This is because the "truthers" on here have been either ran off, or discredited. It's an easy tactic. All someone would have to do is pose as a truther then use see through arguments to discredit the "truther" pool. And that's what I believe you are talking about here. "Life sucks and then you die"

Say's the guy whose been here only a couple of days....

the truth is that the only reason "truthers" get run off is because they brake the T&C's and get banned.

There is no conspiracy to discredit them, they do that themselves

If the 'truthers' couldn't be discredited, then they wouldn't be able to be so easily.

Example .... I was just posting with someone who says that no people died on the airplanes that flew into the towers. And he/she even says that no planes flew into them. I presented the list of the dead ... their names ... where they were from ... even occupations. But all the poster says is 'that doesn't prove the people died'.

That's insanity.

The people were real. They died. There were funerals and memorial services. Families and friends mourned. But to claim that those people weren't real or that they didn't die even when faced with cold hard facts .. that's just pathological.

It's statements like what that person said that give conspiracy theories a bad rep and it's why conspiracy theorists get mocked. (and I must add ... rightfully so!)

As I said in the beginning ... conspiracy theories aren't supposed to be about who can write the biggest fiction and get away with it, it's supposed to be about finding truth in amongst the chaos or coverup or lies. TRUTH. And the truth is ... thousands of people died horribly. To deny that is to mock the dead as well as make people searching for truth look like idiots.

It don't matter how long I been here. What matters is any tactics on here are and will be used throughout all areas of life. So this is just a mirror of the real world buddy. Length of membership has nothing to do with it. Remember that.

well when you make a comment like this...

This is because the "truthers" on here have been either ran off, or discredited.

its kinda does....

I mean that would imply that in the 3 days or so that you have been here you have seen the "truthers" running of and being discredited, I think i am right in saying there has only been one new thread in the 9/11 forum since you joined up.

so yeah... lenth of membership does matter when you make a statement like that

Those truthers are dumb as a bag of hammers.

Then only thing that caught my attention were the beams cut at an agle.

When you hack up a reply to fit your agenda. Yeah it matters. But with my agenda it doesn't. So I guess what I really said and what you want me to of said having 2 different paradigms. As I've explained why it doesn't and you turned a blind eye to it so you could look right with your argument. Where it does. i guess this argument cannot be settled so let's agree to disagree.

All one has to do is see what someone is complaining about or talking about. And it's pretty easy to paint a picture of what could possibly be going on in that persons reality.

Sounds like it could be a 'banned and back' situation. We get that around here. People with accounts a week old who lament the 'good ol' days' at ATS or something. Many times they are banned former members with new accounts and new names.

Now you've abandoned your thread to point out another member who showed you where your argument led to. I'm guessing this thread was nothing more then trash meant to see who had an idea on how the world works. Am I to assume I'm on a site with abunch of anti-socialists with a bad life that grouped together. On a site to make there lives though a facade it would be to make themselves feel better?

Now don't get me wrong I'm not attacking anyone. But that is totally crazy to see someone totally abandon an argument to jump on the other side of the fence and point a finger. I kind of had this feeling coming in. Now I see this site for what it is.

Lesson learned.

I completely understand your points, and to be honest it doesn't help our cause at the best of times.

But, you also have to understand that because of so much dis-information out there...

So what does that tell me? That Government are consciously recruiting shills to spread dis-info and propaganda on all the major (and minor) social media web sites.

The Internet is a treasure-trove of information, reputable or otherwise...What better way is there to hide the truth, than to overload and confuse us further with dis-information and wild theories?

Not every mind is capable of sifting through the waste in order to find the single grains of truth out there.

Not every single Truth-Seeker will stay along the right path and not get led astray at some point.

So in my opinion, Government has successfully laid the foundations for "conspiracy theorists" and their theories to be mocked.

P.S - Even the "crazies" on here were swayed at one point by dis-information that they naively chose to accept as gospel...I empathise with them and would try to change their overall opinions on a theory, rather than point and laugh at their mis-judgement.

LETS FOCUS on facts.

1. Pentagon damage looks Just like rocket damage or the most unique plane crash damage ever?

2. Which office what hit at the pentagon? wow really, might suspect to say the least!

3. Why was the worlds MOST SUPERIOR AIR FORCE unable to scramble?

4. yes, they were actually ordered to 'stand down'.. this is undisputed.. by those with an actual TOP SECRET clearance, who were PULLING MESSAGE TRAFFIC on 9/11. (how many ATS'ers can say THAT?)

5. building 7 .. no need to go there, obvious.

6. WTC towers.. that looks nothing like a building hit by a plane, ONE DESIGNED to take multiple hits from a plane!--designers OWN WORDS.
a. looks EXACTLY like every controlled demolition of a similar size structure
b. NO,,,NONE...NOT ONE..EVER building of that size has came down by fire, and if wasn't even a RAGING INFERNO.
c. anyone that can look at them fall, and come away with anything other than "explosives were there somewhere".
---shill,,,or completely brainwashed BOOB?

and yet these 'truthers' can't handle facts that run counter to their beliefs and they turn to name calling deflection ...

just like that.

The nutters do a nice job of convincing people that there was nothing more to the story than what the government tells them, don't they?

I don't subscribe to the wild theories a lot of "truthers" do, but I am convinced 100% that there is more to the events of that day than the official story is letting on.

At best, the U.S government was criminally negligent by not preventing an attack that by all accounts it knew was coming. I don't need whacky project blue beam theories to see that things weren't as cut and dry as the U.S government would have some believe.

The geopolitical events that followed 9/11 and the state policies which were drafted as a result (the ramifications of which we are seeing clearly, today), are enough to leave me asking questions. Questions which apparently will never be answered in any official capacity, and which are not allowed to be asked without being branded as nut job.

Now I see this site for what it is.

So you judge this site on one thread containing a handful of posts from a small number of members?

I think the point the OP was making, and I'm certain I'll be corrected if I'm wrong here, is that people tend to enter the 9/11 Forum with pre-conceived ideas and many of these have no supportive evidence at all. In fact some are so off the wall that they beggar belief.
And no amount of reasoning or evidence that deconstructs their unsubstantiated claims seems to make any difference.

When I first joined ATS I spent a bit of time reading numerous threads about 9/11 and it certainly made me aware of the holes in the official story.
I made a couple of rather innocuous posts which were met with an avalanche of vitriolic responses.
I rarely go there anymore.

As with conspiracy theories in general, the more outlandish and unsupported claims made about 9/11 do nothing but discredit the genuine and valid questions many people have.

There ya' go.

Like I said, I don't buy everything that the government said about it. But my goodness ... some of the whacked out nutter 'theories' that are going on, coupled with the attitudes of those spewing them, HURT any chance of finding out the truth about those things that have legitimate questions .....

shall we censor theories, then? who is to say which theories are implausible and which are "Good Conspiracy Theory" worthy. one person's rabbit whole to a truth is another persons "meh".

once Pandora's box is open, it is difficult to contain any particular beast that dwells within. combine conspiracy theories with the untethered chaos of the interweb... there's no telling what we're gonna find.

but screw it, i say bring 'em all on... the crazy sh!t, the clever sh!t, the shady sh!t... & let the astute readers of ATS weed out the malarky from the GCTs with their ever vigilant scrutiny.

i got a theory, btw... it's all possible. we silly humans have no idea what's truly going on, but we fight fiercely to pretend that we do. we are so deep in the puppet charade, that we might as well enjoy the show.

send in the clowns!!!

i'll boo 'em if the bore me & star 'em if they entertain!!

I'll tell ya what there, if you've determined in your vast experience and long tenure at ATS, just what this site "is"? Then you're doing better than I. I don't know that I speak for anyone else's feelings, but you can see by the date on my mini-profile to the left of this message, when I established my account. By no means do I have "seniority" over much of anything, but I've been here quite some time. I'm still finding new aspects and new facets to Above Top Secret on a weekly, if not daily basis.

I'd say give the place a little more than a few days to pass judgement, unless judgement was more or less passed before you made an account. I wonder by the statement there....but that's just me. Give it a few months and then you'll have at least lost that 'new member smell' I hear the older members speak of. (I think I still have a little wafting around me from time to time...so don't ask me when precisely it goes away. A week isn't it though.. lol)

These wild and ridiculous theories are created, funded and proliferated by intelligence agencies whenever there seems to be a real meme developing.

Its par for the course, when you start making too much sense they will come in and throw some mud in the water to discredit it.

And considering the brain dead posts I've been reading .... the 911 'truthers deserve
to be mocked.
