Exclusive - Mourdock: 'Confront Democrats and Convert Them'
Breitbart Story

Richard Mourdock is currently the Indiana State Treasurer and he is the one challenging Indiana U.S. Senator Dick Lugar.

Mourdock is Tea Party.

And, Sarah Palin has endorsed him !! (Gulp)

Long article and interview.

Many people think he has the "charisma" to somehow "convert" Democrats
( tough nuts to crack, that's for sure !
)

Democrats are hoping that Indiana Treasurer Richard Mourdock’s decision to challenge 36-year veteran Dick Lugar for his Republican Senate seat may give them an advantage in the upcoming election.

But in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, the pro-Tea Party candidate says that he’s more confident than ever that mainstream, moderate Americans are ready to go Red. What they’re looking for, Mourdock says, are conservative candidates who are ready to stand up to unfriendly crowds--and that they want to elect Republican leaders with the charisma to convert liberals.

"Liberal" Democrats are very very dedicated to the Left Wing (and sometimes Marxist) ideals and principals.

"Converting" them is difficult, as they often won't acknowledge the true and genuine conservative principals.

Many members of Congress belong to the
Congressional Progressive Caucus

How Does somebody "Convert" a Liberal ?

Confront and convert?

Sounds like a cult - wonder what flavor the Kool-Aid's going to be.

It's funny, there's a member here whose avatar is a picture of Obama saying "You will be assimilated." I guess both sides would like to forcibly assimilate the American people to do their bidding.

Well, it sure beats the cry of some of the more extreme of the far left who would prefer to confront and destroy republicans and conservatives.

Of course it's all empty rhetoric when no one can possible think folks on the street will remember a thing he's saying the next time politics comes up and passions flare. I suppose it's not hateful rhetoric for a change though, so that's something.

The extremists on both sides say stupid and violent things.

Ever heard of Ted Nugent?

What convert them to Neo Cons?

Haha what a joke.

Find somebody and convert them to exactly the same party, only one that is socially conservative and prefers less gun laws.

Perhaps that's a good point.

Many say "once a liberal, always a liberal".

If they appear to convert, maybe we get a hidden agenda under the guise of something else ?

Hmmm.

First you'd have to send them to rehab to get them off the weed.

...then you'd have to give them lobotomies, then they might have what it takes.

You bet...although the specific person is an example I wouldn't agree on, I worded that carefully to be narrow to the extreme I meant. I'm trying to turn a new leaf for not stereotyping and generalizing as much. That extreme does exist on both sides though...(cough)..Coulter..(cough)..

The quickest part of this mess:

Most "Liberals" are there because they think that Corporations are evil. All you have to do is remind them that our government is a Corporation too.
Pitting your trust of one against the other isn't going to wind up with a win for you.

WOW....At least you didn't say communist?

Allen West: About 78 to 81 House Democrats "are members of the Communist Party. ... It’s called the Congressional Progressive Caucus."

Maybe you were just concerned that there is a "Caucus" of progressives in congress?

If so, how do you feel about the TEA PARTY CAUCUS?

Most Conservatives believe government is evil, that government employees are lazy and living off of taxpayer money is mooching, yet show up at rallys to cheer for idiots who are working for the goverment and get paid in tax dollars. Maybe point out that irony?

And if you don't understand the difference between a government and a corporation then god help you.

If there was just some secret formula to increase the intelligence of conservatives, we could convert them all to liberals.

What I see are a whole lot of people in the middle, like myself, unhappy with both parties.

What we need is a legitimate party to represent moderates in the middle to get rid of the political correctness of the left and the free market beliefs of the right, and then we could straighten this country up.

The fact that you would even contemplate such a question is truly disgusting, not to mention alarmingly ignorant.

Is there anything or anyone that you DON'T want to convert?

yeah, tell them freedom to convert to liberty the GOP and they strength will live in prosperity a country with streets lined with gold

and then the rich will get tax breaks the rest of us pay for

Good luck with that. The Democrats' party platform can essentially be summed up as 'Vote for us and we'll give you free sh** at someone else's expense.' Simple, mindless, and incredibly effective with a fairly large segment of the population, unfortunately.

1. go ahead. Both sides can use a swift kick in the pants, at times.

2. Yes, there's plenty of things that separate a Government from a true Corporation--one being who has the right to infringe upon what by their mere nature. Problem is that a lot of Governments are run like a Corporation, and a lot of Corporations are run like they have the power of their own little Government to back all that they do. This isn't a comment because they're identical, but because of the danger of giving your life over to one to defend yourself from the other without reguard for the similarities in how they behave.

Basically: You got the rules that everyone assumes we're playing this game with, and you got how they go against those rules. All parties. Any given day. Simply choose your monster and turn it into your savior--but don't be surprised with your savior does a bit more than bite the hand that feeds it.

My god, how dare those evil democrats raise taxes on those Wall Street executives just so that families that are living in poverty are able to receive assistance so they can put food on their family's table.

Shame on them.
