ABC news- GZ video shows injury

The never-before-seen evidence of an injury to Zimmerman, in this case a gash or mark to his head, would appear to back his claim that he shot Martin in self defense after he was attacked by Martin on the night of Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fla

Is it possible they know that GZ did not do it and are CYA'ing themselves...

Because his Lawyer will be able to prove he was attacked....

You do know what happens when it comes out...

I wonder if Al and Jesse will be apologizing... because if it is true he has a defamation suit against them if wants to... and the news media to boot...

IT would explain why the Chief stepped aside, so that they could use this death as a political weapon

It makes no difference what injuries that is on GZ's head other than to prove him a lair. Its not against the law to defend yourself and as we don't have conclusive evidence of who started the confrontation, it doesn't matter.

Since GZ has spread information that his nose was broken, anything less proves him a liar.

3)Its a pretty obvious sound, really.
4)Lies, lies lies....
5)I never said zimmerman murdered the kid. More and more lies. Can you type a sentence without lying?

The police report says Zimmerman was bloodied. They arrived just after the shooting. Did Zimmerman bloody himself? The more I read you, the more I think you are just like Zimmerman.

I jump to conclusions and I speculate but I know I may not be right. You on the other hand jump to so many conclusions and you are so adamant you are correct. You are just like Zimmerman I suspect!:

I don't know maybe zimmerman did bloody himself.

Enough said... I don't think I can follow that logic so I will let you win.

Ok give me a break! Go back to nursery school already. Learn the sticks and stones rhyme and learn to run. Get over yourself... "He was attaked via a verbal assult" LOL
I have been called names and I never once felt my life was in danger! You are funny!

"fighting words" such as the "N" word, are absolutely considered an assault in american law.

Nice try though.

Mostly only black people are calling each other N_GG_R, how come they can? Are they special? Different? How come they can say it and nobody else on the planet can?
This disturbs me greatly
There is not a black man or woman born in the United States in the last 100 years that can claim they are a slave more that anyone else.
I am white and a veteran. Yet I have less opportunity. WHY?

Why do you want to use the N word? Who would you direct it at?

Ppfft!!! nice try sailor

I dont know what I was trying to do. I just can't think of a time in my life when I would ever need to use that word, but thanks for not answering my question. That seems to be how things work around here.

It would. He had every right to protect himself. He just didn't have the right tool if it went down like you "know" how it went down in your head. He brought a chip on his shoulder to a gun fight... Let it be a lesson to all..

This is no way proves who started the fight, what do you expect Zimmerman to say oh officer i just shot someone oh and by the way I started it

You keep your video Ill raise you two voice analysis experts opinions. If it comes out that was Trayvon screaming for help your boy scout is toast.

He admitted following him on the 911 call. If you don't know that then you just proved you know NOTHING of this case.

When told 'we don't need you to do that' .. he says 'okay'....he was following him and he kept following him until the confrontation. That is why if anyone could 'stand your ground' it would be treyvon and not zimmerman.

He wasnt looking a fight , he didnt bring anything to anything. He was taking some skittles and ice tea home. He wasnt looking a fight. The fight was brought to him.

Tray was in a neighborhood that dictated a certain social norm. He was going to be profiled and he should have accepted it and moved on. I know I would be profiled in an African American neighborhood and in some of those, I would end up the same way as Tray.

Social norms matter in the real world. Maybe you are black and you can get around those types of neighborhoods. Us white people cannot get around in those places without running where ever we go. I know for a fact if I went to 7 & Vandyke in Detroit right now, got out of my jeep and took a stroll it would take less than 5 minutes for me to become a victim. Again, its a social norm. Its laughable that you try and convince us otherwise...

Got a story for you. (By the way, this neighborhood he was in was mixed, so how was he not acting in the "social norm?" Are you saying that no other black folks in that neighborhood walk at night?)

Last summer, probably around 6:00-ish in the evening on the weekend, I was sitting on my front porch while my kids were out playing. I live in a subdivision outside of Charleston, South Carolina, which is a mixed, very relaxed and friendly neighborhood, no gates. Petty thefts and break-ins happen here probably 2 to 3 times a month, as well as other crimes. It's a typical neighborhood, not too upper class but not ghetto. Just your average, middle class homes and people.

I suddenly hear voices and see these two teenagers come walking down the street. I didn't know what to think. One had his pants hanging down his butt (I can't stand that! lol) and a t-shirt, another had a tank top and long baggy shorts. I didn't really recognize them but didn't pay them any mind. Then they started walking up my driveway! OMG! Still, I smiled and said, "Hi, can I help you?"

Then..... they asked if I would like my yard mowed and edged. It needed it
So I gave them each $15 (I have a small yard and that's all I had) and they did a nice job and went on their way. They were 16 and lived a couple of streets over. Nice kids.

True story.

Would you have run? I'm a 40-year-old female. They didn't scare me.

1)More and more lies. I never said I "know how it went down", in fact, I havent even said what my opinion is on the matter. You guys are pathetic. Try having a conversation without lying and distorting things.

2)How do you know he had a chip on his shoulder?

3)Even if he did, he was being followed, meaning he would be completely legal in confronting the follower, based on stand your ground laws. Which would make this shooting unlawful, REGARDLESS of who threw the first punch.

The way I see it, by exiting his vehicle Zimmerman left a safe/secure location in order to instigate a response from Trayvon - and so the "stand your ground" law doesn't apply. Zimmerman purposely left his ground in order to invade Trayvon's ground.

If there actually was any sort of physical altercation, Trayvon didn't just randomly attack Zimmerman - either Zimmerman forced him into an altercation, possibly at gunpoint, or Trayvon had no other choice but to attack. It seems that most likely Trayvon was "standing his ground" when he was killed.

Again to this is directed to pops,

Care to address what I just posted, If Zimmerman lied to police in his report I question his whole story.

articles.orlandosentinel.com... c-certainty

Tom Owen, forensic consultant for Owen Forensic Services LLC and chair emeritus for the American Board of Recorded Evidence, used voice identification software to rule out Zimmerman. Another expert contacted by the Sentinel, utilizing different techniques, came to the same conclusion.

Owen, a court-qualified expert witness and former chief engineer for the New York Public Library's Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound, is an authority on biometric voice analysis — a computerized process comparing attributes of voices to determine whether they match.

"I took all of the screams and put those together, and cut out everything else," Owen says. The software compared that audio to Zimmerman's voice. It returned a 48 percent match. Owen said to reach a positive match with audio of this quality, he'd expect higher than 90 percent. "As a result of that, you can say with reasonable scientific certainty that it's not Zimmerman,"

Owen says the audio from Zimmerman's call is much better quality than the 911 call in the Davalloo case. Voice identification experts judge the quality based on a signal-to-noise ratio; in other words, comparing the usable audio in a clip to the environmental noises that make a match difficult. And the call on which the screams are heard is better quality than is necessary, Owen says. "In our world, that's the home run," he says.

Not all experts rely on biometrics. Ed Primeau, a Michigan-based audio engineer and forensics expert, is not a believer in the technology's use in courtroom settings. He relies instead on audio enhancement and human analysis based on forensic experience. After listening closely to the 911 tape on which the screams are heard, Primeau also has a strong opinion. "I believe that's Trayvon Martin in the background, without a doubt," Primeau says, stressing that the tone of the voice is a giveaway. "That's a young man screaming."

So pops I clearly ask you to directly reply to me and this information I have posted, If you don't I think all here can see where you stand on an actual "discussion".

Unless YOU live in that neighbourhood I doubt it. That neighbourhood is an ethnically mixed neighbourhood, evidenced OBVIOUSLY by a Hispanic guy (GZ) and Trayvon's father. I wonder why you were unable to work this out..

He was going to be profiled and he should have accepted it and moved on.

Because in your non-La la Land' racial profiling is just a fact of life? eh?

I know I would be profiled in an African American neighborhood and in some of those, I would end up the same way as Tray.

Because you know exactly what its like to be an African American. Right?

Social norms matter in the real world. Maybe you are black and you can get around those types of neighborhoods.

The majority of neighbourhoods in the US are white. Black people have to get around those neighbourhood where often gun ownership is encouraged and the local sheriff is 'unsimpofetic to dem brown peoples'.

Us white people cannot get around in those places without running where ever we go.

'Us white people'as in 'Us white people that would rather run in traffic to avoid the GOLDEN GRILL' or the rest of the white folk, some of whom LIVE IN these 'gansgta neighbourhoods'?

I know for a fact if I went to 7 & Vandyke in Detroit right now, got out of my jeep and took a stroll it would take less than 5 minutes for me to become a victim.

Dude, YOU ARE A WALKING VICTIM. Everything you say is about your vulnerability. I'm sure you wouldn't understand that though.

Again, its a social norm. Its laughable that you try and convince us otherwise...

Its YOUR social norm. To be honest, I'd hate to live a life like that. Its interesting how scared people can make themselves.

Put this under Speculation - - but I'm gonna post it anyway.

I heard or read somewhere - - couple weeks ago - - that Zimmerman's nose was bleeding from a cut on the side - - not from the nose - - like a nose bleed.

I started first listening to this on Talk Radio - - before it was on ATS. So I can't really say where I heard or read it.

The man seemed to indicate he had first hand knowledge.

Speculation - - don't want anyone to jump to conclusions.

Your right... You can never argue with closed minds...

I was not referring at all to this...

I was referring to the news medias coverage... They are the ones who played the tape without full analysis and now have to worry about defamation... then, was it nbc who got caught editing the tape...

As for the good reverends, same applies...

If you really want to know... It does matter... the injuries go with his story and the police report...

As for bloody noses... sometimes they heal quickly... every time they get broken does not spread blood everywhere....

I understand now why everyone is groaning when this comes up... it is the equivalent to asking about the holocaust and questioning numbers...

A friend showed me his research and theorized that more bodies might be in antartica or the artic nazi bases the US supposedly has... but like this situation you never get past the questioning point... all of a sudden your racist, or a h-denier, or a birther, a conspircay theorist ect...

I guess this conversation has devolved past good morals and manners...

I am actually going to change my mind on something and say...

Thank you mods for a job well done on this garbage... I understand the emotional bs just from this post..

So to sum it up...

News media scrambling to CYA--

hey weight a second he might be telling the truth...

and...

Smack dab into Analytical overlay...

I end this with a thought...

Today Obama said the decision over healthcare should not be left in the hands of un-elected people...

Is it possible the coverage on this case is a first step to alter the justice system?

step A blame the supreme court

step b- show the courts ignoring a 'hate crime'

step c get everyone of your supporters to throw out the court system

scary thought that this case may be a red flag....

So you are saying all 17 year old kids flip off the camera in a iced out grill and wife beater?

I mean Treyvon was tying very hard to fit the stereo type "Then wonders why he is being followed " yet he is some innocent kid that just so happened to do burglaries, umm yeah perfectly normal kid all right

I don't know about you but I certainly don't let my kids act that way and pursue a life of crime and drugs.

This is unacceptable

edit : would you like me to go to facebook and find random photos of teens that do not act/look this way?

edit on 2-4-2012 by Unknown Soldier because: (no reason given)

I say this only to make my point, but I sure hope Zimmerman never gets a chance to follow your child. I bet you would feel much different about this situation if it was you child.

My child would call the cops if some man was following behind, not attack them and try and take the mans gun

It wouldn't have mattered if Treyvon had called the cops.....Zimmerman had already called 911 they were already on the way because of the 'suspicious' male call he called in....so even if Treyvon had called 911 Zimmerman never gave them the chance to show up....so your logic fails there as well.....treyvon did the only thing he could do...he screamed for his life and fought for his life....if anyone was 'standing their ground' in pure self defense it was Treyvon.
So again, I hope zimmerman is never following your child, because 911 wont be able to save them.

and again you are just making things up implying treyvon attacked anyone ore tried to take anyones gun.

Yes, he had every LEGAL right to confront Zimmerman if he felt disrespected or threatened. Should he have is the question? He sure couldn't back up that LEGAL right you soooo defend could he?

Don't be a fool thinking you can just confront everyone that gets in your face. Tray unfortunately taught YOU that lesson one more time..
You go right ahead and do that though so we can learn from you too! Then again, maybe you are just young. I thought I was invincible once too. Yet another lesson Tray taught you young people all over America.
