I saw a video on infowars forum at the time of the Vatileaks affair and it had graphic warnings of the prayers invoked by the current Pope. Anyway I have searched and cannot find the video now obviously delated but found a commentry on the event .
www.youtube.com...

A Pope getting caught publically praising the Devil

is the reason why he had to go....

But then ask yourself why all the cardinals and clergy were present to the same prayer....

Jesus Lives but within the Temple of ourselves and not the Temple of others

Very unenlightening

But Christian means to worship Christ
and so take heart if your catholic your on the right path
but your Temple is on the wrong one so go with your heart

I thought it was obvious that there were no saints in the Vatican?

Would like to hear a latin speaker confirm this...

Seeing how he wrote books denying Christ and committing apostasy and hearsay it wouldn't be a surprise. Hopefully for those who follow the faith may they get a Pope that is worthy of the title.

Flammas eius lucifer matutinus inveniat:
ille, inquam, lucifer, qui nescit occasum,
Christus Filius tuus qui,
regressus ab inferis,
humano generi serenus illuxit,
et vivit et regnat in saecula saeculorum.

May the Morning Star which never sets
find this flame still burning:
Christ, that Morning Star,
who came back from the dead,
and shed his peaceful light on all mankind,
your Son, who lives and reigns for ever and ever.

Thank you so much for the translation. My 2 years of high school Latin could not have done it justice.

Guess this does away with the Pope invoking Lucifer...

Morning Star is both Christ and the once named Lucifer (since renamed Satan)
* remember that Lucifer was once perfect, before his Fall (as legend has it)

Morning Star is also Venus
and all the various love/romance/womanly beauty associated with Venus

the connection is very fragile... the claim the Pope was envoking Evil is misconstrued

Jesus Christ is referred to in Scripture as the Morning Star (Rev 22:16.) "Morning star" is also a designation given to heavenly beings of some type, who sang together (Job 38:7).

"Lucifer" is the Anglicized version of "Lucius" or "Light Bringer." A liberal reading of Isaiah 14 may be talking about Lucifer as the Devil.

The video showed that there was a lot more to the translation than that. Did you watch both parts? It was 20 minutes long.

Would you mind watching all of it to translate in its entirety?

Oh dang, until I saw the translation I was thinking the Pope was doing an exorcism.

So much for that entertainment.

Good translation. Even that translated could be taken different ways, I think.

What's odd is that he, as the Pope, would even use the word Lucifer at all --- innit weird? Even if it has one meaning that means nothing, it has other connotations... People associate lucifer = Devil.

Spiritually, there seems to be something very dark and foreboding on the horizon.. As if a kind of power is gaining strength. Just a feeling I can't put my finger on.

It is a strange statement indeed. It should be noted of people who actually worship Lucifer, he is considered their Christ, their savior from Adonay. So merely referencing Christ does not mean they are referring to Jesus Christ (the Messiah/Saviour).

Jesus is the light of the world and so referring to Him as a created object, star/venus, is really stretching it.
