Do you have any information on thought to be extinct volcanoes having large amounts of activity as some of these places mentioned seem to be quite active areas anyway.

I would really start to worry if we see an eruption in the UK but Iceland et al are not really anything to panick about imo.

Isn't volcanic activity pretty much always constant with some variations here and there? Don't get me wrong, I agree that there is something in the air. I just can't shake the fact that this could be a normal 'earthly' thing.

I think what the OP was referring to was "the signs coming out of the earth"

Such as the Nabro Volcano which erupted for the first time in recorded history towards the end of last year if I remember correctly!

Any news about that new Island being formed in the Canaries? I remember it on the news a few weeks ago.

Where's the comparable control data for this time last year?

Very hard to say, is a combination of phenomena and events and we may have not seen some of them yet.Maybe a massive continental drift coupled with other phenomena as magnetic poles reversal,who knows exactly..

I think the eruption continues every day and a new island is formed.
