People who grow up under a socialist government have no clue what freedom is all about. How can you miss what you haven't known? American citizens understand that our freedoms are being eroded and are understandably concerned.

Well, ok. By the way, I'm American. I've even served my country proudly

For you to denigrate that concern with your moronic reference to Walmart and McDonalds is insulting and highlights your smug sense of superiority.

Well, here's your Kleenex then. I trust your overwhelming sense of self-importance won't be too damaged by the horrors of my insults. How dare I point out what we, as Americans, truly value!

Americans do not shed a tear, We stand and fight!

Yeah. Look at you stand and fight here on the interwebs! You're so brave, guy! You're such a patriot.

Thank you for your service to our country.
I don't need you Kleenex, thank you...I prefer Puffs.
I am not a guy. I have not served in the military but I am proud of all the members in my family who have served our country in many branches of our miltary.
Your accuse me of an overwhelming sense of self-importance because I dare to challenge your judgemental statements? That is the height of arrogance. I must have tickled a sore spot.

When did you speak to every person is this country to determine their priorities? Why do you believe that Walmart and McDonalds are of such importance to Americans? There are millions of people in this country and just as many wants, needs and desires. To catagorize all of them the way you did is unjustifiable.

I count it a blessing to be living in this country (U.S.A.) and while I do not have overwhelming pride in all this country has done, I am not ashamed of our country or of our citizens. We are all human beings struggling with whatever problems we face each and every day. We are not the cookie-cutter, mindless oafs that so many would like to believe we are.

I do, because you were so horrified by my Walmart statement. Talk about hitting a sore spot. As far as insults go, that had to have been one of the weakest ones ever.

I was speaking more to the faux patriot here in ATS that's constantly whining about how America is going down the toilet and martial law is just around the corner, but you know what? Those statements apply to America as a whole, too.

Why do I think that's our priority? What country do YOU live in? Wanna know what Americans do better than anyone else on the planet?

Consume.

We may not be too good at numbers and science and general common sense, but by God we can consume the # out of anything you throw at us.

Why do I believe Walmart and Mcdonalds are so important? Because they're on every other block in America. Along with Starbucks. We vote with our money in this country, and let me tell you, the masses have spoken.

But I digress. Again, that wasn't really my point. Hey, I love this country. I'm just scratching my head at when it became vogue to incessantly complain about the country you supposedly love so much.

Well hopefully Jim Mars, oops I mean Drake is correct that they are gearing up to take down the Corrupt bastads in this country and others.

80 percent of our military has already said they would never come against the American people yet they see our government do it all the time and it is pissing them off.

They plan on sealing the borders, shut down overseas travel and clean house. The police will be doing the most arrest unless they need army support to take down some criminals with private security help.

I wanted to keep up with this thread. However, despite my effort to subscribe, it is not showing up in MyATS. Anyone else have problems with this thread?

ETA: Posting to the thread finally brought it up. I guess it was just some technical glitch...or maybe...

i do not believe our military will be doing this no. even if the orders were given i'm confident that a larger majority of military personnel would defy such an order and side with their people.

I to would like to believe this- BUT! How many times have we said to ourselves this cant be true they wont allow this to happen...our beliefs/hopes are NOT facts and we can not depend on personal beliefs. If the military is actively partaking in these drills that means they are willing to carry out these unconstitutional orders, sadly there are many people that believe in survival of the fittest and are happy to bludgeon peaceful protesters/ people in need of food (talking Katrina here) as long as they are guaranteed a pay check and a safe haven for them and theirs.

As the days pass and our country continues to look more like a despotic third world hell hole it is becoming apparent that armed revolution may be the only solution

Think about it. There are hundreds of us bases around the world and America must be ready next time there interests of the richest 0.1 percent are at stake anywhere in the world.

Nothing is being planned that would shut down the us, no martial law, no genocide, nothing like that.
