Sad news reported by earthquake-report

Update:- At least 2 people have been killed.
Update:- Many houses have collapsed, and no power is reported in parts of Balochistan. It is unknown the extent of these collapsed houses.
Update: Roofs of schools in Arawan district collapsed.

USGS continues to refine their size estimate--now to Mag 7.7. Unfortunately they have the Pager set at Red for fatalities (from 1000 up to 10,000 estimated by model) .

6 so far for Pakistan. These are big aftershocks, if that's what they are.

5.2 Khudzah - 27.1 km 8:08 UTC
5.6 Awaran - 27.7 km 7:01 UTC
5.0 Awaran - 25.7 km 6:42 UTC
4.7 Awaran - 10.1 km 6:07 UTC
4.9 Awaran - 24.5 km 5:36 UTC
7.7 Awaran - 20km. 5:29 UTC

Then one northeast of there in Russia of 5.0 (15 Km) at 9:39 UTC

Putterman - thank you for the reply earlier. I will be using your link to better understand the cascadia region. Especially since I saw a 3. pop up this morning. It makes a big difference - if not all are considered earthquakes. Good information.

On the Gwadar coastline, the quake created a small island about half a mile into the sea near an area called ‘Jhanda’, according to Express News. The newly appearing island is said to have a mountainous terrain rising up to a hundred feet. A large crowd was seen gathering at the site to see the new island.
The new island (an island who also appeared after the megathrust quake in 1945 and then vanished again) is making more news value than the earthquake itself..................

There seems to be swarm about to began in Tjörnes Fracture Zone in Iceland, at Husavik-Flatley Fault. Quake swarms on that area could last one day, or even weeks. There could be easily hundreds of quakes during one day. And there has been danger for "Big One" for quite long time already, it has potential for even 7 mag earthquake.

Looks as if we may have a mag 6 on the Southern East Pacific Rise

Prov,Date/Time UTC,Latitude,Longitude,Magnitude,Depth(Km),Location
emsc,2013-09-25 06:51:23, -50.038, -113.771, 6.0 Mw, 10.0, Southern East Pacific Rise
gfzp,2013-09-25 06:51:23, -49.830, -113.930, 6.0 M, 10.0, Southern East Pacific Rise
usgs,2013-09-25 06:51:24, -50.013, -113.771, 5.4 mb, 10.0, Southern East Pacific Rise

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone, you are all good people here

Olivine the link to Turkey is here
If you are looking for August it is not there yet, I've been having trouble with the Turkish Republic Disaster and Emergency Management Presedency, Earthquake Departments data, they reverted to just offering 30 days at a time and the search won't return historic data any more, I wrote to them and they replied basically instructing me to do what I had already been doing, but it still wouldn't work, I wrote again but they never replied.
So in July I had to revert to Bogazici University, Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute for data, then I left September too late and went away so missed the beginning of the month (they only do 3+ beyond 30 days).

Your historic map was what I was looking for. The recent data from EMSC via the QVS program is sufficient for what I was trying to ferret out.
Thanks so much.
