I did not see an "Economic" Forum offhand, but this works for science just as well.
Here is a great visual chart concerning the history and current status of the Element Uranium.
As always, I have to apologize for my lack of computer skills to embed, attach, download graphics
and content on my own. Along those lines, I would like to add that I greatly admire you members
here who have the time and capability to do so. At any rate, here is my "cheap" method of sharing an
Info Graphic with you all to explore.

I think you will find it colorful and informative as I have. Link to Article/Source:

www.visualcapitalist.com...

P.S. It should be noted that I do not necessarily agree with all of the economic advantages
associated with this Info Graphic and furthermore, I am suprised that ATS has not developed
an "Economic Forum" as of yet. Taking into consideration the fact that Economics is one of the
leading factors that initiate a conspiracy.

I've been looking for an economic forum here too. And I can't embed graphics either so someone was kind enough to teach me how to embed you tube videos.

Thanks for the thread.

Nice graphic - nicely Pro-Nuke. You must remember that few, if any, of the long term and indirect (call them externalized) costs of any stage in the nuclear cycle.

I guess since Gold is dropping - we should by uranium now?

It's a surreal world we live in.

Hey FyreByrd, it isn't as accurate as some, but IT WORKS!
The way I see it, It is more important to get the message across.
It is not as important if the message arrives in a box with a ribbon on it.

Tiffany's would differ with me on this.

Yeah , check out the edit on my OP.
I am not selling or buying anything here.
But some of the stated facts are worthy of note.
As far as "externalized costs", well those are the true
dangers to humanity aren't they?

Uranium has a lot of potential advantages compared to coal with respect to global warming and human influence on it. There're also a large number of deaths associated with coal every year.

Look here:
nextbigfuture.com - Deaths per TWH by energy source...
transitionvoice.com - Nukes are scary, but don’t forget coal...
www.forbes.com - How Deadly Is Your Kilowatt? We Rank The Killer Energy Sources...

Eventually, most people will clue into all this. But right now, I see a lot of people on ATS waxing on about how bad nuclear power is and yet I rarely read anything about coal.

Coal power is the elephant in the room.

But lets just shoot ourselves in the foot anyway. To prove something. Let the house of cards come down. I think that's the heart of it. People want to see the whole thing come down in flames.

On the Forums page all you can see is "Global Meltdown" - not very easy to know that it has anything to do with economics or finance. Yeah - real easy to find.

And I thank you for that - however my complaint stands. I didn't think you were being critical of me in any case.

Thanks graysquirrel, I did not realize that.
I figured that was the "Gloom and Doom" Forum.

Cheers!

I have to agree with you there FyreByrd.
To some, such as us, it can be easily overlooked as a forum on Economics.
The "Global Meltdown" Forum at a glance could easily be conceived as a forum
regarding nuclear disaster, or even Global Warming.
The latter is what I thought it to be.

Cheers

Hey Johnny,
This thread was intended to be about the Element Uranium more so than Nuclear Power/Coal.
But since you have mentioned it, I should explain that I am not against Nuclear Power per say.
I am gravely concerned however with the "Current Methods Regarding Nuclear Waste Storage".
I am also concerned about obsolete plants that are still running and over loading of storage pools.
This is not a perfect world, I understand that. There is ALWAYS a "Trade Off".
It is important however to keep the "Trade" in Balance so to speak.

God Forbid a "Carrington Event" or an Unusual Quake,Tidal Wave,Meteor Impact, or even a Man Made Event,
for I am not confident that every one of our "Facilities" could remain secure under the resulting conditions.
This opinion is not isolated to The United States, but Worldwide.

For Clearly, the last Decade has proven that the Unexpected can happen and Will happen.
We could all continue to kick the can down the road, but the fact remains that at some point, the background levels of contamination will reach a threshold from which there is only guaranteed Cancer rates and
premature death, birth mutations, and a perpetually contaminated enviroment and food chain.

To be clear, I understand the importance and enjoy the luxury of Electricity.
I am fully aware that the demand exceeds and/or will exceed production.
We just need to have a better way of going about it.

I just wish you wouldn't have to see the Cat Scan/MRI Tumor to convince you.
