Emphasising the US presence in the Asia-Pacific region, where there is growing rivalry with an increasingly assertive China, Obama also said the military would remain vigilant in the Middle East. US troops last month completed their withdrawal from Iraq, which was invaded in 2003 to topple Saddam Hussein, and are winding down their presence in Afghanistan. "We'll be strengthening our presence in the Asia Pacific, and budget reductions will not come at the expense of this critical region," he said.
Al Jazeera’s Rosiland Jordan, reporting from Washington, said: "We are going to see a shift after more than 60 years of the US being very concerned about security issues in Europe with an eye on the former Soviet Union. "Even though the US is not going to leave NATO, it is going to be shifting much of its security posture away from Europe and more towards Asia Pacific region."
As the war in Iraq winds down and America begins to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan, the United States stands at a pivot point. Over the last 10 years, we have allocated immense resources to those two theaters. In the next 10 years, we need to be smart and systematic about where we invest time and energy, so that we put ourselves in the best position to sustain our leadership, secure our interests, and advance our values. One of the most important tasks of American statecraft over the next decade will therefore be to lock in a substantially increased investment -- diplomatic, economic, strategic, and otherwise -- in the Asia-Pacific region.

I had mentioned that about a month ago.

Introduction
I heard from a source of mine who works in intelligence that the United States is going to be moving its military assets to the Pacific front in order to deal with a massive threat from China.
Anyway, I will be providing evidence from sources that are openly available to the public and not relying on anything the source said, because I don't want to leak sensitive information or anything.
I was told this months ago, but thought of it again when reading about intelligence that was recently leaked by someone in the Obama administration that details the same thing. Since I have a unique perspective on the situation, I'll try to get the information for you all.
Congress Discusses Intelligence Leaks
This article talks about the intelligence leaks I was mentioning. Although it does not go into specifics, I will try to locate something that mentions the new war front.
Obama Reveals Leaner US Defense Strategy
Okay, here we go. It isn't exactly what I was looking for because it doesn't come directly from the leak, but check out these quotes:

One thing you guys should know is that the information I am talking about in the leak came from talks between Obama, Hillary Clinton, and others in the war room. So there you have a statement from Obama talking about the presence in the Pacific...
America's Pacific Century
And here is an article written by Hillary Clinton saying the same thing.

Obama Administration's Rebalancing Towards Asia
Here is a .pdf that details the plans more specifically.
