left is for the gov to build its coalition of support. Militaryt hardware is in place and has been in place for a long time. This is not a boots on the ground mission.

No movement in the UK yet, all is running as per for a bank holiday weekend. However, all that happens here greatly depends on what happens in the US.

As far as I'm aware, we will not see any decisions been made from parliament until Wednesday when David Cameron has commenced the meeting of the national security council.

Has the US moved any naval units into the area in the past month or so?

There isn't much but a few key pieces have to be in place.

I hope people realize, we're in for the long haul and occupation for this. This babble of air strikes as if it's all we'll be required to do ...IF we get away with those without losses... is foolish banter.

Libya was FAR less a chaotic situation with *FAR* less dangerous weapons to come up for grabs to whomever can physically reach each bunker first than Syria.

Iraq may have been rumors of weapons by the time 2003 rolled around. However, there is no theory to Syria. They aren't part of the Chemical Weapons treaty and so, have been producing them more or less in the open for 30 years. Their stockpiles are modern, presumably top quality and pretty much the worst of everything to include the mother of all :"why can't we uninvent it?!?", VX Gas.

Now what are they telling us is going to happen?? They are going to weaken Assad to let the rebels over-run Damascus and....then what? They'll just meekly hand-over the chem stocks? Part of what they'll see as hard won spoils of war...they'll just surrender?? We can't, in good faith to ANYTHING...let terrorists like some elements of that group HAVE them ...

So when they say we'll be in it to HELP them win it? Bull Puckey. We'll have to be boots on the ground to AT LEAST secure chemical stocks of REAL warheads which we don't even know the location of, for all of it. What could go wrong??

Not knowing where these weapons are makes air strikes too risky. Boots on the ground with the civil war is also too risky. The benefit/risk ratio from my view says find another way (if one exists). Your question is a good one. How exactly do they plan to strike Syria and then what? How do they see this as a solution when we hear chemical weapons are in the hands of more than just the government? Also - this all assumes Assad won't be ready and fight to the death. He has already stated it wont be like Lybia - the whole ME will go up in flames.

There is absolutely some nasty stuff over there and each group has some of it; Some more than others. We can trust intelligence knows where at least most weapons are but its a gamble. I truly don't see how force (no matter how appalled everyone is by recent events) is going to help. If it worked there would be peace by now.

Right after this story broke last week they said the US already had 3 ships in the area and a 4th was to be heading home but turned around. So everything naval-wise is already there. Plus the 5th fleet in Bahrain, plus the various NATO bases all around from which to launch cruise missiles. Everything needed is there except for a "Go Ahead".

The current situation as far as hardware:

Reuters / Abo Alnour Alhaji

U.N. chemical weapons experts visit a Syrian hospital where people are treated after an apparent gas attack.

The United States has four destroyers in the eastern Mediterranean, close to Syria. But the U.S. Navy maintains a steady presence in the Mediterranean, so the temporary increase appears to be more for saber-rattling than a tactical step to ready for an attack.

American destroyers can already launch attacks against Syrian targets from much farther west in the Mediterranean. And there has been no sign that the United States is moving any additional assets that would suggest imminent action from those ships.

An airstrike from the United States intended to hobble Syria’s storage or delivery of chemical weapons is more complicated than flying a couple of jets. It takes backup — search-and-rescue teams, MedEvac equipment, refueling aircraft.

So far, there is no sign that any of those reinforcements are moving.

In addition, Syria has relatively strong air defenses — much stronger than Libya had during its standoff with the West two years ago — and conventional bombing would run the risk that the Syrian regime could shoot down a manned American plane.

Most of the long range strike can launch from the mainland US, and what can't is already nearby. Some of the other assets started moving early this morning or last night under cover of darkness to keep it quiet for a little longer.

So basically now all we are waiting for is buy-in from the UK, French, Germans and key countries in the Arab League and then once they are on board its on.

Does it not stand to reason that they simply have communications proving Syria is at fault but are unwilling to release that information as it only draws attention back to their wide spread monitoring of internet and cellular traffic?

Yeah, stands to reason just like they had rock solid, undeniable proof of Iraqi WMD's that were about to rain down on us and kill us all in our beds at any moment...like those communications perhaps mate?

This is the second time the West (read CIA, MI6, Mossad) have tried the 'Syria has crossed the red line' chemical weapons crap...Terrorists responsible for the last one, remember the Sarin from Qatar?...Assad was immediately blamed, despite having absolutely no need to use such weapons, it was discovered the terrorists claiming to be rebels set up the false flag...red line talk went very quiet.

Now Saudi have supplied chemicals and materials to make into nerve gas in their hidy hole tunnels, probably wasn't a false flag this time, but it was probably going to be...the idiots probably had an accident and set them off themselves. Either way, this is accusation #2, same charge, same idiot reasoning.

Assad is on the verge of putting down the Terrorists, there's no chance of chemical weapons use when he is kicking their arses conventionally.

Israel on the other hand has used Phosphorus chemical weapons on civilians in Gaza and Palestine, in ADDITION to slaughtering them with conventional weapons...nice isn't it...yet strangly, NO mention of red lines or 'unilateral military action' against those murderers...Israel claimed it was so they could mark out areas...because presumably they ran out of smoke markers, and that was a good enough reason to rain down chemical fire on women and children apparently.

People are SO much more alert since 9/11 it's like a paradigm shift...we don't just passively listen anymore, we research and actually put the effort in to check the facts if any...propaganda isn't what it used to be, it's a very faint shadow of what it once was...a bit like the truth is in the minds of our leaders actually.

What jumps out at me in this news is why say "We are going to attack in two weeks!"..?

Havnt the USA got some boats parked off the coast down in that area? m.nypost.com/p/news/international/weapons_warships_move_towards_syria_uBryxh9YzBrHlvWu6ZdwUL

They have agreed to let UN inspect, yet attack is to happen.

"War is the absolute failure of diplomacy." Robby N., original author unknown.
It brazenly displays the real political power in this game, always the bankers.
Diplomats, military, and even the people don't count or matter... never did.
The real government now of this planet are the bankers, aka the real terrorists.

My guess is that the US doesnt want to appear going it alone and it will take about 2 weeks for UK and France to send over a few token planes or ships to look like they are participating.

Thank you Kali... a much deserved star for your pensive thoughts. This IS
the last straw, and the PTB know our awareness of them has focused to
the point we may need culling in order to be controlled.
This is no panic attack, don't let them fool you. This is our awareness of their
totally evil last act about to play out. They can't stop now, because all the

Over dramatize much? This wont be anything at all. Lob a few missiles at the most. Not even anything like what was done in Libya.

Hi there.

I'm jumping to super conclusions here but...

Maybe the bankers have found a legal way of Pillaging the bank accounts of people torn appart by war?

Hence the war drum being brazenly beaten, goverments will get their share and bankers go to war over who takes the biggest pile of Gold.
