What I want to know is where are all the a$$ hats that said the NDAA didn't allow for indefinite detention? hmmm?

We argued for page after page about what was written in plain English. "No it doesn't apply to citizens" the shill army said. When clearly it does.

Where is the army of shills now? You said oh don't worry it won't pass and all other kinds of crap.

Well it passed. Obama is even fighting in the courts to keep those provisions.

You people who think you are part of the system and therefore safe from it are in for a real awakening

Why would they when they benefit the most from the status quo? Soldiers on the other hand are a different story, I feel comfortable putting some faith in them.

True, up to a point. Be aware, once you start talking about officers of the military organizations, be aware that at a certain level, those become political promotions and appointments, and administrations are VERY CAREFUL to only appoint those who agree with their positions. Enlisted men and women, for the most part, are trustworthy, but even there, be aware that some have sold out to politicians, and report any dissent to the politicians.
I am a supporter of the free militias of the various states, as permitted under the US Constitution, but of course, as I am sure people understand, there are political plants in most of those militia. This country has become an extreme dictatorship, under the guise of an "elected" government, but we have about as much power to elect those that we support, as people in the old USSR did, when everyone "Voted for Joe (Stalin), or shoveled snow".

I don't even understand how this can happen to tell you the truth. I just don't even understand how it can happen.

The stay will remain in effect until at least September 28, when a three-judge appeals court panel is expected to begin addressing the issue.

I will tell you how this has happened. The government considers itself in a state of war with certain of its citizens and thus the suspension of these rights without gathering any evidence before hand or worry about a speedy trial.

Do you have any PROOF of that remark, or is it just an empty rant? I really would like to know what you base that remark on.

I don't understand your post. How does this prove that the original Founding Fathers were liars? I don't see how your remark proves that.

This kind of logic is what will get OBAMA re-elected and he's hoping for it.
Frankly, I think its a foolish idea. Until we are ready to scrap the 2 party system in this country,
that will unfortunately never change.

In the opinion of Benjamin Zablacki, a professor of Sociology at Rutgers University, groups that have been characterized as cults are at high risk of becoming abusive to members. He states that this is in part due to members' adulation of charismatic leaders contributing to the leaders becoming corrupted by power. Zablocki defines a cult as an ideological organization held together by charismatic relationships and the demand of total commitment.

I think nations fall under this characterization of a cult. You either do what your leader tells you to do or else. Conform or die.

I can't say I am horribly suprised by any of this crap. We started down the wrong road by not officially challenging 9-11 and the cia-mossad false flag operation. If the muslims had beef with america it was for good reason because america and europe have been exploiting them for decades. The problem is it seems the american government was so pathetically evil it decided TO EXPLOIT the chance to continue its imperialism in asia and the middle east, thus continuing to slice the influence of russia and china in their own backyards.

Americans can be indefinitely detained. I guess this should make republicans very happy since hypothetically speaking muslims can continue to get molestated by the government without reasonable recourse. No lawyers and no trial. People like to bitch about stalin and hitler yet when we combine all the deaths of socialism versus capitalism I think capitalism hands down gets the # award of the millenium. We might as well go back to monarchy whereby just looking at the emporer would earn you a death sentence.

The patriot act and DHS NEEDS TO BE REPEALED and that horrendous unconstitional waste of debt can be funneled into social services.

Obama actually waived Americans from being detained. He signed an EO to make it law that the NDAA cannot apply to Americans.

So Amerians are not included in the definite detention of the bill

sorry Alex Jones listeners the facts dont agree with they hysteria he is spreading..

If anyone wants to see bias in action, compare a CNN article from 2002 criticising Bush for going into Iraq without express Congressional consent with a recent one by CNN suggesting that ALL Presidents go to war in various places without express Congressional approval, and it even goes so far as to suggest that while Republicans voted down operations in Libya, they didn't vote to defund it. Well gee I wonder why. Nothing like sending troops in to die immediately.

So here's the anti Bush article and note the headline "President needs congressional approval to declare war on Iraq "

archives.cnn.com...

And here is the recent pro Obama arfticle and note the headline "War powers belong to Congress and the president"

articles.cnn.com...:OPINION

I love a good compare and contrast don't you guys?
Bush bad for Patriot Actand war Obama good for NDAA and war
websites like Huffpo and Democratic Underground and the media suggest that Obama could not veto NDAA, that it would have done nothing and that the bill would become law anyway.

Detention of Americans is not the only the thing the NDAA Provides for

The House military authorization bill includes billions for weapon systems designed for saber-rattling toward Iran, and possibly for use in an attack on Iran. The bill would also require the administration to prepare for war by dramatically escalating the U.S. military presence in the Mideast.
While the bill does not explicitly state that the new weapons systems it includes would be used for war with Iran, a staffer from the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) has reportedly explained that the additional funding for weapon systems 'could be used in a war with Iran'.

Again Obama overriding Congress with an EO and now he has used the DOJ to go up against a judge ruling indefiniite detention of Americans under NDAA UnConstitutional. You need to get your facts straight. Obama doesn't need an EO to override Congress if a judge has already done it...see what I mean? Now he has appealed the judge, so it looks like he wants NDAA after all. This is what the ruckus is about. Maybe the lefitists who are super duper anti war will see this for what it is. But generally they tend to suggest Obama is really a centrist in wolves clothing.
